When your gut tells you to run, but your heart demands you stay, which one will you listen to?

I’ll do anything to keep my non-profit business open. Even partner up with my rival— automobile mogul Andrew McCellan.

The darling of the charity scene, he’s slick and used to women dropping everything to be with him.

But if he thinks that his cheap ploys will work on me, he’s wrong. I don’t care how good looking he is, I have no intention of falling for the pompous billionaire.

Yet with each passing day, I glimpse more of the real man behind Andrew’s steely mask. He’s thoughtful, kind, and trying to make a difference in the world. I no longer want to resist him, but feel his lips on mine.

But just as I allow my defenses to crumble, Andrew’s dark secrets surface. Mysterious phone calls and texts escalate into my shop catching fire.

I want to believe that Andrew is innocent, but something tells me he’s got something to do with it.

Should I follow my instincts and leave while I still can, or stay by Andrew’s side?

Reckless is an enemies-to-lovers, sizzling romance with a take-no-crap heroine and a handsome, mysterious billionaire tycoon.

2 🤔😔⭐️s

Although I managed to reach to the epilogue, the story couldn’t keep my interest and I couldn’t connect with the characters. Especially with Andrew. 🙄 His character didn’t even warm my heart and was not adequate for Hannah.
The pacing was fast, the romance impetuous, and a lot of things were happening in the short period of the story.

I read the blurb, and after I finished the story, I thought that it had an overpraised writing style. The blurb’s connotation was much more enriched than the story itself which (story) felt flat and rushed.
I didn’t enjoy it.

This is part of the Love and Lies Billionaire Series. This romantic suspense will keep your interest from page one. Hannah and Andrew are long time rivals but she has no other choice but to ask him for a favor. She's desperate to save her non profit and he's the only one who can help her. He's a man of many masks and just when she thinks she's uncovered the arrogant mask unveiling a kind soul things start happening. Calls, threats, fires and more. Her problem is who is behind all this? Is it Andrew or is he being framed. What about the secrets that are being exposed? Are they real or is he being set up. The chemistry between them was being to explode but is this going to extinguish everything? This is a well written book with lots of suspense and unknown. Guaranteed to keep your interest. The characters are well developed and the story is entertaining. I read a free copy of this book via Booksprout and the author and I voluntarily chose to review it.

I really enjoyed this book and love these characters.. There is something about Andrew that just pulls me in to love him. He seems to be this really sweet guy who loves his family and seems so sincere. I keep saying to myself "please be a good guy, dont hurt Hannah" but while reading I know he is hiding something. This book had its twist and turns but it held my attention all throughout, I could not put it down.

Hannah is the CO of a non profit organization called "Helping Hands" and Andrew just took over his family's business "McCellan Motors" , both meeting for the first time at a convention. Hannah is instantly attracted to Andrew, not to sure what it is about him that is pulling her in. He gives her the strength and confidence she lacked in the beginning of her night , now able to chat and meet new investors. But at the end of the night they go their separate
ways.
Andrew wants to combine both his organization with Hannah's, both being able to help eachother out but Hannah doesnt know if she could trust him. At first introduction he wasnt honest with her, he didnt tell her that he is also the CEO of "From Us to You doing here” , her competitor. With him coming around a lot she doesnt know if he is interested in her or if he has a side plan and wants to ruin her organization.
Hannah is scared of her feelings and longing for Andrew, doesnt want to complicate what they are working towards... dont mix business with pleasure. Hannah has been hurt and runs away from relationships and feelings, its hard to trust others and not second guess. She just needs to decide if Andrew is worth it, should she take the chance on him being her happy place and her future?

Hanna Sampson is CEO of a non-profit business, Helping Hands. She goes to a networking event and meets Andrew McCellen, CEO of McCellen Motors. In order to keep doing her work she needs money and even though they are business rivals in non-profit she makes a deal with Andrew. Sparks fly right off the bat and she begins to fall for him. But all is not what it seems to be. Is she being reckless? Is he really dangerous and not who he appears to be? Will she run or give him a chance to prove otherwise?

This is a new author for me and one I will read again.
I received an ARC of this book for my honest review.

True to Form

A traditional romance, Reckless brings some surprising elements to the genre. Elizabeth Grey's writing voice has a different flavor than many I've read. I made significant highlights on some reflective comments the characters made. Her plot stages alternate conflicts that bring a distinctive depth to the storyline. However, the editing does need major improvement.

I didn't report errors through the Kindle app as I normally do. I was enjoying the story too much to stop and make corrections. It was easy to overlook the errors in favor of the story. It would have been a 5-star rating if there hadn't been any mistakes.

Hannah is working hard to support those she doesn’t know but struggling to keep it a float. Andrew is a rich CEO who suggests a partnership which to Hannah seems to good to be true. They have great chemistry but secrets keep them apart. The twists and turns throughout keep you glued to every word in both their professional and personal life. A great book

Hannah and Andrew are looking for a connection - Hannah finds fulfillment helping the homeless. Andrew gives the appearance of being a philanthropist but he’s keeping secrets. Their journey through their developing relationship is by turns enticing and exciting and at others bewildering and painful. But after some major events, Hannah and Andrew find their way to each other. A good read!

Nice quick read.

I enjoyed Hannah’s strength and perseverance. She worked 2 jobs and running her own non-profit company, all so she could help as many people as she could. Im not sure how I feel about Andrew. I’m not sure if I like him. I did like how much Andrew loved his grandma. I wish we got to read a bit more about her. I’m glad the final restaurant scene happened as it helped redeem Andrew for me.

This was a good story. This was a romance with a little bit of mystery thriller thrown in there along the way. Hannah having to overcome her trust issues and realize that it is okay to open up an trust another person. You get all the emotions through the story but it will end with a HEA. I recommend this one.

This was my first book from Elizabeth Grey, it was ok. Maybe I wasn’t in the mood for this kind of book. I don’t normally give 2 stars, but I keep skipping pages to get it finished.
