I’m an assassin who’s finally met my match. If only he wasn’t such a jerk. All I want is to be part of the elite taskforce that will defeat our enemy once and for all. The problem? Daryx is the one overseeing the training for the mission. Some days I’m not sure if I want to stab or kiss him, especially when the silver fox tells me how much he believes in me. That does something to a girl’s ego.Now we’re fighting to bring down our enemy, but my feelings are getting in the way. Can I do my job if it means sacrificing him? Or will we both perish because my heart chooses him over logic? The final battle for the fate of the Academy.. 4.5 stars!
I've binged the last three books of this series over the past two days, and it's been a fun and steamy journey. This book was a bit different from the others as it was more of a slow burn on the romance and more focused on the plot and Elena's determination to save Earth. I loved that Elena was as much of a badass as the Lokarian males around her and proved her skills repeatedly. The ending served as bittersweet goodbye to all of the characters we've met and fallen in love with throughout the series, and I'm looking forward to reading more from these authors ♡
I Give this books 4-4.5/5 Star Rating, Listing as 4. HEA(?): Yes Relationship Type: MF Drama: 4-4.5ish/5 Suspense: 3.5-4/5 Heat: 3.5/5 Romance: 3.5-4/5 Pacing: Mid-Mid Fast, but it’s good. Dark(?): No :) Going to keep this review simple & with No Spoilers. Really enjoyed Elena & Daryx! Definitely a really great palate cleanser, it can be read as a stand-alone in this series, you won’t miss out on anything. There is some really good well placed humor as well.
For a short novella as part of a series, probably 4 stars. For an actual book / story 3 - 3.5 stars.
This was the last book in the alien warriors academy series. You will be unimpressed if you choose to read just this book and not the rest. (This book requires the background established in the previous books) In this installment, we have Elana (the assassin) embark on a dangerous mission with the head master of the academy. They've both experienced loss and this book is them getting past their fears of losing again and taking a chance on each other.
Although this book was enjoyable, I felt like it lacked the plot we had in the other books. While there technically was a plot, it was VERY simple and not really fleshed out.
Whelp, this book is proof to me that you shouldn't believe ALL the reviews you read. Books hit different for different people. I really liked Elena the badass, and I don't feel like her character's motivations were ever bratty and childish or not in accordance to previous books.
In fact, the only thing that bothered me was that in the previous book there was a casualty, but when this book's events inquired if there were any, the characters said no. So existing plot holes (from the fact that separate people wrote each book in the series) aside--this was an entertaining and very short read.
Got it bad, got it bad, got it bad… I’m hot for teacher. Yep, this series is fire so far. 🔥 Also, I didn’t realize this series was a collaboration until the second book, oops.
Set in a futuristic time where we know aliens exist, a bunch of humans with special skills are sent to a planet called Lokar, where they attend the Lokarian Warrior Academy. There is one goal in mind at this academy, to teach earthlings how to fight against the common enemy known as the Skrum. The Skrum are “an insect-like race of aliens that attacks like a swarm—decimating their enemies with their mass of ships and hive-like movements—they are a scourge upon the galaxy. A scourge Earth was not aware of until they set their sights on the planet and the Lokarians stepped in to save it.” This alien warrior academy series follows the humans and Lokarians as they train together for a higher purpose.
Written in first person by Kyra Snow, Ruthless is book 4 and final in this series, and follows the human female Elena Blakesley and her Lokarian lover Headmaster Daryx. Daryx is the headmaster of the school, deriving from the Droq clan. Members of the Droq clan are fighters, known to settle a dispute with a fight to the death, and thus, their worth is measured only in strength. Fortunately, Daryx’s mother was Kurvak, which is who he inherited his intelligence from, which allowed him to master the war of politics for his job. Elena was an independent contractor for the United States Government. She was hired to kill people, mostly members of the Japanese Mafia, the Yakuza, when she was stationed in south-east Asia. Long story short, she was a badass. But she wanted to leave her killing life behind and fight for the greater good of her species. After saving Daryx’s life, he gave Elena a spot as a sniper on his task force, which was established specifically for attacking the hive and killing the Skrum queen. During training on this task force, the two became closer, and eventually gave in to their sexual attraction for one another. There is a sweet little twist at the end that I half way saw coming. Loved it. 🫶🏻
Their first intercourse took place in chapter 9 at the 55% mark. And holy hellfire, was I there for that moment. The headmaster was dominant and possessive and everything I fucking love about alpha males who know what they want and take it. Yes, sir. The buildup to that point was balanced perfectly. I will say, with a bit of disappointment, we were only privy to a single love-making session. As someone who throws herself into romance novels specifically for the raunchy word porn, I was left unfulfilled. Daryx did display signs of jealousy, especially after Neko kissed her. I know that is supposed to be a major turn off, but it’s the opposite for me. I’m all about the growly, possessive dominant male who screams “mine!”
