Fright Watch #2

The Collectors

Rate this book
The Ladies in White want you to join their family—forever. . .

After defeating the Oldies, Quinn and Mike thought that things would settle down on Goodie Lane. But then new neighbors move in. Maybe it’s because they all work at the interior design firm, but Abigail, Eleanor, Jade, Brea, and Cami seem to always be together, dressed in only white.

After everything that happened last summer, Quinn’s a bit wary of the Ladies in White, but her friend Lex is thrilled that someone in town finally has some style. But when Lex starts volunteering at the Ladies’ design firm, things get strange. Lex is acting less like herself, and Quinn begins seeing strange shadows lurking in their neighborhood. She knows the Ladies are to blame; she just has to prove it.

Twisty and haunting, The Collectors is the second book in the Fright Watch series, which SLJ called “Perfect for fans of Goosebumps and Stranger Things” and Booklist called “Reminiscent of R. L. Stine’s Fear Street . . . [Fright Watch] can be counted on to deliver chills.”

"By the time I get to track practice after school, my legs are burning to run. I know this team isn’t as important as, you know, saving your best friend’s life from a poltergeist."

Mike and Quinn are back with a spooky tale from beyond the grave.

The Fright Watch series definitely gives off Goosebumps and The Boogens vibes. If you don't know The Boogens then you are seriously missing out. It brings back fond memories of checking in the closet for monsters and trying to figure out if your neighbors eat peoples brains. You know, kid stuff. This series wraps you up in a warm blanket and comforts you before it makes your hair stand on end.

This book was a lot of fun. Mike and Quinn always seem to locate trouble and they both love it. Plus they are really good at solving these spooky mysteries. Scooby-Doo gang party of two! I love this series and can't wait to read the third book. I hope Mike's dreams come true...

I absolutely LOVED the 1st book in this series, but I think I may actually love this one even more! This was sooooo good y’all! It was so good to be back with Quinn & Mike, they are such amazing characters. I feel like the character development was even better in this 1 as well. We got to see whole new sides to them. They are just the cutest together also, & their friendship dynamic is phenomenal.

Can’t say much since this is book 2, but there’s a whole new mystery to solve. It’s alike in some ways, but yet so different from the one from book 1. This had even more layers, to where you even find yourself sometimes feeling sorry for the bad guys. I found the whole backstory of these “villains” so intriguing, as well as the current timeline plot. I read this all in just a couple of sittings. The author does a great job of gripping you right from the start, building the story & dropping clues at the perfect pace & times, & then has you on the edge of your seat for the rest of the story! Lol Such a fast-paced read.

The friendships in here are superb, the creepy paranormal & spooky goodness are amazing, terrific side characters(Grandma Jane has my heart! & how cute are her & Red??!!), suspense, & a lot of heart. Yet another book that handles grief so well, & shows that there is no timeline for when you stop grieving-because it never really ends. It just gets a little bit easier to live with as time goes on. My heart broke for Quinn a few times in here, & I grew even more fond of & attached to her-& to Mike as well.

This was an exciting read full of all the spooky MG awesomeness I love & crave. This is set right before Halloween, so perfect fall-time read!(Or like I always say, anytime of year if you’re like me!) I hope this is a LONG series, because I need more spooky adventures with our Batman & Robin(that ending was EPIC & so great too btw lol!). Book 1 is already out in hardback & paperback, & this 1(book 2) comes out August 31st! HIGHLY recommend! BEAUTIFULLY creepy cover by Gilles Ketting too!💜

Let me preface my review by saying that I’m a HUGE Lorien Lawrence fan. She and I connected on Instagram and she is as incredible a person as she is talented. Fright Watch rules, and I was ecstatic to grab a review copy of The Collectors, my most anticipated 2021 read.

Here we go again. From the opening moments of Lawrence’s follow up to the uber fun “The Stitchers,” we are launched like a rocket right back onto Goodie Lane. Although Ms. Bea and her fellow Stitchers are out of sight, they are far from out of mind. Mike and Quinn are back to their old ways, swooning our hearts and running together every morning rain or shine. But this time around there are new horrors to be found. Just when you thought it was quiet on Goodie Lane, in moves the supremely beautiful Abigail and her pearly white associates who are all shrouded in mystery, ready to give you the stare down as you walk on by.

