This takes place after Riley fleeing from Leo after finding out that he had made a bet with his buddies how long would it take for him to get her into bed. He actually had sort of forgotten about this bet seeing how he had cooked her dinner she had made the first move on to him so while he was taking a shower and the text comes through, he is dumbstruck because this is one bet he wished he had not made. His best friends come over to see how he was doing, Tiana and Jorge and after sort of getting sober decides to go to his sister Theresa's house and visit her and her family. So to her help her forget about Leopold David her best friends Books and Ricardo decide to help her get over Leo to try to get her interested in someone else, namely her best friend Ricardo. Ricardo thought it might be a bad idea because what if she is not interested and it ended badly for them he didn't want to lose her as a friend and she didn't want to lose him either. But she knew that Ricardo really did not interest her for no more than a friend. We are left with a cliffhanger, which of course involves Leo's wish to always help a person who needs help, no matter what it is. So I would suggest you just buck up and read this and go on to the next story because Ava Greene is definitely building this relationship to a crescendo.

WITHOUT YOU is the second book in the Harbor series which is the continuing story of Dr. Riley Parker and Fire Captain Leopold David in the small town of Harbor. This "installment" of the story picks up after the cliffhanger of the first book and finds Riley and Leo estranged after she found out about a "can he bed her" bet that he had with a couple of his friends. Yep these are supposed to be grown men with careers that can save peoples lives that we are talking about here. So I still wanted to kick some of Leo's fine tight butt but you sort of start feeling a bit for him as he really is at a complete disadvantage because he does not know what to do since he is actually having those dreaded "feelings" for her. In the meantime Riley is so upset that she actually applies for a new position as the Hospital Director at a military hospital in another city. When their Riley and Leo's paths cross again at an event they are both at he finally has a chance to apologize and tell her exactly how he feels about her. They may get another chance but that does not mean there will not be more major potholes opening up along the journey. As with the previous book this one ends in a cliffhanger which is picked up in the next book/installment of the series.

What a great series. Without You is the second book of the Harbor series. Tihis is a short quick read that ends in a cliffhanger. In this installment Riley sees a message on Leo’s phone asking him if he slept with her yet and goes storming out of Leo’s house. Leo doesn’t know what to do so he does nothing. Two weeks go by and they run into each other at an award ceremony. Will they get a chance to talk or will Riley avoid her? What will Riley’s date think of the situation?

Riley is a doctor and Leo is a firefighter. He and his friends did a crappy thing to Riley, hurting her quite a bit. After some time, he decides to try to get her back. Riley tries to move on with someone else and has a new job prospect. I felt awful for poor Ricardo. He was treated very unfairly and I hope he gets a book. I did not read the first book of the series, but I followed everything with no problem. Cliffhanger ending.

Ok, I love these two. Riley is so independent, smart and strong! Leo, I just love him. He’s one of those hero guys that knows it, is cocky and arrogant and you just love him. I especially love that she seems to make him humble in a weird way. And this one has a cliffhanger I did not see coming! Great, short must read in order. I recommend this book if you like short stories that you read consecutively.

Oh, Ms. Riley, you can't listen to and follow all the advice of your best friend. How can she guide you when she doesn't have a man of her own??? Tempers started heating up when she followed said advice and feelings were hurt. She should have kept it real with Ricardo since she knew she wasn't over Leo. So many games being played with outside opponents, it was only a matter of time before someone got hurt. Leo is always the ever present hero...

Seeking Forgiveness -
Book two picks up from the impact of the text message. It was interesting to see how they each dealt with their feelings. This book also ends on a cliffhanger, but this one left my heart in my heart breaking. You will definitely enjoy reading book.

I’m liking this series. In the last one Leo messed up and now it’s time to find out if Riley will forgive him or if he’ll even want to be forgiven. Talk about a cliffhanger...I mean what the heck ?!?! I felt sorry for Richardo.

Leo knows that he messed up with Riley but has no idea how to fix it. When they find themselves at the same awards dinner, this is his chance to explain to her how he feels. The story ends with a cliffhanger that keeps you hoping that the author quickly releases the next book .

This is a sweat instalove romance with issues. I enjoyed the storyline bit the end was so abrupt almost unfinished. Not sure if it was intentional as a cliffhanger or if part of the story was missing.