Thankfully this collaboration was between some of my favorite authors and I enjoyed all 4 books. A little disappointed that the series was so short. Definitely recommend the read. 🥳

I enjoyed Daryx and Elena’s alien-human romantic suspense tale. The story is emotion filled, passionate, and suspenseful. Vokarians protected Earth from a potential attack by the Skrum who wanted to mine Earth and its water resources. After the Skrum is beaten back, a select group of humans with a diverse set of talents and skills are sent to be trained on Vokar at the Lokarian Warrior Academy to help protect and defend Earth. This story picks up where the last book left off, the Academy has repelled a Skrum attack and are gearing up to infiltrate a Skrum hive. Elena is a human assassin which is why she was recruited to be trained at the Academy. Daryx is the Vokarian Head Master at the Academy. After Elena saves Daryx’s life (book 3) she is given a spot on the elite task force as a sniper. Daryx and Elena are intensely attracted to each other and trying to ignore the feelings. But feelings rarely stay in the boxes we try to shove them in. Add in proximity, high danger, and potential death and the results are combustible. The journey to their HEA is fraught with tension, missteps, danger, sabotage, and healing. The story was well written and included witty dialogue, three dimensional characters, good world building, and an engaging storyline as told through sweet moments, steam, dangerous situations, alien physiology and cultures, political machinations, fated mates, coincidences, painful pasts, missteps, and laughs. This was a good wrap up to the series.
Yes commander....... ugh. nope. in a joking way yes but definitely not serious unless the "commander" is a total douche nozzle. Other than that little roll your eye moment. It was a good book and capped off a cool series. I hope other authors pick up on this idea. I thought it was really inventive.
Elena still ended up as my fav character of the whole series. Who doesn't love a total boss bitch. This book in particular of the 4 felt a little more rushed. I know they are shorter stories but there were things just kind of thrown in that maybe didnt need to be there so other things could have been expanded on. Like the pod class. Why? like why? there was no real mention of it on the way to the hive. nothing dramatic came of it so why was there so much drama surrounding her getting on a pod. The connection to the rape just felt super flimsy..... idk. The dude that raped me drove a hover bike so now I cant get on "the death trap". Maybe its hard to climb on a dic but a pod doesn't work for me. Had me squinting my eyes like, really? anyone else on that? its cool if not. The scenes in the hive were pretty cool but why are we getting naked in a storage room when everyone was just attacked and you are in tunnels leading to a MFing hive. felt weird and not something the characters would do in that moment either.
The fourth book in this multi author series, has the Lokarian a academy headmaster Daryx, and human cadet (and former assassin) Elena working together. Daryx knows Elena’s skills would make her a valuable addition to the team that’s going to infiltrate the Skrum hive, but his attraction for her is a distraction he feels he can ill afford. Elena has had a tough past, but she’s both determined to help get rid of the Skrum threat, and to live in the moment, because she doesn’t know if she even has a future!
This, like the other books in the series, is an academy/sci-fi romance mash up. Quick, enjoyable reads, you’ll find yourself wondering what else will happen in this world. Our main characters are both emotionally wounded, having suffered in their pasts. Their romance is more a case of them both learning to live for something again. Cameo appearances from the other stars of the series occur throughout, and the story arc is completed with this book (although the role could certainly host a few more stories!)
Recommended for those who enjoy sci-fi romance and alien lovers!
This story dives into the mysterious characters of the series. Elena, the human who is a specialist in something, and we're pretty sure we know what, but here we finally find out if we're right, what side of the law she honed her skills on, and how far she's willing to go to protect Earth, and the ones the cares about.
Daryx is the Alien Academy headmaster, and we finally find out what put so much starch in his shorts and ice in his glares.
This story takes on the overarching plot nicely, though now that the information has been gathered this story has a different feel. This isn't A whodunit, but a how-we-gonna fight back, plotting, training, and diving into the hazards of the war we've been training for.
This is a done in one Kindle unlimited quick read, and while it does stand alone, I feel my reading benefited from having read the entire series.
