I love me a good paranormal book with werewolves as the headliner but, a paranormal book with werewolves and centaurs?!!!! Yes please! After having an unhealthy obsession with one of her college professors (who happens to be Trell Smith) then, having a breakdown, Claire’s daddy packed her azz up and moved her back home for some much needed me time at Full Moon Mental Health Hospital. Three months later, our girl has a clear mind and she’s ready for her new venture as the manager of her family’s casino. Mason has been hired as the new head of security at Summer’s Casino and as personal security for Claire as well. When these two meet for the first time, the Angels are singing, the birds are chirping, and the butterflies are fluttering. In that moment, he knew he had found his wife. Mason is well aware of Claire’s werewolf lineage but, she’s none the wiser to his centaur background. When the Quileute Tribe finds out a family of centaurs have not only moved onto their scared land but, they’ve also been embraced by the Tribal Chief, the proverbial shyt hits the fan. Queue the schemin’ and the backstabbin’. I really enjoyed Summer’s Howl. It was definitely giving Black Twilight with a touch of ghetto Greek mythology. I have hella questions about this bloodline tho. What these crossbreed babies lookin' like?!!! This is taking "biracial" to a whole new level.
I dont know how I missed this! I saw that Willow has a book coming out and it lead me to this one. I really enjoyed this read. It took 2 of my favorite genres and blended them perfectly. I loved Mason and Kyle. Kyle kept me entertained and Mason bought the energy. I can already tell Willow is going to be a handful.
Not the best I’ve read, but not the worst either. There were aspects to this story I liked, like the strong family ties. The two hot brothers didn’t hurt either. I did find it kinda dragged a bit and I found myself wondering when it would end. Despite the occasional grammar/spelling error it was written as a modern paranormal which was cool.
Each book keeps getting better and better. I love your versatility. I’m glad Claire finally got the love and family she deserved. Now I’m looking for a centaur. Can’t wait to see what you come up with next.
So good and very interesting😃.. I'm so happy for Claire she found her true identity.. But this is a first time hearing about cantarus and wolf's getting hooked up. But you did that Mel Dau.... I'm loving it.. MUST READ👏👏👏
It tooked me a moment to get into this book. Man once I did it was great. Since I have family from lumberton , NC. I been giving them the side eye. Overall i recommend this book to anyone.
Paranormal is generally not my thing but I decided to give this book a chance because I'm a new Mel Dau fan and I'll read whatever she writes. Once I found out who the book was about I was really all in because I wanted to see if Claire was able to redeem herself from a previous read. (You gotta read her other series) This book shows Claire in a different light trying to recover from her past while embracing her new role in the family business. Walking into her role becomes easier with the help of Mason the head of security. I loved Claire and Mason's relationship and the other characters were just as enjoyable. The beast within couldn't stop they love brewing between the characters. The way they captured each other's heart made me forget they weren't normal. Loved it!
No real powers… I thought this would be interesting with Claire leaving the way she did and it was but they didn't have any real super powers so that was a fail. With it being so closely tied to Twilight that also took away from the read, Mason and his brothers didn't really do much and again didn't have any powers so they didn't add anything to this one. The ending jumping so far in the future was another let down with this one. Maybe if the author read other paranormal books this one would've been better.
I’m not a normal reader of paranormal books but this was such an amazing story! I have never seen Twilight, so I didn’t have a reference and honestly, it didn’t matter. One thing I learned, there are heauxs and n words even in the paranormal world. I loved the Summers sister and the Lourie brothers. I have a new found love for Claire. She was a bit misguided but one e she found herself, she was amazing!
This novella had everything from laughter to tears. Mel didn't dissapoint and her growth as an author keeps shining bright. It's amazing how I went from hating Claire in Trells story but loved and rooted for her. Those centaur brothers were no joke! Great urban paranormal Mel Dau!
Wow..this author has done it again. I love anything she releases. This story was so good. I wasn’t expecting this storyline but it held me captive. If Claire story was of wolves and centaurs, I can’t wait to see what the dude that wore the shades to cover his eyes story gone be. Awesome job!!
This book was so good, I was so glad she finally found someone to love her for her, when she came into her own she was just pure fire from that point on, I love summer and can’t wait for more
This was such a good story!!! Reading about the Centaurs was real treat so grateful that you used it and not the other normal paranormal enities!!! I look forward to reading more from this Author!
You did your thang sister. I could not stop laughing this book was so funny. To me it was a very nice change from what I have been reading. Don’t get me wrong I love all my type of authors and love to read it was just this book had my sis hurting 😂😂😂Great Job. Hope it’s a 2
I know we were all mad at Claire from Trell and Tae but she redeemed herself. I really enjoyed Claire’s story. This was a really good paranormal romance novel.
Man i really enjoyed reading this book it was very interesting i loved how everyone came together & r living in peace both couples got their happy ending including Clare's sister Rai this author did good with her 1st paranormal book
This book was phenomenal and truly amazing I felt like I was reading and old romance novel because of the centaurs but I loved it because it was different and Kyle was amazing with his semi reckless attitude even though I loved all the characters this was and amazing read
The mixture of species was definitely informative. I had to look up what everyone would look like. This erotic paranormal was out of the box good Something new, blue, borrows and forever loyalty and love Oh definitely need Rai story she something....
This book was awesome. I love that they both different packs and all was able to come together as a family. Its sad how a person can be so jealous that they would try harming others. This is a must read..
I loved the story line and the characters. I even liked that the author would switch point of views. The writing style and some if the langauge was different than what I normally read and I found myself being distracted by it sometimes but I would read more from this author.
I really appreciated this fan fiction/original creation. I actually enjoyed this better than Twilight. Wolves and centaurs, interracial & interspecies relationships. Good sex scenes, romance and fighting action. 4/5 stars because of editing distractions.
Man who but Mel Dau would come up with the carebear smile. Lord I was dying laughing. This was an awesome story and I'm glad Claire got her happy ever after.
This book was an OUTSTANDING read. This is the first book I have read from this author, absolutely excited about it. I will be reading it again. Great job Mel Dau.