Just like The Stitchers, book two in the Frightwatch series is just pure and utter fun. Lawrence is a master with these characters and she does a phenomenal job of keeping the Goodie Lane party going all night long. The Collectors does not miss a beat, and is everything you want in book two of this series. Excellent job to my dear friend, Lorien Lawrence. Five huge stars from me! Go read it!

I loved this installment maybe even more than the first!

The Collectors really does a splendid job of tackling the concept of grief in a way that isn’t too heavy for young readers. Both in the personal life of the main character and the supernatural conflict, we see the ways grief can make a person despair. Ultimately, the novel was able to emphasize that grief can be overcome and it is not all consuming.

As with the first, there are plenty of fun, quirky parts to this book especially centering around the character dynamics. We get to see much more of Grandma Jane, the emotional side of Mike, and Quinn’s other friends. This helps to flesh out Quinn’s world and Goodie Lane.

I recommend the Fright Watch series for anyone who likes middle grade horror reminiscent of Goosebumps, but a bit more mature. It’s absolutely wonderful.

I always love middle-grade novels having a touch of horror/supernatural, and. I loved the first book, “The Stitchers (Fright Watch #1)” and was excited to read this book. “The Collectors” turned out to be equally entertaining, and in some ways, I enjoyed it better than the first book.

Firstly, I felt the author wrote the characters more complex compared to the first book. We see Mike having nightmares about the Oldies that he is not able to avoid. Even Quinn has emotional moments when she sees her father’s ghosts. I loved how the author rooted the main characters in the story compared to the first novel. There are also lovely family moments as Quinn bonds with Grandma Jane. I adored Grandma Jane and how prominent she was in the tale. I wish we see more of her in the future books.

Secondly, the plot is also exciting and different from what happened earlier. While the first book was campy and fun and dwelled purely on the supernatural, the author made the villains also complex in the story. There were times when I found myself feeling sorry for the Ladies in White (irrespective of how creepy they seem). The backstory was entertaining, and I liked the way Mike and Quinn researched to find out what was happening. As the story progresses, you wonder how Lex will get out of the trouble she unknowingly gets involved in.

Overall, “The Collectors” is wholly entertaining and an excellent addition to the “Fright Watch” series. I hope the author writes many more books in the series, as I would love to more adventures with Quinn and Mike (and Grandma Jane.

What? Another YA horror thriller that I really enjoyed by the author of 'The Stitchers'! Let's go back to the 'pond'! Ready?

Though this was written by the same author and it continues the story of the same kids from 'The Stitchers' I did not enjoy this one as much. Where the first one had 'the Oldies' in the group of the seniors that just 'NEVER grew old...' this one has a complete set of 'The ladies in white!' and when you find out who they are.....and what their secrets are, it just did not have the horror thrilling ending that the first one did, but i still would recommend this to anyone who does not like their horror extremely scary or gory. Great for any kids who like scary stories. There is no bad language or really bad and disturbing violence here either. Cannot wait to go back to this small town to see what is up next!

A great sequal to the original

Once again we follow Quinn and Mike on their quest to solve another mystery. After the Oldies left the neighborhood all seemed ok at first but the new neighbours are bunch of over friendly ladies who are upto no good. Where did they come from? What are they after? Can Quinn and Mike face another ghostly encounter after the ordeal with the Oldies?

This books really shines in the character development. Both Quinn and Mike are amazing leads and their banter is fun to read. Side characters and the Ladies in white are also given enough time for us to connect with them.

But sadly the actual mystery itself was not very gripping. The main complaint I have is that Quinn and Mike only do few Google searches and find out exactly what they need to know. I'd have loved if there were some blank spots, something that the characters couldn't figure out so quickly, a few misleads.

Another minor complaint is that, although I enjoyed reading Quinn and Mike's banter, I'd have loved if they'd become an official couple at the end. I know they technically are but still I needed the conformation. In this books they showed so much vulnerability to each other.

Anyway, another enjoyable book from the author and I can't wait to read more.

Something Wicked This Way Comes...

After defeating The Oldies, a new force has made its way onto Goodie Lane. Some new neighbors have arrived and they're about to open an interior design business on their street. Quinn reluctantly attends their open house but notices something isn't quite right with her new neighbors. They are very pale and Quinn is pretty sure a little translucent, not to mention a cup slipped through the hand of one of the women. Could her new neighbors be ghosts? It wouldn't be the first time she's had to deal with supernatural forces after all.