I loved the bonds of friendship, and sense of community at the Academy... great fun.
This book was a great ending to this multi-author world where the adventures at the academy has been wrapped up nicely. It’s always possible for spin offs with this series if the authors choose to do so. Just like all the other books, this one seamlessly picked up where the last one left off, just shifting the focus to different main characters. The overall story arc and plot of the Hive and the various traitors were all interconnected and we finally have a conclusion to that plot thanks to Elena and her Headmaster.
I would highly recommend reading this series in order so the overall plot isn’t confusing since it’s all connected and follows a timeline. Great job to all the authors for coming together to create this series. It was done much better than some of the other multi-authored series I have read. I don’t remember see any conflicting or contradictory information or events and the books all flowed well together.
The fourth and final book of this series. Each book was written by a different author and they do a great job of telling a story that stretches seamlessly across all four books and wraps up with a solid ending.
The relationship in this book comes together much like the other three books with the main conflict being fraternizing between instructors and students.
Something all four authors did well is create the relationship between the four MFCs in these books. Each female character is distinct. They have a lot of fun together and they support each other well throughout the series.
The FMC in this book is an assassin who is super tough and serious. My favorite line comes while they are helping her figure out the future with the MMC. She is feeling uncertain and they do a great job of talking her through it. "A tear escapes my lashes and slips down my cheek. “Aw, guys. You just made me shed my annual tear,” I say with a chuckle."
What an absolutely fantastic, phenomenal ending to one of the best collaboration series ever written! I loved these books so much! Please write more! I need more! Want more! Desire more! Begging for more! Wowza! This series was stupendous! I can’t say this enough! Start this series! Elena and Daryx deserved their HEA and I’m so happy they got it! Blu was so cute and hilarious. I couldn’t stop laughing! I’m so glad things turned around with Varim. So much more could be written about this series! I truly hope they continue it! There’s still 5 queens left! This book was filled with so many different emotions. Sighs, it hit close to home for me in so many ways. I can relate so much to Daryx and his personal story. I teared up and cried a few times reading this. It was very emotional. I truly enjoyed this ride. 5🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 from me
Ruthless: Alien Warrior Academy Book 4 By Kyra Snow Kindle unlimited purchase In book 3 Elena and Autumn steal a computer chip from the vault, Daryx had to make an example of them, so he expelled Autumn at the end of book 3. Book 4 picks up right where book 3 ends. Daryx is the Headmaster of the Academy and because of that he has to make the hard decisions. He didn't what to expel Autumn, now he has to discipline Elena. But he is rudely interrupted before he has a chance. Great ending (?) to a great series. I wsh Carter would get his own book.! Book 1- ROGUE by Tana Stone Book 2- REBEL by Hope Hart Book 3- RECKLESS by Miranda Bridges Book 4- RUTHLESS by Kyra,Snow
I was looking forward for this book and it was a letdown. I liked how Elena was portrayed in precious books, but in her own she was different. She was supposed to be, as she put it herself 'coldblooded killing machine' and she... Wasn't. Obviously we have different views what coldblooded killing machine is like. Sure she finds family/friends in her roommates, so naturally she supposed to 'warm up', but the problem, there was nothing to warm up from to. In general, I don't think, that the story is bad, I just got disappointed that h wasn't 'psychotic' badass, as I assumed from previous books. I guess, it's my issue.
Elena is a headstrong, calculating assassin. Daryx, the stern Headmaster of the Lokarian Warrior Academy, is the tantalizing bane of Elena's existence. Uncertain of his feelings, Daryx finds himself drawn to the the human assassin. Together they set out to dismantle the threat to their planets.
Holy f*ck. The magnetism between these two characters is unreal. Kyra did an amazing job with this fourth installment of the Alien Warrior Academy series. I truly hope that they continue this series. Download it, read it, lose yourself in this world.
Kyra Snow has given us an amazing alien inspired romance that you'll love. It's the forth book in the alien warrior academy series. This book centres around Elena (a human) and Drayx (the alien). The story focuses on both the main characters and the mission they have. There's suspense, angst, laughs and lots of action. I loved the whole romance aspect and how well the characters suited each other. I finished this book so quickly and now I want more haha. It was a pleasure to read and so far my favourite alien story written ever!
