It’s a fascinating novel about a canyon in Oklahoma, a novel that begins in the prehistoric era and runs right up to present day. There are lots of stories about the people living in the canyon and their struggles and triumphs as they try to make the region a home - this was always James Michener’s style.
The novel will pull you right in. My disappointment was that a character I rooted for from the start didn’t make it through.
Recommended.
