Sometimes, the greatest gifts are several centuries in the making.

At just over four centuries old, Constantine had come to accept that he isn’t going to find his One. He has a good life, a place of prestige as his coven’s doctor, and a close coven family. Then why is it that he wants more?

Miles is the youngest of his family and just wants away from everything associated with being the alpha’s omega son. So much so, that when his grandfather asks if he wants to move across the country and work with the coven doctor, he jumps at the chance. Never did he expect to scent his mate the moment he arrived.

Constantine and Miles aren’t sure why fate threw them together and work to find common ground. But when complications arise with their pregnancy, will they draw on one other for strength, or will it divide what the fates matched together?

Constantine is the third book in the Warlocks of Amherst series. Each book in the series focuses on a different couple but these books should be read in order as previous couples will make appearances in future books. This book is intended for adults only. It contains a Fated Mate pairing and plenty of magical sexy times that lead to male pregnancy, as this is an MPREG story.

Ok, so it felt a bit "more of the same". At least Constantine was somehow self aware enough to know they jumped from meeting to babies without getting to know each other. The hard pregnancy was also underwhelming. It feels like Taylor wanted to shake things up, but not enough too much. The result feels way too unbelievable, even for a book with instalove, mpreg and magic. And the side plots about Dane felt like something to carry the story along differently, but could have had more relevance than the ever present morning sickness. Yes, morning sickness had more presence than a "grab for power" side plot.
Also, what kind of jump happened for "Costas" to be a nickname to Constantine? I feel like Matthew's "Connie" would make more sense. And it would have been funnier too.

Sweet story

This was a very nice story. I enjoyed both Constantine and Miles. They fit well together, though Constantine felt a little overbearing at times.
It was enjoyable and hot.
Sweet story, especially the ending

Constantine

Another great episode in this series. It's funny how some of these characters get when they meet their one and mate. It's also still amusing when everyone meets Edison and Wallace.

The coven sure is getting a bunch of mates. Constantine had resigned himself to not finding a mate after all these years but is pleasantly surprised and freaked out when Miles walks into his life. Miles hasn't had the best time and really needs someone by his side which Constantine is more than willing to do. They both have to work on communication, but don't all new couples.

The series is still the same, not getting better.

To make it short the same issues I found in the previous 2 books (and 2.5) are here. Plot has nothing of interest, whatever could be fun or intriguin or stressful is solved easily and anti-climatically or is brushed away as if nothing was happening. Loopholes and time line issues that make me think more than one person wrote it and no one communicated their work to the other(s).

Characters seem fun or entertaining at first but get more bland and cookie cutter by the minute.

And now, to make matters worse, here's an issue particular to this book I loathe. The use of trauma or traumatic events as plotdevices. A character in this book suffers a traumatic event previous to the story in the novela and while it's talked about or better said used in the book to "further" romantic feelings it's never addressed for what it is; a traumatic event that needs at least therapy or a healing process, to be taken seriously and not used like the but of a joke. Also, a character involved in the event is used as a plot device when should've been a key part of addressing the trauma and the character's actions with the seriousness it deserved but instead... is used as a plot device and a joke, given an "ending" that could trigger survivors unnecessarily. It's just wrong in so many levels.

While I don't recommend any of the entries on this saga, I particularly go against reading this one out of principle. Shame on anyone who uses the very real pain of survivors of abuse and disrespects what it means to them to survive and heal.

I received an ARC of this book and voluntarily left a review.

Constantine: Warlocks of Amherst by Taylor Rylan is the 3rd book in the Warlocks of Amherst series. The beginning of the book contains a short story of how Master Arthur found his One, Patrick. These characters play a large part in the story of Constantine. He is the 400 year old Coven doctor and at the beginning of the book he is lonely and feeling like he will never find his One. Miles, a lion shifter, is also the great-grandson of the Masters of the Coven and he is a nurse living in Seattle. It is decided that he will come to Amherst to assist Constantine and once they meet they realize they are each other’s One. This book then goes on to chronicle the ups and downs of their relationship as they get to know one another and fall in love. There is also a difficult pregnancy and lots of hovering and love as well as other happenings in the Coven. Several funny parts occur when others cross Constantine and Miles and what they do to them for revenge. When you read this story you will also encounter characters from previous books and catch up on what is happening in their lives. I really enjoyed this book and highly recommend it, especially if you like warlocks, Covens, and shifters. I am looking forward to reading the next book in the series.

