Book 15 in the bestselling Paranormal Investigation Bureau witchy cozy mystery series.
Woohoo! Lily finally gets that holiday she’s been wishing for since she arrived in the UK over a year ago, and everyone is joining her in Venice, including her mum. Their first day gets off to an amazing start, until a pigeon drops a “gift” on Lily’s head. Then it’s all downhill from there when, on their first night, a man at their hotel is murdered.
Lily and her friends try to stay out of things, but Angelica can’t help herself. When she teams up with the Italian PIB, she puts herself in the murderer’s sights. When Angelica disappears, Lily, Will, and their friends look everywhere, but it’s as if she’s disappeared into thin air, and the Italian PIB aren’t helping.
With little support and no local knowledge, the gang are scrambling, and Lily makes a huge miscalculation, putting her in harm’s way. Will she get out of this one alive, or has she finally met her witchy match? One thing’s for sure—when a Venetian has a vendetta, it’s best to just stay out of their way.
I love reading and writing. I'm a mother to two teens and two Siamese cats. I've got an associate degree of creative writing and am a full-time author. I write paranormal cosy mysteries with heroines who are quirky, kind, and love to right wrongs and get justice. I also love to make people laugh and give them an awesome escape, which is why I tell stories.
Well, finally I didn’t know who dun it until the end. :) I’m glad she continued with the characters in a “one off” story. It opens up many more stories
After defeating RP, Lily & her friends deserve a holiday! Venice is calling, but will it be a relaxing week or will there be a mystery to solve? Crime never sleeps & our Westerham friends soon encounter a case & they just cannot keep out of the way... Especially when Angelica disappears... Another brilliant installment in Dionne Lister's Westerham PIB series! As funny and intriguing as always, the setting is in Venice & Lily & the rest of the gang deserve a holiday, but unfortunately they just cannot stay out of trouble, as it keeps following them... Cannot wait for the next one!
When a holiday turns into a nightmare. Its fun being back with Lily and the gang. This holiday after the last book doesn't go as planned. We get to follow Lily, Will and everyone else who!e they try and figure out this murder while enjoying Italy.
The English PIB crew, including Lily, plans some time off to visit Venice expecting a normal tourist witch's time away from work. Hah! People are replaced by blown glass statues by their first day in town. That makes it a bus driver's holiday, specially when the boss, Angelica, disappears. Lily grabs onto the case like a terrier after the rats in the barn and drags the English PIB contingent into a jurisdictional dispute with the Italian PIB office.
A Mickey Finn disgised as a dessert lands Lily in the perpetrator's inner sanctum with the possibility of becoming a glass statue herself. That rates this a ripping good yarn.
It's been a year since I read the last book, but it was surprisingly easy to pick up where I'd left off. There were a few spots that could've been cleaned up a little better between characters and a bit more Lavender would've been nice, but overall another nice book. I'd definitely recommend for a rainy day read.
Lily, Will, Imani and the gang all head to Venice to have a well deserved holiday after all the stuff with RP. And well, you guessed! Things didn't go to plan as per. lol
Venice is beautiful and they are staying at a hotel for witches, but something is off and then a beautiful but familiar glass statue appears in the courtyard.
Lily is on holiday with friends at long last. Naturally it doesn't go as planned as they all end up embroiled in an investigation. This storyline was very good as didn't work out who the bad witch was till near the end.
After finally defeating and destroying the RP, Lily and crew go on a well deserved vacation/holiday. But, alas, no rest for Lily. Crimes start happening at their hotel, they are drawn in, one of their group disappears and everyone is back to work.
How does Lily always manage to find trouble and Ma’am?! I mean seriously! She’s been MIA and she gets kidnapped in this book - I mean good grief! Turning people into glass was an interesting way to kill them though.
