Yang Anyu, he is the general’s personal bodyguard. In the end, his soul transmigrated into a second-generation young master from the modern world, and after that, he once again encountered his “General” Yi Chenyan.
The great general he especially respected and revered, actually became an actor? (And is in fact, the popular Film Emperor)
What made Yang Anyu more shocked——he was already “married” to Yi Chenyan.
Several years later——
Fan A: Our Little Yu’s face-quality is high, acting ability is good, can sing and dance, when filming action scenes he is even more handsome, handsome to the point of collapse! Completely is a capitalized Su word!
Fan B: If I cannot sleep with Yang Anyu in this life is there still any meaning to it?
Fan C: But I heard he’s already married, his wife must have saved the whole world in her last life ah!
Yi Chenyan: ……
Big Film Emperor Yi looked at a certain Yang Someone under his body, recently he’s been becoming more and more possessive towards him, what to do?
A novel written by the same author as "Rooster x Rooster", one of my fave cursed danmei novels. I didn't have much expectations at first. I mean, aside from the fact that she wrote a cursed danmei story, which was good for the laughs to be honest. She gave the novel a very peculiar title. Couldn't really blame me for it.
The novel was surprisingly a very entertaining read. A slow-burn romance with just the right amount of character development, the novel was sweet, fluffy and heartwarming. Rarely do transmigration novels have an explanation behind the transmigration, but the author, Sweet Plum Tea, was able to do so for this particular novel. Initially, I thought it was just a flashback. Didn't expect it to actually be the whole overview of the transmigration.
For those looking for some hot smut actions, well, you might also want to consider reading this novel. The nsfw scenes caught me by surprise and holy-macaroni was it amazing. It was so lit, it got me experiencing secondhand syndrome as I read the mature scenes.
I believe some readers might find the plot weird but, in my opinion, everything seems to make sense despite its peculiarities. Just when the plot was getting dull, the author inserted a sudden plot insert/twist in perfect timing. The extras were just right as well. Honestly, I have nothing negative to say.
I took a peek at the reviews and ratings left and a lot rated it lower than it deserved. As for the reason why, it was most probably because the English translation provided was an MTL. It was so hard to read and understand that I opted reading the raw instead; and I'm glad I did. If you could read Chinese, I suggest reading the novel raw to be able to truly enjoy the novel as it deserves.
Rated this novel 5-stars because I would be more than willing to reread the said novel several times in the future. It was that good for me. A comfort read like no other.
I like how the author also include a good subtle-butnotso-much story about side characters. It really refreshing to read about the real fun and interesting stories about those celebrities.
Also the background story for our main couple, it good. Def help to futher deepening the emotional attachment between them.
4.5 star ⭐️ for overall plot, characters etc etc. 5 ⭐️ for the smexy smutty scene 😉
Boazinha.
Sweet, fast read. Shorter than many online Chinese novels, only around 70 chapters. Translation quality is very good.
The MC is a sweet and optimistic character, but is no pushover due to his past as a General's bodyguard. A nice change from other online c-novels, where MCs either tend to be sweet and very naive, or cynical and badass.
The ML was pretty good, though it may take a while to get to like him due to the circumstances MC transmigrates into (MC and ML are married, but ML doesn't care about MC at all and rarely ever sees him). There are reasons for that, but it won't be revealed until the end of the novel.
Losing a star or two due to some danmei tropes I really hate: sex has to be super harsh marathon sex that leaves MC unable to move for a day afterwards; no lube; MC wants to switch positions in bed / have a turn at topping but ML constantly 'tricks' him into this not happening rather than compromising or having an honest discussion about it. A bit disappointing for a novel that was otherwise very good about having MC and ML openly discuss any issues in the relationship.
I generally liked this story and thought it was quite fun. The translators did a great job. The downside was how rambly the story was considering its short length. There's a lot of unnecessary details (why is there a random past life? It doesn't really play into the main story much. Why the fake bad guys?). The final reveal was fun and baffling at the same time.
That said, I thought the characters were likable enough. Everyone gets paired up (so long as they're male), almost to a ridiculous level. Are there really that many gay people? I love a good bl relationship, but seriously, how do people reproduce in this novel?
The rambly nature of the novel, combined with how short it is, meant I never got super invested. It took me a surprisingly long time to finish, and I never had a driving need to continue reading like I do with other books.
Overall, this was a fun waste of time - not the best, but not the worst either.
Don’t know what exactly to say, because it’s quite unique in my reading list.
I really like the main couple and how they interact. Also, the MC is not so dense, so that a big pros. MC is not s*upid and his character is likable.
I also like that there is an explanation for Da Yu and we even got to know his ending. I’m really glad author added this.
The ML character come to be not what I saw at the beginning. We understood him more at the story goes and also what and why he is doing. He is not perfect, but also a very likable character for me. Maybe even this “not perfect” is one of his best parts. He is more real.
