Fiona Miers has a super busy life, like most modern women. But she always finds time for reading and writing romance.
Her love affair with the romance genre started when she was only 11 years old, when her mother and Nana handed her her first Mills and Boon.
Since that day, she's built her own business, become a mother to two beautiful little girls, and fallen in love with the most spectacular man on the planet.
Fiona writes historical romance. She also writes paranormal romance and more erotic stories under the pen names, Amelia Shaw and Tamsin Baker.
A great read that flowed nicely throughout, easy to like characters and a steady romance, I would have liked a bit more grit to the story personally there wasn’t much a all about the pregnancy then all of a sudden she’s had the baby and it’s 18mth later they marry and it ends. It misses going into labour, having the baby how the new mom and dad are at seeing the baby we don’t even get a name for the baby it just skips 18mths this as a reader was disappointing.
Med/Slow Burn benefit arrangement while she is intown for 2 weeks she is a consultant hired to help with his business. Plot>Smut Heat 3/4 Medium - Sexual acts described in general terms Intimate scenes could be described as: Vanilla, Passionate TW: FMC has a chronic disease (endometriosis) No cheating or OWD
When Samara took a job to help a failing hotel in Hawaii she never thought she would fall for the grumpy owner. Julian has been lied to and his faith in women is no existent. When he meets Samara the attention is more than he ever expected. They both give into their attraction and when Samara went back to her life and plans she was finally on the right track. However Julian can’t stop thinking about her and heads to New York to find the woman who is different. She never expected to see him again so when he shows up her servers is out. She is having his baby and now it’s all he wants to. Julian must show Samara that she is his forever and not just because of the baby. They do get their HEA but Julian must prove he is the man she can count on.
I loved this book and would highly recommend it to readers. Following the story of Julian and Samara should intrigue readers. A physical attraction and a limited time to enjoy one another meanwhile their first sexual encounter has already changed the situation though they both dont know it.
Like this was a good read but it was written so poorly. I mean one minute her eyes are green then they're blue. It was stiff like old historical British English meets South African English with one "fuck" in the entire book... Why bother.
Editing was needed, it totally lacked juice. Fortunately it was short and sweet.
I did not enjoy this book at all and only finished it cause it was so short. He was so rude to her and then she saw him with no shirt and he's the best thing since sliced bread. He sends threatening legal paperwork and she just overlooks it and lets him have everything he wants. Grow a backbone.

This trope is corny as shit. Both of the ones I’ve read are both pregnancies resulting from one night stands and when the guy finds out demands marriage. Like are you kidding me?
Going to Hawaii for work and ending up getting pregnant before you planned on starting IVF- sounds like a dream come true. Even more when the guy comes back to NY looking for you. Cute love story.
This one was a fast and easy read but I didn’t get lost in the love story and was pretty bothered by the fact that she didn’t plan to tell him she was pregnant. I think that soured the rest of the story for me.
Samara at 29 has accomplished almost all the goals she set for herself at 21. She has a successful business, doing what she loves and financial security. She doesn't have The man of her dreams or children. Due to health issues, her chance at children is slipping away. She has a plan. 1 year to find that man of her dreams who is ready for children or plan B, IVF, and have a baby on her own. This last rush job will put her where she needs to be. Julian has let his parents down. They left him in charge of the family hotel chain, and while he was indulging in self pity after a devastating divorce from a hold digger, who he fell in love with. The man he left in charge of The family holding, embezzled millions and has taken off. While all the hotels suffered, the one in Hawaii is in dire straits. His mother has hired an interior designer to help put it to rights. Samara and Julian mix like oil and water, with a strong underlining attraction. Her sunny disposition is melting Julian's resolve. Her Mary Poppins like attitude, soon has the hotel on the way back to glory. With things running so smoothly Julian and Samara give into their attraction. Julian only wants casual and Samara wants forever. They end things when Samara's job is finished. Five months later Julian tracts Samara down, unable to forget their two weeks in Hawaii. Hoping she has missed him too, and they can pick up where they left off, and maybe he is ready for something more. He gets quite a shock to find her pregnant and feels betrayed. Hr has to decide what he really wants. A fast paced, and steamy second chance romance. A nice epilogue to wrap up their story.

