I may have almost destroyed Elysium Academy, but there's no way in hell I'm staying away.
Now that I know the secret mission of the Order of Eden, I’m more determined than ever to find out what happened to my brother. Even if it means trusting Marius. The truth will be worth it.
But now that I'm staying here indefinitely, I have to shape up and actually pass my classes. Kind of easier said than done when I checked out for a full semester...and I'm not even technically a guardian. That plus some cupid magic gone crazily awry, accidentally snooping in the guys' dormitories, and a mysterious scroll I stumble over while doing some extra credit work puts a lot of pressure on just one human...or whatever it is I am.
Still, for the first time in my life, I might have friends I can trust: Violet, Lucy, and Steve.
Marius, though? I’m not so sure.
I don't want to have to keep his secrets. But I may not have a choice.
We have mystery and suspense. Marius and Quinn have an kind of agreement, but can Quinn trust him? What she finds out about her brother has her mistrusting the Order? What is really going on in the Order? What will happen with her friends? Quinn can't seem to get things right. Will what friends she have leave her? Why is she even at the Academy, when she feels like she has no magic, but what does she have? Now a new threat is ahead? Can't wait for the next book to see what happens?

Second book and it’s a doozie! Quinn finally has a lead on her brothers connection to the academy and hopes to be able to follow but there’s more danger, there’s more magic and classes to pass! This is a great continuation / addition to this series and just keeps getting better and better!
After Quinn quite literally brought the roof down, Marius kept his word and explained the Order to her. Now that Quinn knows that she’s probably a little more than human, and especially that Elysium holds the answers to what happened to Scott, she’s determined to stay. She studies hard, spends time with the Order x especially Marius - and tries to find clues. Unfortunately someone else is interested in Quinn, and she has no idea. Meanwhile, Violet is starting a school newspaper (with Quinn on the cover) and Steve is trying out for the philodisc team, so everyone is run ragged. This was an excellent addition to this series. Quinn finally has a lead concerning her brother’s connection to the Academy and there is no way she’s leaving now. Unfortunately, with her busted first year she may not have a choice and the chance for real answers for her brother and herself will never be obtained. With danger approaching Quinn has to find a way to stay even if it requires extra credit in a dusty library for the Elysium Academy may just be her safest place. This thrilling magical and dangerous tale is definitely worth giving a read.
Quinn’s Human? This installment, while still an exciting tale, has a storyline that branches off into various mini problems with Quinn’s friends that distract her before coming back to Quinn’s quest to search for answers about the Order and her brother. Just as her journey looks so promising we are hit with a twist before the cliffhanger. This intense and thrilling installment is a not-to-miss addition to the “Elysium Academy” series. This is a brilliant read. Wonderful well written plot and story line that had me engaged from the start. Love the well fleshed out characters and found them believable. Great suspense and action with wonderful world building. Can't wait to read what the author brings out next. Recommend reading.
I read a complimentary advance copy of the book; this is my voluntary and honest review.
Book 2 gives a quick recap and moves ahead. Though we don't know more about why Quinn is at the academy or anything that uncovers her brother's death, there's a lot happening in the book itself.
This book is focused plot development and base building for the upcoming sequels, this is in a way a bridge between book 1 where a lot happened and book 2 where the main action is towards the end of the book.

In this second installment of the "Elysium Academy" series the plot thickens. Secrets are revealed and yet more mysteries arise. Still trying to find out what happened to her brother, Quinn gets entangled with the Order of Eden. Mystery, suspense, plenty of action and... maybe a dash of romance? We'll see... I can't wait for book 3!!!