The Goosebumps books got me into reading. It's a pretty well known fact for those that know me. The Fright Watch series is one I would have devoured as a middle grade reader. As an adult it's giving me a sense of nostalgia. The Collectors is low on the scare scale but does talk a bit about grief. Quinn's father has been dead a little over a year and she's still dealing with his passing. The fact her new neighbors may be ghosts brings up some unsettled feelings she has about her father and longing to see him one more time. I'm not sure if Lorien Lawrence will write more in this series but I've really enjoyed it so far.

Thank you to Netgalley and Amulet Books for a copy in exchange for my honest review. The Collectors is available August 31, 2021. The first book in the series, The Stitchers, is available now.

4.5, rounding up to 5 because this is absolutely a 5 star middle grade read. A few minor changes and things expanded on would have made this a full out perfect read for me.

I'm usually not much into haunting or ghost stories, but this one was so well executed as it accurately focused on the grief and trauma associated with death and ghosts, be they actual spirits or our own personal ones.

Great character work here, I feel all these kids are real, and their friend dynamics and worries for the future accurately represent scary and uncertain things that they will face going forward as they get older.

And while I loved The Stitchers for its portrayal of grief, The Collectors truly went above and beyond in that regard - this is probably the most beautiful, devastating, yet heartwarming look into these emotions I've ever read, and I'm so glad children and younger readers have access to this if they need it. I personally broke down for about an hour after one scene, certainly a very cathartic read to anyone who has suffered similar loss.

Such a good book, so glad I discovered Fright Watch. MAGGIE YOU ARE BATMAN AND I AM ROBIN.

I really hope there’s a third book to this series and see what new creative villains the author creates. The first book I feel had much more unique villains and a witch in a pond who was connected. The second book though I feel had the Quinn and Mike were more closer with each and be able to handle a situation. Also Quinn learned a lesson in what it means to be a leader and listening to Mike telling her to cheer on her teammates. It’s great example to show for children. The vengeful ghost who murders girls to keep as daughters was woah. While still searching for where her real ones were buried. My favorite part was their bet which was way better then last time. Picturing Mike running in a Robin Costume during a track meet was priceless.

It was so fun to be back on Goodie Lane with my favorite middle school paranormal detectives! After their spooky experience with the Oldies in book one, Quinn thinks she’s in for a normal school year—until she meets her new neighbors, the Ladies in White. They seem anything but normal. When her friend Lex falls under enchanting neighbor Abigail’s spell, Quinn and Mike team up again to find out who the Ladies are and what they want. Both delightfully creepy and heartfelt, as Quinn deals with the grief over losing her father, The Collectors is a fantastic follow-up to The Stitchers!

Following Quinn and Mike’s defeat of the Oldies last year things have settled down in Goodie Lane. That is until an interior design team of 5 women who all wear white move in over the road. Something is off about them but Quinn’s friend Lex is thrilled when they ask her to intern with them but it might just be the death of her!

A middle grade supernatural horror that pits our heroes against a ghostly threat with a tragic back story. Familiar characters if you have read the first book but easily picked up. Another great story of friendship, found family and redemption.

You thought defeating the Oldies was enough? Meet the Ladies in White!

I have had this book for some time, but in February I decided to just step over that invisible barrier and read it, and I am glad I did. While I had some frustrations (mostly Mike) I had fun reading it and I flew through it.

In this one the neighbourhood is seemingly fine again… but then new people move to the neighbourhood. The houses get filled again. This time by several ladies which they aptly name Ladies in White. Who have a design/interior office. I instantly had OHHH, SNAP here we go again from the start. I mean, Abigail? I just got all the red flags vibes from her! I was excited to see what Abigail was. Was she really something out of this world? Who were the other girls? Why did they range from age? Why did they all dress in white? And why? Also, did that glass really go through one of the ladies her hands? Oh my! And I loved reading the story as things got more spooky, and also more personal. Because Quinn’s best friend Lex is now working at the Ladies in White. As a help, but what if Lex starts to change? From vibrant and happy to distant and wearing all white? What if Lex is constantly with Abigail and the other girls? I really couldn’t stop reading and I had to know if Lex was all right and if Quinn would be able to figure things out before it was too late! I loved the mystery behind Abigail and it was nice and dark~

Mike was the biggest reason why I was so frustrated. Eventually it got less, but even after that he just had those random moments that he suddenly got angry or suddenly acted like shit and I just wasn’t a fan. I get it, the Oldies and what happened was scary. I get it, you don’t want to go through it again. I get it, you have scary dreams and barely sleep. I get it, it is hard. But instead of reacting it to Quinn, just be nice to her, she was there to, she also has fears and nightmares. Instead of dismissing her about the Ladies in White, just listen to her. Just talk with her. Just try to be there for her. I am glad that eventually they talked and that things got a bit better, but still Mike at times acted like Quinn was overreacting.