The writing and story were fine. But here is a pet peeve....the author is obviously not from the U.S. but wants to write about it. If you don't live here then take a few minutes and use Google. Both location descriptions are wrong. I first thought she was on a smaller little traveled island until she mentioned Waikiki. OMG! Look at a picture that was taken recently not from the 1950s for crying out loud. She mentions her baby is due September 5 but could come "any time after next week." Okay, that means the time frame would be August. For those of us living in the Northeast (where New York is located), we are well aware that August is one of, if not, the hottest month. There is no way, you would be wearing a coat and shaking off snow. If you can ignore the location and just read the story -- enjoy the read. If details matter, it will annoy you.
Samara Jenkins was forced to take a consulting job at Julian King’s Hawaiian hotel when her parents needed the money she had saved for IVF to pay their outstanding medical bills. Julian is embarrassed because the friend he hired to manage his properties embezzled from him and let them deteriorate. He doesn’t want Samara there, but he starts to see her ideas have merit and he can’t deny the attraction he feels for her. She leaves after her 2 week job with more than just her commission. But Julian was hurt by his ex wife and he doesn’t do commitment. Will that change when there’s a baby involved? At first I didn’t like Samara, but I could see why she had to be judgmental to do her job. The ending was sweet.
Samara has been working a backside off to make her company a success and had decided to take a year off so she can have the baby she has always wanted. Due to health issues she has been told she needs to focus on getting pregnant or doing IVF treatments but at the last minute her parents need the money she has saved for treatment so she goes off to Hawaii to help a struggling hotel. This is where she meets Julian the owner of the hotels son and hotel manager. They have a fling and part company with no string attached. What will happen when he finds out she is pregnant with his child and did not tell him?

A modern woman does not need a man - or so Samara Jenkins believes. She wants a baby and already planned the conception the modern way, when she is forced to take one more job before she can start her pregnancy. She is consulting a hotel owner on how to improve the hotel to make it profitable again. She had not counted on Julian King, though, the owner's son and currently manager of the hotel. Attraction is immediate, but it takes a lot more than physical atraction to make Samara believe that Julian may be daddy-material. A story well-told, well-balanced and really entertaining. It was fun to read and to relax with this book. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
An entertaining and well told romance. Samara wants a baby but it hasn't happened yet. She decides to take one last consulting job in Hawaii before she starts IVF treatments. She then meets Julian who has been burned emotionally and manging the family hotel that is on its last chance of survival after being embezzled from. The connection and chemistry is hot but he doesn't want kids when they give into the passion it is amazing, job is finished and she goes back with a surprise. When he can't get her off his mind he seeks her out and finds she is pregnant and becomes angry and feels decieved. I loved this story and seeing how and if they could get to a HEA and they family that is desired.

What a beautiful and emotional book! I loved it! I loved how very real life it felt and how sweet short and emotional it ended.
Character breakdown;
Samara: I liked her, her sassy ways but not overdone. Her work hard and caring nature, I also found her relatable because I'm in the same boat she was at the beginning of the book. I'm hoping I'll have the partial ending she did.
Julian: I'm a sucker for broken people and he is no different. The way he was used and had gone through hell afterwards was sad. But I am glad he got what he least expected and most needed.
She has worked very hard to raise money so she could get fit and healthy so she could have ivf before her problems prevent it ever happening. Then her parents need the money so she takes a job in Hawaii. He had taken his eyes off the ball and his hotel was ruined. He goes to sort it out where he finds her there as his mother had hired her. They have a fling but to him that is all it is. What will be do when he finds he gave her a special gift? See what will happen
