A ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Series I cannot recommend highly enough! It’s one of those Series that I’d read and re-read, just like The Foundation of Asimov’s, or Childhood’s End by Arthur C. Clarke. Eric Warren is in the same category as my gigantic favourite classic authors.

Well written sci-fi

Well defined characters both alien and human. Plot twists and turns keep you reading. Heading for the next set of books.

The deeper into space they crew of the Tempest gets the more dangerous things become and it all begins when they reach Cypaxia, where Evie's desires for answers from her ailing father to a mystery buried within her family only ignites trauma Evie, Caspian and crew don't have them strength to handle as the terrifying 'Andromeda' aliens aren't done messing with them. After yet another assault by their haunting alien shadows, the Tempest is need of the most desperate aid; and unlikely source points them to his own species called Bulag. And while at first having an alliance seemed like a safe bet as the crew discover this species is a victim of the 'Andromeda' aliens- having lost their home planet to the ruthless creatures. When they truth comes out about the Bulag leader Diamant, the Tempest crew embrace determination and skill to the aliens off ship so they can flee deeper into the galaxy and much needed sanctuary. They could never imagine their shelter could come from the 'Andromeda' aliens own homeworld. An alien world they don't know anything about but desperation forces the crew to send waves of shuttles down with consequences none of the crew could see coming. And monstrous animals are just the beginning of the secrets this greenish worlds has to offer. The 'Andromeda' aliens are here and for Evie especially a harrowing encounter with one aliens becomes the stepping stones for her own past... but is she truly ready to embrace the truth? Escaping this bizarre world hands the crew that went down a startling reality that is welcomed and confusing as they soldier on: there's still a Coalition to protect and ensure it survives. This second box set containing Journey's Edge, Secrets Past and PlanetFall as the author Eric Warren takes the Tempest's adventure to a gritty, poignant edge. Highly recommended.