I love that we got some track, see Mike and Quinn go on daily runs, see them work with their teams. I didn’t know that track was such a big thing in the US though, but I keep encountering it in books.

I would have kinda liked to see Quinn and Mike make their relationship real. I mean, the spark is there. I hope that doesn’t sound wrong since these are teens, but they are just so cute together (well the moments that Mike wasn’t frustrating) and I just love seeing them get closer. I would have definitely liked to see them talk about THEM and go from fake to real.

The ending was awesome, it was exciting, scary, WOW, and there was more. I am definitely curious about the next book in the series~

All in all, I hope that there are many more books coming, though I also hope that we get to know why every spooky thing keeps happening in this town, haha. I would recommend it!

The Collectors is the sequel to The Stitchers. It picks up fairly soon after the events of the first book. I wouldn't say this one really works well as a stand alone. It does spoil some of the first book, so I would recommend that one first. In this one, Quinn and Mike are back with a new threat on their quiet neighborhood.

I really enjoyed this one almost more than the first book (which I loved). The new threat was even creepier. I loved the lore behind it. The big fight in the end satisfied my inner middle school horror loving self. What I loved even more about the book were two of the themes that the author wove into the book...the reality of grief and PTSD. A year out, Quinn is still heavily grieving the loss of her father. Mike is dealing with PTSD form the events in the book before. I always like when books geared toward this age range bring up things like this. Both are a reality of life and it's important for kids to see that. Anyway, I won't spoil the book, I just highly recommend you read it. I'm not sure if there will be more books in this series, but I hope to see Quinn and Mike again. They still need to talk about what happened at the dance.

The Collectors is Lorien Lawrence’s second installment in her Fright Watch series, and it is just as spooky and entertaining as the first. Although The Collectors begins where The Stitchers ends, it can be read as a stand-alone book since necessary references are made to connect the books together without the use of spoilers.

After defeating the Oldies, Quinn and Mike discover that strange new neighbors now inhabit those vacant houses, which soon gives them a new investigation. They notice that these five women live in different houses but are always together and dressed in white. When Abigail, Eleanor, Jade, Brea, and Cami have an open house to promote their new interior design business on Goodie Lane, they invite the surrounding neighbors. Since Quinn and Mike live next door to each other and across the street from the Ladies in White, they attend. Quinn cannot shake the eerie feeling that there is something wrong with these women. When Quinn gives her glass to the youngest girl Cami, it falls right through her translucent hand without anyone else noticing. Quinn tells Mike that it is time for a ghostly investigation.

Since these two sleuths go to school together and are on the track team, Quinn and Mike both have similar schedules that provide them opportunities to watch their neighbors together and do their necessary research in the library. When Quinn’s friend Lex, who has always loved interior design, is invited by the Ladies in White to volunteer at their business, Quinn is worried. Lex thinks she is just envious. Quinn notices that Lex is spending too much time with her new friends and is distancing herself from her school friends. Lex’s mannerisms and appearance are also changing. Quinn and Mike step up their investigation to keep their friend from becoming a ghost.

The ghost hauntings in Quinn’s house are very realistic and quite scary with the cold temperatures, flickering lights, movement of objects, and shadowy figures. Quinn’s record player would suddenly play the Beatles’ “Let It Be,” which was her deceased father’s favorite song. Quinn began mourning her father’s death in The Stitchers and has yet to find the closure she needs, especially with a ghost displaying pictures of her dad in foggy windows.

Quinn and Mike affectionately call themselves Batman and Robin, and Lawrence gives them plenty of clues that are exciting, frightening, and dangerous during this new investigation.

“The Collectors” should be housed in a classroom and library setting because it is a fun read for middle grade readers, as well as a teaching tool for teachers. It contains multiple ideas for themes and writing prompts. I highly recommend this book and series. I look forward to the third book.