In the finale to the Alien Warrior Academy series, Ruthless is a great ending to this multi-author, multi-couple romance. Elena's past only benefits her when she is chosen to participate in the mission to destroy the Skrum queen. But will her desire for Daryx, the Academy's headmaster, leave her heart in shambles? Will his focussed attention on her lead to planetary disaster? In a world where the myriad academic adventures have played havok, will the Hive defeat be enough to ensure a future happiness?
Another good installment. Elena, the hardened, trained assassin ends up with Daryx. There's denial and pushing away between them as they have their own demons. They band together to face the enemy.
I'd pace yourself between the series as the whole series just ends up pairing up the circle of guys with the circle of girls. A common ploy with authors as you'll get returning couples in future books and more character growth than stand alones... however, it would be nice that you can't see who is going to get paired up with whom...
Excellent series. I happily say that this fourth book continued to impress me. The Academy world created was engaging and very different from other alien worlds that humans have found themselves fighting to find their place in. Physically strong males finding themselves challenged to accept human females who are even stronger psychically and emotionally. Together the males and females combine their strengths to become an unbeatable foe to the evil Skrum giving both alien worlds and Earth a better chance at survival.
I really liked Elena. She was a bad ass and I liked she didn't take the men's harassment. I wanted her to get with Neko. I enjoyed their banter and how he brought out her playful side. Daryx was a sourpuss.. I thought it was morbid he had the holodeck show him his family's massacre over and over. Weird... Also, it was reckless to do the fight simulations with the safety feature off so he could throw a temper tantrum.. And why was Elena calling him sir or commander right b4 she screws him?
Still want Carter's book :(

In this Last book of the series we got the story of Elena and Drayx. Elena is a bad ass military woman with a dark past and Draxy is the Headmaster of the alien school she attends.
I loved their story once again. I liked the action it and I liked that it had some happy ending even thought I would have liked an even happy ending regarding the “scram”.
Overall this was a great last book and in the end I can honestly say I enjoyed reading all four books. These are quick, light and fun reads, that I might even reread when I am in the mood.
I read this book as an ARC member This is the final installment of the Alien Warrior Academy Series. The two main characters are Elena who is an assassin and Daryx the headmaster of the Academy. Everything finally comes together and the Skrum finally get their arses obliterated. Some unexpected twists and turns, and memories put to rest. I loved this whole series and am sad to see it end. My heart was racing there for awhile . Beautifully written Kyra 😄

This book was sooo good. Super glad to get Elena and Daryx. It begins with Daryx confronting Elena in his office about her involvement in stealing the chip. And the heat🔥just gets hotter. She gets placed on the task force to kill the swarm queen because she is super amazing and of course has to prove herself to the all male crew. Loved both of these strong yet vulnerable characters. Loved the action and drama, and of course the steam!!
Elena is a kick a**, take no crap woman that you can’t help to love.I found myself rooting for her and seeing myself as her while reading. She doesn’t let her past make her into a victim, but a survivor.
Daryx is a complete alpha! He and Elena’s scenes are absolute 🔥🔥🔥!
Daryx and Elena are the ultimate power couple.I need more alien love stories from these authors!
OMW another awesome read. I loved this book. The storyline was captivating, exciting, intriguing and all round entertaining. The story moved at a good pace and was a smooth read. Loved Daryx and Elena. They were probably the most alike out of all the couples, albeit the saddest. The chemistry between them was on fire and it was plain to see. I loved a lot of the secondary characters in this series and some not so much. I’m sad that there are no other books to read, but hell what a great series.
**spoilers** The romance just didn’t feel like legit love. Or even obsession. Some lust and possessiveness, yes. But enough to break all the rules? Not really. They barely knew each other or spent any time together beforehand. The heroine was meant to be a badass but then she choked when it got real, both in action and in their relationship. I was disappointed in her.
Loved this Series and Hope We Get More Academy Books
Daryx and Elena are arguably the most damaged of the four couples featured in this series and they help each other heal. The Skrum are on the run but were not defeated, so hopefully these amazing authors will graceus with more stories. Love these hot alpha aliens.
...everything! Elena and Daryx the 2 most stoic of the group and yet the 2 that accept their feelings fastest. Oh this doesn't mean they get to their happily ever after any faster. But the journey is so sweet and the ending was awesome. I kind of wish there was an extended epilogue so we can see how they're all doing.
Its the first book from Kyra Snow that I have read. I was in love with her other books under a different pen name but she even made me like sci fi which is not usually my cup of tea, but this one is amazing, it is action packed, full of emotions and a happy ending.
