The School of Magical New York City Campus bundle set includes all four novellas in the series that is a companion to The Elemental Magic and The Academy Magic Series . This bundle set of novellas is intended to be read after The Fallen Witch . Teach magic, they said. It’ll be fun, they said. Yeah, well, they’re dirty rotten liars. When I told Tennessee we needed to have more schools than just Edenburg I thought they’d assign appropriate people to the task. Ya know, like actual adults. Not a sixteen year old who still has to finish high school herself. But then Tennessee became Coven Leader, and my great idea came back to bite me in the ass. Sure, the Majors and Minors of Manhattan were technically in charge and they’d brought in fantastic witches to teach.....however our fearless, nonhuman Leader wanted Deacon and I to oversee everything. I wanted to be honored that he trusted us that much....but I barely knew how to use my own magic, how was I supposed to run an entire magical academy - without destroying the city or getting anyone killed? I didn’t know but I was about to find out. Titles The Fire Witch The City Witch The Uptown Witch The Empire Witch The first novella, The Fire Witch, takes place between Aether Witch and Hidden Witch. The City Witch takes place between Fallen Witch and Wild Witch…so if you already read those, just skip ahead to The Uptown Witch.
I have literally read the 2 Coven box sets along with this novella box set in 3 days. It is so addicting.
I cannot get enough of the Coven and the stories that keep coming. Every single book I read has me on the edge of my seat and desperate for more.
The cards are just amazing and their relationships are just great. I love how these focused on Deacon and Emersyn and we saw their bond complete and how the opening of the first new school of magic goes.
After reading about some of the new characters coming in I’m excited for seeing more of them!
I am absolutely a big fan of Chancellor LaVaun. This series, The Coven, is one of the best series I have ever read. The different elements in this series is so enthralling and exciting that you won't want to put it down. I was so happy to see the series isn't over. In this series you have to hold on and keep on reading because you never know what is going to happen next. I will definitely be waiting for the next book to be printed. Love, love, love this series.
The only thing this series of novellas lack is ... more! New characters, revisited old characters, scenery, plots, all are excellently portrayed, just like the other books in this season/series. I read these and revisit my younger days when I wanted to be a witch with all the funky powers. Please, keep writing, and all of us will continue to read and rave over you and you books!
I'm a big fan of this author. My only complaint, per se, potential SPOILER!!!!! Is there is a love scene that is way too detailed. These are 16 year old kids, albeit tossed into 'real life' action and adult like roles already. Still, I kind of felt icky reading about the wowzah scene between 2 teenagers. I had to turn the page.
RESUME here if skipped above.
Stories are engaging and fun. I noted a plot 'mistake' between one of the series and the subsequent. Earlier it was said by a character something significant about the twins. Then later another character clearly states being told something different: one of the twins must live near one of the siblings Hope/Haven as opposed to the other. Made me thumb back through the books to make sure I was correct. Overall this author is a win! Long series one can get into without it ending too soon.
I love every book she has written and can't get enough. I have read this series twice now some I'm waiting for more and I always enjoy every character and the storyline. The plots are great and the way she weaves magic into the modern world along with other mythical characters is amazing. Give her a go and you won't be disappointed. She is truly an amazing author. The Harry Potter Christmas gifts were a nice touch by the way. Loved that inclusion <3
Soma is starting out with the bang. Registration alone is amazing. It requires the coordination of many to come off.
Adventures don't stop there with the children getting into trouble and needing rescued. Events bubble out of control and the adults are quite required to step in. But can they straighten out the mess in time?
I flew through this box set!! Emersyn and Deacons books were fast paced, funny, and adventurous. I loved reading more about the shifters and learning of a new enemy. And how about that curve ball at the end of Amelia and Maddox??! I can’t wait to read more about that. I love Chandelles books and I’m looking forward to Saffies story.
Started the series and first book so like Stephen King to many details. Nothing to catch your attention. Might be great for people who love every detail but I want less of that with reading. I like it when a book drags you in and keeps you there. The first was dragging me in but to many details after that I got bored. Never continued. Not my kind of book.
School of Magical Arts: Complete Novella Series (The Coven)
I loved everything about these stories!!! This is the best series that I’ve read and highly recommend it as a great read! I love the way Chantelle blends the different characters together to make them endearing and interesting! Nice balance 👍🫶🏼😉💐💐💐🤛
I was so happy when their glyph finished after all the things they went through. After almost losing him, they needed to finish strong, and boy did they... I read all the books on Kindle, but this season I purchased them in paperback, so I'd always have it.
I highly recommend this fantastic series, especially in this boxed set. It is so much more enjoyable to have the books continue from the beginning to the end of the series without stopping. Enjoy!
This series is great and the author has a real talent for bringing her story to life. It’s a little weird to me to read erotic scenes between teenagers....kinda like literary child porn in my opinion,
I love how even though Deacon is the devil card he’s super respectful about waiting for Em to be completely ready before progressing their relationship. I can’t wait to see more of Amelia and Maddox. And let’s not forget the lovely Landy. She’s a gem.
I luv this series can’t wait for more to come the author keeps you interested and entertained. The intricate storylines gives good clean fun l couldn’t put them down will continue reading this author’s books
This series deserves 10🌟. She gets bullied by his friends and family, she loves line dancing, (wonder if she danced to achy breaky ❤). She has her own style of clothes and boots. Does she take New York by storm or does it take her.
I love this series. And not just these 4. The whole coven series. They are fantastic. I love how easy it is to like each coven member. And I love the soul mates. Just can’t get enough. I would recommend this series to anyone who loves to read.
Had this box set in my library for months. Read them in two days, now it’s time to do some house work before I start on the next coven set for Steffe’s story. I loved the coven.
You HAVE to read everything from this author. I know I'm going to. The characters keep evolving and growing. I'm invested in them. I want more of them. Saffie, Landy, Amelia, Maddox and everyone else as well.
I enjoyed this series and it was fun to get to read about Emersyn and Deacon’s story. I loved the interactions with Deacon’s family. Plenty of action and humor too.
I love all her books, she is amazing the characters in the books you can't help loving them, you really loose yourself and feel your part of it all with thrm, I have read all of her books and can't wait to see what happens next
Loved the relationships and watching such different people learn to work together. Being from New York I enjoyed the action at many of my remembered places.
These stories support the larger novels in the series. Full of the same wonderful storytelling. You may want to read them in the order along with the books as there are spoilers to the other stories.
I bought most of these book separately. Except for the Empire Witch which I have just read. Enjoyed it immensely and I haven't been able to put it down since I start the first bookThe Chosen Witch. Absolutely fantastic series including all of the characters. Plenty of action. Highly recommended
I love The Coven books. I did get this one accidentally. I was looking for another book similar to the first series and found this one. I now know to looks for the author and publishing dates. Already downloaded the Academy series. Great characters and story line.
I love all the characters and it was nice to experience more of Emersyn and Deacon’s lives, but the stories were a little low on the action front. After all the craziness of the first series of books, this was a very different rhythm.
I love this whole series, it just gets better and better with every book. And as I re-read with each new book I pick up little clues and hint and I love it.