What a feeling to be back on Goodie Lane with Quinn and Mike as they gear up for a new school year and, thankfully for me, a new spooky & creepy mystery to unravel! THE COLLECTORS by Lorien Lawrence is the second installment in the Fright Watch series and I truly hope this series goes on and on as long as she wants it to live. I seriously think I would be best friends with these two if, you know, we were the same age and went to the same school and, well, if they were real. But that is just one of Lawrence's gifts: she brings these characters to life in every way possible. From the dialogue to interacting with their pets and family to trying to find their place in the world, Lawrence creates honest characters. Don't get me wrong - I love the MG horror side of these stories SO much. But I also love watching these kids find themselves, grapple with academic and athletic hardships, struggle with and grow beyond their grief, etc. And I am elated to say that Grandma Jane is just as charming, loving, and feisty in book two as she was in the first book, The Stitchers.

The story with The Collectors is so fun! I am starting to think their neighborhood was built atop a Hellmouth because 2-for-2 they cannot get a break with their neighbors. But let new people keep moving to their street with all their past horror stories, creepy vibes, and interesting lives! I do not want to give much else away about the plot because I had a great time realizing what this book was about as it happened. I cannot wait to continue my friendship and research with Quinn and Mike for whatever comes next. 4.5 stars and rounded up for Goodreads!

This is a story about believing in yourself and the power of friendship. Quinn and Mike are neighbors, running partners and friends. I don't want to spoil anything from the first book in the series, so I'll just say that they're no strangers to investigating and facing off against creepy supernatural forces in their quiet little neighborhood. This time, The Ladies In White have moved into the houses that were previously occupied by The Oldies, and they have opened an interior design company. But there is something off about these ladies, especially their leader, Abigail. Quinn's close friend Lexie has always been into design, so she's thrilled when she has an opportunity to volunteer for Abigail's company. When Lexie begins working long and late hours and starts acting strangely, Quinn is concerned that Abigail is hiding something and that Lexie may be in danger. She needs Mike's help to unravel the mystery and save Lexie, before it's too late.

If you're a YA/Middle Grade Horror fan, you need to read the Fright Watch series! This book was a great follow up to The Stitchers and I loved it. Quin and Mike are fantastic characters with such a positive, strong friendship. I really enjoyed the cast of supporting characters, especially Grandma Jane and Red. I hope to see them play a bigger role in a future story. There were some very creepy elements in the book that sent chills down my spine. Another super fun adventure from Lorien Lawrence. And here's some great news for middle grade horror lovers - Lawrence has already written book # 3 in the series - UNMASKED - and has plans for 6 Fright Watch books in total. Yay! Can't wait to see what other creepy characters show up to cause trouble on Goodie Lane!!

Thank you to Amulet Books, the author, and Netgalley for an eARC of this book.

Ginger Nuts of Horror previously reviewed The Stitchers (2020) which was the debut novel of Lorien Lawrence and the first book in the excellent Fright Watch series which is perfect for Middle Grade readers. I was delighted to hear that after defeating the ‘Oldies’ in their previous supernatural mystery Quinn and Mike were back up to their old snooping tricks in a brand-new spooky mystery.

When I reviewed the first entry I noted: “The Stitchers main strength are the two main characters and their interactions with each other (and growing attraction) as the plot develops” and the same could be said of this sequel, with the strong central characters and friendship dynamics nicely balanced against a mystery story which slowly edges into the realms of the supernatural when new neighbours move into Goodie Lane. The arrivals own an interior design firm and although they charm some of the kids, Quinn and Mike wonder why Abigail, Eleanor, Jade, Brea, and Cami seem to always be together, dressed completely white. As in its predecessor the duo begins to investigate and get involved in a fun and spooky mystery which had a few chills but was not scary enough to trouble older kids. Parents or teachers could give this book to younger kids and feel reassured that it’s a great story but not have to worry about the appropriateness of the content. AGE RANGE 9/10+

From 1 to 5 stars I would give this book 5 stars because I really enjoyed this book, from the start you are hooked and you always wanna return to reading because you wanna find out what happened. The questions that were raised were how did Quinn's dad pass away and did it have to do with the Ladies in white. I think this book doesn't relate to my Hero´s Journey because it isn't that realistic and it simply will not happen in real life. I believe this book changed me as a reader because I actually think each time I get better and with each book I enjoy, I get encouraged to read the next one and the next one. I would recommend this book to anyone who wants to enjoy a kinda scary book about adventure. Quotes & Plot Points:
Quinn’s a bit wary of the Ladies in White, but her friend Lex is thrilled that someone in town finally has some style. But when Lex starts volunteering at the Ladies’ design firm, things get strange. Lex is acting less like herself, and Quinn begins seeing strange shadows lurking in their neighborhood. She knows the Ladies are to blame; she just has to prove it.
After defeating the Oldies, Quinn and Mike thought that things would settle down on Goodie Lane. But then new neighbors move in.
Abigail, Eleanor, Jade, Brea, and Cami seem to always be together, dressed in only white.

