New York Times -bestselling team Andy Griffiths and Terry Denton invite readers to come hang out with them in their 143-Story Treehouse―the eleventh book in the illustrated chapter book series filled with Andy and Terry's signature slapstick humor!
Andy and Terry live in a 143-story treehouse. (It used to be a 130-story treehouse, but they built another 13 stories.) It has a baked bean geyser that erupts on the hour every hour, a wrecking ball, a fish milkshake shack, a word-o-matic (it knows every word in the whole world!), a toffee apple orchard guarded by a kind-hearted scarecrow, and a camping ground.
Andy's been a bit stressed out lately, so Terry decides the perfect way to relax would be to head up to their new camping ground level for a much-needed vacation. But it turns out to be not quite as relaxing as planned. Terry forgets to pack the tent and the food, their attempt at fishing ends in disaster, the spooky campfire stories are a little too spooky and then, to make matters worse, all of Andy’s fellow campers start mysteriously disappearing. Can Andy brave the dark, dark woods and rescue them in time to finish writing their next book?

This entry in the series was really fun, and a nice change from the last few which felt more formulaic. My son and I especially enjoyed the "word of page" definitions. Lots of laughing while reading.
Always have loved these books SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Much!!!
I loved this book came out on audible 21st October 2021 and was read really well. A great laugh and shows that sometimes the best bit of a holiday is coming back. I loved the spooky elements of it to coincide with Halloween and the mask at the beginning. Well done guys well put together.
This isn’t as good as some of the earlier books in the series, but fans of the series will probably still enjoy it. A fun, quick read that appeals to kids who don’t normally read books, and kids who love books as well.
Jestem naprawdę zawiedziona. Może jest to spowodowane tym, że oczekiwałam od tej książki niewiadomo czego, aczkolwiek liczyłam na coś o niebo lepszego.

Another success. Camping always makes for funny stories. I loved that a lot of our favorite characters from previous books made an appearance. The three wise owls are a family favorite. Fred the ghost is the best too. I can relate a lot to Andy and terrys packing for their trip too. A funny definition of a word on every page.
SPOILERS and book notes: Word o matic (knows every word in the whole world). So there is a word a page and its definition. And of course the definitions are witty and hilarious. “graveyard: “a good place for storing a whole bunch of dead people.” There is a graveyard level where it’s always midnight. A toffee apple orchard guarded by a kind scarecrow so all the kids have eaten the candy. and a cave with a dragon!!! Word: “flumadiddle: utter nonsense.” Them packing for camping: “"Have you packed the ax, the portable basketball ring, totem-tennis pole and racquets, yo-yos, board games, books, comics, rocket boosters, kitchen sink, spare kitchen sink, and emergency replacement spare kitchen sink?" A camping trip with: “Edward scooper hands, Mary Lollipops, the trunkinator, the kind scarecrow, the three wise owls, pinchy McPhee (the crab), fancy fish, and the penguins.” I totally ship Edward and Mary. They are ADORABLE. The wise owls are treys favorite. They spit out random funny words. The scarecrow tells a story about a ghost of a ghost of a ghost… Fred the ghost saves them and leads the hobyas trying to get them into the dragon cave! And the dragon breathes fire on them and kills then haha. Fred is now a ghost of a ghost of a ghost of a ghost of a ghost. Then Mary and Edward get married!!! And have a honeymoon!!! So adorable. Terry has a pet flying Axolotl. And Trey knew what it was!! I had no idea it is a real thing. It’s a salamander type thing.
