So, forgive me, for not giving you much more then this! I will say that I need the next installment pronto

This is the third installment in the The Dark series. It picked up exactly where the second book ended and ended with a cliffhanger. Like the other books this one alternated points of view between the four main characters, which I thought kept things interesting.
As I guess one would suspect, you'll end up meeting a lot of bad folks running around New York in an apocalypse, and you'll never know what you'll encounter in the pitch black subways. Read the series to find out.
This episode was OK, but I'm just not invested enough in the characters or plot to continue with the six-book series. Maybe sometime down the road but not now, anyway.

Thank you Emma H. Frost for the ARC of your book, "Escape the Dark", the 3rd book in the Dark Series. You did it again, a fabulous continuation about the Post-Apocalyptic EMP thriller!
Do the main characters escape the darkness unharmed, will they ever see the light again? These are only some of the questions you will be asking yourself!
This story just keeps getting better with each new book! The main characters are so true to life and believable. The stories are written from each characters point of view which makes it even more interesting.
In my opinion, all three books in the series could have been one long book...

I dropped this volume to a 3 because the book had multiple errors and because it is much weaker story telling than the previous ones.
To be clear: this is a serialized novel and not a series. The books are each under 100 pages each.
So far, I have been willing to pay .99 per book. But now, I see volume 4, with a whopping 60 pages has been inflated to 2.99. I will not pay that. Not for this. The story has been modestly interesting but not enough to pay that much for so little. There are six volumes and now I see the entire series for a price. Do not need multiple electronic copies either.
Very disappointed to be duped.

I actually enjoyed book 3 most so far. It picked up right where the second left off. Unlike the transition between book 1 & 2, escape the dark didn’t leave me wondering how they got to where they were. Throughout the entire story there was a lot of suspense and intensity that kept me reading and not wanting to stop. As per usual there is a cliff hanger ending and I’m hoping that book 4 continues in the way book 3 did. I still would prefer a longer story verses the episode like ones these are but all in all I have enjoyed the dark series so far.

I will start off my saying that I received this book as an ARC. This story just keeps getting better and better. It is suspenseful without being too drawn out. I love how the author is writing this story from each characters point of view. It really helps you get in to the story and how each person is feeling. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series. My only complaint is I wish it was one long book because it would definitely be a book I couldn’t put down until it was finished!

I received an ARC of this book for my honest opinion. I have to say I definitely liked this one more than the last one. Don't get me wrong Survive the dark was very good but this one had me more on the edge. I was glad the story is finally developing a bit more. You can see the characters growing more and how the whole situation is truly affecting them.
It is still a nice light reading. Is a must.

The story just keeps getting better!
Reality is getting scary. The kids are starting to see the darker side of humanity as divisions in survivors bring violence, and the fight for power and control over the remaining resources is thrust at the forefront of everyones mind. The trio has met Nick, and merge with him when they realize he isn't a threat because he's actually still clinging onto his humanity.
Once again, I'm ready to dive into the next book!

Emma does it again. Shorter read, but so worth it. Our characters are still working to survive. What horrors will they face? Will they all make it to Orange Lake? Will Nick meet up with the teens soon? You better read and find out the answers. Scary times bring out the best and worst in people. Read Escape the Dark today!

In the third installment, things are getting even scarier and creepier! Who is the new friend they discover? The help provided by the new friend, is it to help them, or is there another sinister reason behind the acts? I cannot wait for the next installment! I received this as an ARC and am leaving a voluntary review.

Yet another great book in the series.
I think what I like best is how Emma Frost tells the story of each individual. It is not simply telling a story of a group of people, but telling the story of each individual a d their own personal view. It has helped me to fall in love with each character in a unique way.

A good read.
I'm not picky and I love to read stories that pretty much stay with one or two sets of characters. I don't like to jump around and lose contact with the storyline. These kids have had me following them for a while now, and I want to see them succeed in their disastrous world

I like that Emma is not afraid to shy away from getting her protagonists into real trouble--not everything is just a jump scare all of the time. There are characters you will really come to care about, too. Check it out!

This book is fantastic! It grabbed my attention on the very first page. Full of action, suspense, drama. I couldn’t put the book down! The action and the suspense are never ending. I love a book that makes me want to read on to the end, and this is that book. Strongly recommend!

Tedious, boring and not worth the time. I read through 4 of the books, and just don't care what happens.
It's very, very slow paced and boring. I've read much worse, but this story is so tedious, and each book is more of a chapter than a novel.

Another great read!
Wow! It just keeps getting better! I love the direction the story is going! The book is a great length and goes at the perfect pace. Perfect for enjoying with my morning cup of coffee. 😊 If you haven’t read this series yet, grab book 1 and get started! You won’t be disappointed! I am eagerly awaiting the next book!

Escape the Dark by Emma H Frost takes you further into the post-apocalyptic EMP survival thriller in this Book 3 story.
In summary thus far, three teens were in a school field trip to a museum when everything shook like an earthquake and all the power went out. They all cautiously looked for the rest of their class, but didn’t find anyone alive. They moved outside to see that all cars were at a complete stop and they were met with dealing silence.
The three teens ransacked as many necessities like food and water and a stove in a duffel bag to be carried with them. They decided they would take turns carrying it. Knowing the gunmen might be close, they decide to leave the condo they found safe for the last few days.
As they were leaving, the gunman came into the hallway and started chasing them. The trio ran for it. They ran and ran through buildings and parking lots and parks, all over the city. Just as they thought they were safe, they were inside the absolute darkness of subway tunnel. But when they found a subway car with its doors open, they rested inside, only to find the gunman entering the same car! What will happen to the teens? Why are they being chased?
This book, like the rest of the series, is full of action and brings me so much anxiety! It’s a sit at the edge of your seat type of thriller! These kids are just trying to get home for goodness sake!