I didn't even know that warlocks existed, and now I can't get enough of these guys!

A lot is happening with the Warlocks of Amhurst... members of the coven are finding their Ones and for the first time in a long time, babies are being welcomed into the fold. Constantine is happy to be delivering these new arrivals but is also looking forward to a shifter nurse who will join them to help care for a diverse shifter community nearby. But life is never that simple, and Miles turns out to be the one that Constantine has been waiting for. Our lovely Author has once again turned a fine tale... we look for the HEA but know that it won't come easy. This is the third novel in the series, and the books should be read in order. If you have already read the Honey Creek Bears and Timber Valley Wolves series, you'll run into some of your favorite characters again. Taylor has woven together a wonderful alternate world... I'm so glad there are more stories to be told after this one. Note: This edition begins with a novella of another couple in the coven (Arthur & Patrick) originally offered in a free giveaway in January 2021. Note: I received a free advance copy of this book at my request and offer this review voluntarily.

When you just about give up hope sometimes you find your One.

From the first time we met Constantine there we a sadness about him and we could feel his utter belief that he would never find his One. I was so excited that he got a book! I knew that the care he shows as a doctor would extend beautifully to a One and then he met Miles. Miles had some growing up to do I feel as he was sheltered as the baby of the family. Together the gave each other what they needed and formed a beautiful connection.

I love it when authors bring a menagerie of animal shifter types to their series and loved the new one we meet on this book. I laughed out loud over a few scenes and let’s just say that inflatable slides are not just for kiddos!

This book seemed to have more sexy times than I remember other books from this author having so if that is your thing this is the book for you.

I read an ARC and this is my honest review.

An good series

I enjoyed this book so much. In this book, we meet Constantine and Miles.

Constantine is the doctor of the warlocks and is very old over 400 years. He even looks older than any of the other warlocks. Regardless, he is happy to help all the mated couples deliver their new babies but secretly would love his One and a little one to cherish.

Great story looking forward to reading the next in the series.

Although these can be read as stand-alone, I would recommend reading them all as they are great reads.

The narration by Michael Ferraiuolo is excellent, although I did speed up the recording on audible to 1.25, which is typical for me.

Constantine was absolutely amazing!
Like all the other books in the Warlocks Of Amherst series I was sucked in before I had even finished the first page and I wasn’t released until I had gotten to the end of the story, which I was always left wanting to read more of the world I was visiting.
Taylor Rylan just has a way of weaving her stories that makes you feel like you are actually there experiencing it all right along with the characters, I can’t wait until the next book in this series is here.
Anyway it’s going to be a big HECK YEAH I most definitely do recommend Constantine, actually I recommend all three books in the Warlocks Of Amherst because each book is awesome.

Constantine and Miles were beautiful together - this was just what the doctor ordered ;)

Dad jokes aside, this story was lovely. What I think I love best about Rylan’s books is thy even though the couples are fated mates, they still have to put the work in to make their relationships work. I loved seeing Miles and Constantine find each other and make a happy life - it wasn’t always smooth sailing, but they worked hard to show each other the love they deserved, even when things got tough.

I loved the book and can’t wait for what’s next with Grantham’s story (I’ve got to admit, I also kind of want to read about Dane and Raphael too)!

I have only been familiar with this author's contemporary stories and was curious how this mpreg, paranormal, shifter romance would be. Oh man, I love this world even more than the author's other works. I came to this one not having read the previous volumes and while there are clearly some backstories I have missed it detracted in no way from my enjoyment of this couple. Constantine and Miles are perfect for each other and watching them negotiate their relationship was a real treat. There are some tense moments with the pregnancy and I was so caught up in the story that I really worried for the characters just like I would friends going through that. I am happily off now to read the first two stories and get caught up on this world and its people.