There is not much drama here. The story is quite heartwarming, and about our MC building his career. Not overwhelming with fluff.
In short, it’s enjoyable read. I like it and recommend you to try.
I wanted to read something light and easily digestible, basically the equivalent of watching a show on Netflix just to get my mind off things and this novel definitely delivered in that aspect. Initially I thought it was just another typical transmigration novel but as the story progressed, the layers of this novel are peeled back one by one.
Usually, transmigration novels involve a MC who is in love with the ML in the previous life but Yang Anyu (MC) was Yi Chenyan's (ML) bodyguard in the previous life and he never harboured any romantic feelings for him. It was only when he died at war and his soul was transported to the modern era that he found out that he was married to YCY in this life. It's not quite a slow burn, more like a medium burn, because although they were married, YCY was cold towards YAY due to past circumstances and the new YAY simply wanted to be friends with YCY.
I like the development of their relationship and how YAY slowly melted YCY's cold heart just by being himself. YAY is generally a bright and optimistic character who is easy to love, so it's no surprise that with his changed personality, everyone around him grew to care for and adore him. Oh, and this story is also different in that YCY actually knew that YAY was a different person from before the accident because YCY had dreams of his past life with YAY. It made their relationship a lot sweeter because both of them were finally reunited.
And! We actually got to see what happened with the original YAY from the modern era, which normally doesn't happen in these novels. I don't know how but the original YAY (Da Yu) went back in time and transmigrated into Xiao Yu's body, who I thought died..? I think it was a parallel universe or something because instead of falling in love with General YCY, he fell in love instead with the doctor who treated him, Dr Mu. Da Yu also reunited with his mother in the end, who was the legitimate wife of his father this time around.
There was also a part in the novel where it turns out that after Xiao Yu's death, his soul lingered and was transported to the modern era, and as a ghost, Xiao Yu met Da Yu who was alive at the time. And Da Yu could actually see and interact with Xiao Yu, and they eventually became friends. I was a little confused but the author made it made sense in the end, or at least I understood more about Da Yu's past through that particular part. Honestly, it was kind of weird and hilarious but I didn't mind it too much.
Of course, since this story is set in the entertainment industry, there are numerous hidden schemes which helped to move both the story and YAY and YCY's relationship forward. These schemes made me dislike certain characters at first (Tang Xiao) but in the end when everything was revealed, I felt bad because he was being manipulated by someone else behind the scenes.
Not only that, I like the friendships that YAY made with his peers like Qin Nuoxi and how he was able to mend and build a relationship with his older brother Yang Jue. Speaking of side characters, I was so excited when the author included side CPs, by giving YJ and QNX a happy ending, as well as Tang Guo (YAY's bodyguard) and Qi Sen (YAY's manager) a hopeful and ending and a budding relationship 🥺
This novel is definitely character-driven and luckily the author spend the time to develop and flesh out their characters. The main characters were more complex but the side characters held their own as well, and provided more dimension to the story.

This one is alright. A cute and fun collection of movies of the week, the metaplot seems like it's building up towards more dramatic territory as you near the end, but it all gets resolved in a few chapters anyways. Protag is a cute puppy, but him knowing martial arts rarely comes up after the beginning. I appreciate how the author tries to keep the side characters relevant, but at times this comes across as people the protagonist barely met being good friends anyways (hello Gu Xin).
Overall, I'd say that it's a nice read with some really good concepts, but ultimately a bit on the forgettable side when it comes to actual plotting.
pros: interesting concept, pretty nice side characters + their respective extras, mc and love interest were pretty cute, writing style was great, not too plot heavy, the da yu / xiao yu part was pretty nice in my opinion + the da yu extra giving him a happy end was a nice addition
I was here for the face-slapping and it was good. The transmigrated Yang Anyu had proven to everyone that he may not have the knowledge of the modern world but, he can kick a**. As the setting was entertainment, there were lots of dramas surrounding the main couple and by proxy, the side couples. It was a short and light reading and the translator did an awesome job. It's fully translated so go and give it a try.
I wish I could be as optimistic as Anyu. I love the main CP and the side couples. Do be warned that there are many trigger warnings here but other than that it was pure fluff and made me cry in some parts.
It’s been a while since I read this, so my review won’t be the best ☹️
This was very cute and interesting, the friendships and relationships were very cute. I love how some of the characters weren’t just cute, they also had a bit of flaws to them + two faced/dark tendencies (not to the extreme). This novel took a bit of a dark tone during backstories and I remember crying a bit, DY needed love and a lot of therapy. One thing I did dislike is how abrupt the whole villain part was, even the ending a bit (I think? lol). I’m glad DY was able to get his happy ending too. I’m glad all the characters we came to care for had a somewhat happy ending (I don’t remember if they all did, but I’m pretty they did 😭)
