Karlax has survived numerous encounters with dragons, atorats, and orcs, but now he will face off against his deadliest foe yet; the Emissary of the Void, but even that may pale in comparison to the growing threat that is surfacing within his newly formed alliance...
Sam is a very lucky guy. He juggles work in such a way that he makes sure to spend enough time with his loving wife and five sons. He is blessed to be writing full time now. In his spare time he is an avid powerlifter, and competes from time to time.
He spent nearly five years serving as a U.S. Diplomat and absolutely loved the experience, but decided to move back home. Outside of the U.S. he has lived in Latvia, Hungary, and Armenia. He speaks Russian, Hungarian, and Armenian. (He used to speak some Latvian too, but he has no one to practice with anymore…)
He has a large, happy dog. He plays the Elder Scrolls series. His favorite superhero is Wolverine, but Batman is a close second.
If the kids go to bed at a reasonable hour, he will cuddle up with his wife to watch Scrubs reruns, the Big Bang Theory, Castle, and Burn Notice.

Awesome 3rd installment with a final climax that I didn't see coming! Hopefully things will get better in book four cuz they are not looking good at this point! The void is strong and the forces of good have been betrayed by one of their own!
Another great book. I noticed this one had a few more typos but I've found worse edited books by major authors, and the meaning is never obscured so I don't mind.
Alliance, Storm, and probably the upcoming Dominion book (set to release this summer I think) read more like parts of a book than individual ones-- i.e. the way Lord of the Rings is split into Fellowship, Two Towers, and Return of the King. There's nothing wrong with that, and I'd rather have a 3 volume tale of Karlax than something that has to be edited down to fit into one book.
The same strengths as I've noted in earlier reviews. I wasn't a fan of the Cosmic Council angle at first (not a spoiler, it's world information that is on the author's website), but came around; they add more to the tale than is at first obvious, and Ferguson never loses sight of the small interactions between characters to focus only on epic scenes, as some authors tend to do.
WOW!!!! I loved this book and the continuing series of Kendualdern. I'm actually a fan of all Sam Fergusons books and even though it has be a while since I read bk 1 & 2, they came back to mind quickly. Can't wait for the next book in the series and see what happens to Karlax and the other characters!!!!
Good versus Evil. The weakest grow stronger by seeking moral means to create alliances and friends with courage to work together to face and defeat the "dark side". The struggle continues favorably in Epic adventure in Kendualdern.
A fine continuation laying the path for many possibles. While shorter than the two previous books, it manages to provide a lot of action and plot. There are many junctions with Ascension, with great care given to consistency. Such careful building of interactions between parallel plotlines keeps the potential intact for further story building. Karlax sticks to his progressive ideas and manages the start of a kingdom yet his breaking of tradition could bring him trouble, too. On the villains side, this is not monolithic as servants of the Void compete to get the favor of their master. I wonder how much Ferguson draws inspiration from his diplomat experience to create those plots.
Another great book of the Dragons of Kendualdern! Karlax now has two dragon kingdoms as part of his domain but there is an evil force that would destroy everything Karlax has worked for, so he must find a way to stop this evil before it is too late. Karlax will forge new alliances as well being beset by new advisories! Dragons , dark elves, magic, friendship and betrayal will be found in this book. More masterful storytelling by the author. A must read. I highly recommend this book!
Chaos know no bounds, but dragons are steadfast in their defenses against the void. Well maybe not all... read Sam Ferguson’s 3rd installment and see how Kendualdern fairs