Wonderful addition to Warlocks of Amherst

I fell in love with these characters in Honey Creek and Timber Valley and have really enjoyed the Amherst stories. Have Arthur and Patrick’s meeting as an extra in this books was a real treat. I only wish it could have been a bit longer.

Constantine and Miles make a lovely couple and the only quibble I have is Constantine went really quickly from not wanting such a young One to changing his mind. It would have helped to see more of his thinking that led to the change.

Taylor Rylan is one of my favorite authors and Constantine is another strong story with memorable characters and lots of old friends from prior books. Strongly recommend.

Our favorite coven doctor finally finds his One where he least expects it. We are completely drawn to this series and keep coming back for more. Constantine has been alone for the last four centuries, never knowing if he was going to find the One that completes him. Miles was looking for a change, and to get away from a past that no one knows about. Fate has a funny way of working out. Constantine is fated to Miles and will do anything and everything to protect his lion. The banter that they two of them have is comical and when they do fight the make upside of fights is off the charts. Who needs a hot warlock? That cover… nailed Constantine.

I seriously loved Constantine and Miles!!! Constantine is a warlock that has been around for more that four centuries and he’s lonely. Miles is a lion shifter and is the Coven’s master’s grandson. I was immediately sucked into the story. It didn’t let me go until I had finished it!! Sooo freaking good!!! Constantine seemed so stuffy to me in all the other Warlocks of Amherst stories, but oh boy was I wrong!! I loved how he got revenge (and the type of revenge) on those that hurt Miles! This was fantastic and I seriously recommend this story!! I’m voluntarily reviewing from an advanced copy that I received.

Constantine finds his One!

The coven’s doctor, centuries old has found his One. Constantine is content with his life, yet his yearning will be met wit a young omega. Miles is the youngest in his family and eager pro prove himself. I loved the dynamic from the start. Constantine gets scared but accepts his mate, although dangers and intrigue could break them up... I enjoyed how friends and family come to aid to their happily ever after. Their romance is sweet with lots of sexy. The world building in the series is so well done too. Great book, great series!

Love for the Doctor!

Costas and Miles are perfect! Miles is as adorable as you would expect him to be with having the lineage he has. But Constantine?! I have been wanting this wonderful character to find his One since he was first introduced so long ago! There was always the hint of sadness in him. Enter Miles and BAM! the amazing doctor has the perfect One who just happens to be a lion shifter. So, yeah he can do the partial tongue shift like Arik and Wallace which their mates are very fond of 😉 I really enjoyed their story but I also enjoyed having the beginning of Arthur and Patrick's love included. Now to wait for Grantham's story as patiently as possible!

Not gonna lie, when Taylor Rylan starts throwing the grandparents and siblings' names out there, it gets mighty confusing. For better or worse, the Warlocks is the only series I've read of hers. Adding in that the first few chapters are Arthur and Patrick's story, had me wondering if the wrong title had been attached to the book.
Still, even without the background context, Miles and Constantine's' story is a sweet one. It's a quick read with a storyline that is actually only a couple of moths in real time. Age gap with an OMG this is the coven masters' grandson worry. Then a mating, heat, pregnancy. So yeah, fast. And fun.

So sweet

This was honestly my favorite one of the Warlocks of Amherst series so far. I love them all but Constantine and Miles are definitely my favorites.
I loved how devoted they were to each other. How they had each other's backs. Neither one of them pushed the other to hard, just the right amount of push and pull for me.....

I can't wait till Grantham's book comes out and Im anxious to find out who is his One. Taylor Rylan write some of the most well rounded Mpreg books I have ever read.... definitely think that anyone who loves mm romances should look at Taylor Rylan's book's, I truly believe you'll love them.