One of the best middle grade horror series right now.

In the second installment of the Fright Night series The Collectors, the story is full of things that go bump in the night. What a phenomenal sequel to The Stitchers, once again our protagonists Quinn and Mike are settling in the new school year, with new hopes and dreams. Someone is about to change the neighborhood once again. A new set of neighbors appear on Goodie Lane, simply known as The Ladies in White, they bring the promise of a new and fashionable interior design company to the city.

Everyone is completely smitten by the fashion forward ladies, everyone but Quinn, she suspects something is very, very wrong and is determined to find out what their real plans are, especially when Lex, one of her best friends starts to volunteer upon the owners request and things get weird, fast!

I absolutely loved how Quinn's and Mike's friendship was stronger than ever, even when they have shaky moments, they always found a way to believe in one another and support each other. The story definitely had more emotional depth with Quinn still coming to terms with her fathers death and how she has a hard time still grieving and letting go. Reading about their school activities was such a delightful time, and brought back amazing memories. Very much enjoyed how much more involved Quinn's friends were and how they wanted to save Lex. The ending to the book was absolutely amazing and it definitely brought the chills and thrills readers will enjoy and talk about for a long time.

This series needs to be picked up to be adapted into a movie or tv series ASAP, I can imagine Goodie lane coming to life and haunting audiences everywhere.

This book was received as an ARC from ABRAMS Kids - Amulet Books in exchange for an honest review. Opinions and thoughts expressed in this review are completely my own.

I am familiar with the Fright Watch series and I first heard of it because I was looking for a series for a patron that was similar to R.L. Stine's Goosebumps series and I cam across Fright Watch and had that same scary feeling as when I first read the Goosebumps series in third grade. This book however, reminded me of an old kids show on Nickelodeon called Are You Afraid of the Dark? and The Collectors will definitely be a story that could have been featured on that show. The mystery and the anticipation Quinn and Mike have for discovering the secrets behind the family and finding the explanation to all of the strange behavior going on since the family moved in. I know our young readers will find this book very fascinating and I can't wait to hear and read their reviews.

We will consider adding this title to our JFiction collection at our library. That is why we give this book 5 stars.

The Collectors is an excellent follow-up to the first book in the Fright Watch series, The Stitchers, which I read and loved earlier this year. I really liked following Quinn and Mike again, as their embarked on another spooky investigation as something strange began to happen on Goodie Lane once more just as the Ladies in White moved in... The Collectors is super fun, fast-paced, and although it's very much inspired by Goosebumps and Fear Street (which I loved, of course), Lorien Lawrence makes it fresh and unique as her story and twists are really original. This book also pulled me out of a rare, but annoying, reading slump. Can't wait for the book 3, Unmasked!

This is book two of Lorien’s Fright Watch series! It follows friends Quinn and Mike as they battle the spooky things that keep finding their way into their neighborhood!

After defeating the Oldies (book one), Quinn and Mike think things will get back to normal. But when new neighbor Abigail moves in with her interior design firm something doesn’t seem right. Then when Quinn’s best friend Lex gets wrapped up in her volunteer position with Abigail and slowly starts acting different Quinn knows it’s time to investigate!

Soon Quinn and Mike realize there is more to Abigail and her firm than they anticipated! Can they get Lex away from her before it is too late?

Growing up I loved Fear Street and Goosebumps and Point Horror books. This series is reminding me of why I loved those books. Ms. Lawrence does an amazing job developing her characters and I love the growing relationship/friendship between Quinn and Mike. I highly recommend this series! Look for it August 2021!!!

Getting to be back on Goodie Lane was such a treat! We get to see Quinn and Mike dealing with the aftermath of their spooky encounters from last time we saw them. We also get to know each of them a bit better and deeper too! Just like in The Stitchers, I LOVED Quinn’s relationship with Mike! The two of them are adorable! This time we also get to know Quinn’s friends a bit better too, which was lots of fun!

When her creepy new neighbor Abigail moves into the neighborhood and loops one of Quinn’s friends into helping her with her design business, Quinn and Mike are up for another fabulous investigation! The Collectors was so much fun. I adored the characters and everything was delightfully spooky! This book just confirmed that I will be picking up anything and everything that Lorien Lawrence writes!