Just Perfection

(Big sigh)! Just when I think it can't get any better, Taylor Rylan goes and proves me wrong. I loved seeing stoic Constantine loosen up and Miles was so perfect for him. The heat factor in this book is 🔥🔥🔥 and I loved that side of the serious doctor. As usual, all the favorite characters from previous books made several appearances, and there was a lot more crossover with some of the other shifter series in here as well. The books blend so seamless that it doesn't feel like separate stories, but more like one continual one. Another perfect addition to the Warlocks of Amherst series and I'm so excited to jump into Grantham's book next! Penguins! Yay!

Protective Warlocks and their shifter mates. What can get better than that? Add in a large age-gap (almost 350 years) and that the warlock is friends with the shifters grandparents. Got I love this universe.

Constantine is the coven's doctor and he's been waiting for his mate. When the coven leader thinks that they need a nurse to assist, they invite their grandson, Miles. Upon arrival, it is known to both Constantine and Miles that they are mates.

What follows are some really good sexy times, some scary health issues and of course a warlock mate who hovers over his One. I can't wait to read what's next

This is another sweet fated mates instalove between a warlock and a lion shifter.
Constantine is the doctor for the coven and Miles is a nurse sent to assist Constantine.
They do claim each other immediately but that doesn’t mean it all runs smoothly in their mating. They still need to learn about each other and there’s also the concerns of a pregnancy which has complications.
If you want an enjoyable, low angst, fated mates mpreg story with likeable characters who share lots of steamy times, then this will be a great way to spend a few hours.

Baby fever has hit Amherst hard and in the thick of it is newly mated pair Miles and Constantine. Adorable and playful with infectious humour this story was seriously packed with everything, makes me wish I would of read the first two books in the series. I loved Constantine and how he used magic so comfortably like a second skin, Miles was feisty with a hidden dark side that was awesome. A playfulness to discover and some inventive punishment, this was a partnership that both men worked hard at and the end result was magnificent.

I absolutely adored this latest book in the Warlocks of Amherst series!!! Constantine has resigned to the fact that he as old as he his might never find his one. He was taken back when he finally meets his one Miles. Miles is wanting a change in his life so he comes to the Coven to be an assistant to the doctor. Imagine his surprise when the doctor is his fated mate. I loved every second of their story, I laughed, cried and swooned during the hot steamy moments. Such a great story and they were absolutely perfect for each other. I loved this story and recommend this to all. Well done!!!

Constantine & Miles are super duper sweet together! Miles is so young and there are some things he still has to learn but he loves Constantine so so much! Constantine has just about given up on finding his one until miles came along and then he was worried about the age difference!
There was no need to worry, the fates know what they are doing! Miles & Constantine are absolutely perfect for each other! I love all the warmth & love that these books have in them! Taylor is amazing and her work is always so so good! I can’t wait for what’s next!😀❤️

This book was okay. Nothing really happened. Just a lot of pregnancy drama and Constantine being a worrywart throughout the book. It got a bit tedious after a while. Then there was the drama with Miles old pride that just fizzled out and went nowhere. The beginning part with Arthur and Patrick was the best part. I could have read a whole book with that couple and what they were going through but alas we were stuck with the Constantine. Overall, I give it a middle of the road rating because it wasn’t anything special.

Book three in the Warlocks of Amherst series keeps getting better and better!

Like myself, finding your true love at an advanced age can be quite thrilling, especially after years of loneliness. But this book in the series, offers a deeper look at the families of the coven and now they all pull together because they are family. It also proves family does not necessarily mean blood related but
those who love you for you, no matter who you are or what you are.
Taylor has once again pulled back the curtain a little further so we see a glimpse into the world of Warlocks!

I wish that we got to see more with these two actually finding common interests. Constas made such a big deal about it, but there was no page time actually devoted to he and Miles ever following through. And Miles never got to practice his vocation in the book, and seemed rather ignorant of what medical stuff was going on, when it did come up.

Overall, I liked this book more because of its place in the series, as a whole, than I did just as a story. I found both MCs to be surprisingly underdeveloped, and flat.
