I was born and raised in Leeds, West Yorkshire. Wanting to escape life in a big city and concentrate more on working to live than living to work, I moved to the Outer Hebrides in the north-west of Scotland in 2004 and I have lived there ever since with my wife and dogs.

I write post-apocalyptic, sci-fi, dystopian and horror fiction. I’ve released fifty one books across six different series - Safe Haven, The End of Everything, Unsafe, Relentless, The Burning Tree and Scares in Scotland.

In addition, most of my titles are now available as audiobooks narrated by Kim Bretton, so if you’re one of the many people who struggle to find the time to read, you can listen on the go.

Another great book.

Full of grit and hard core action. The characters are well thought out and engaging. Mr. Artinian writes with a passion that is clearly evident in his work. This book was well edited and easy to read, you never had to guess what the author was meaning. I would give it 10 stars if I could.

Loved this series. I have read one book per day and never was let down or have any slow points in the story to put you to sleep. This series is a must read if you love zombies.

One of my absolute favorite series of all times! I love these sisters so damn much! They are so amazing and kick ass! They are simply bad ass and the best.
The crap they get in to and find their way out of will blow your mind. Super smart and resourceful too.
Kim Bretton is my favorite female narrator. Can’t get enough of her!

The Bonds That Bind in a World Coming Apart (4/5 Stars)

So, you've made it to Book 5 of Christopher Artinian's The End of Everything series. If you're here, you're already invested in the brutal, zombie-ridden journey of sisters Wren and Robyn. You've watched them survive the initial outbreak, face cults, and battle the cold. By this point, you know the drill: this series is less about the novelty of the apocalypse and more about the relentless, character-driven fight to preserve humanity within it. Book 5 continues this strong tradition, focusing on the unbreakable bonds of family—both born and forged—as the primary weapon against a dying world.

While specific plot details for Book 5 are scarce, the trajectory of the series and reviews of later installments make the core appeal crystal clear. This isn't a series you read for shocking twists; you read it because you care fiercely about the people navigating the hellscape.

Key Themes
Found Family as Fortress: The central theme remains the powerful, almost primal, connection between Wren and Robyn. However, the series expertly expands this to include their "found family," like their loyal friend Mila. The story explores how these bonds create a fortress of sanity and strength. Protecting each other isn't just an emotional need; it's their key survival strategy.

The Moral Weight of Survival: As the sisters become more capable, they face harder choices. The books consistently ask: what lines do you cross to protect your own? Do you risk everything for strangers? This internal conflict adds a compelling layer to the external zombie threat.

Retaining Humanity: In a world that rewards brutality, the characters struggle to hold onto kindness, humor, and hope. The snarky dialogue and moments of compassion aren't just relief; they're acts of defiance. It’s a theme that asks if simply staying alive is enough, or if you must fight to stay human.

Character Analysis
By Book 5, the core trio is a well-oiled machine, but the friction is what makes them real.

Wren & Robyn: Their dynamic is the series' heartbeat. Wren is the pragmatic, strategic anchor, while Robyn's impulsiveness and fierce hope often drive the plot forward. Their arguments, loyalty, and love feel authentic. They are "not anybodies damsels in distress" but deeply capable young women whose resilience is earned through trauma.

The Supporting Cast: Characters like Mila and others they meet along the way are praised for adding depth. The series is notable for inclusively incorporating people with medical conditions and disabilities, showing a post-apocalyptic world where everyone must contribute.

The Antagonists: The threats evolve. While the zombies (or "Rams") are a constant, human antagonists—from petty tyrants to organized groups like the looming "Olsen's army"—provide complex, hate-worthy villains that challenge the protagonists' morals and strategies.

Writing Style & Pacing
Christopher Artinian's prose is direct, visceral, and propulsive. He doesn't get bogged down in overly flowery descriptions; the focus is on action, dialogue, and internal conflict. The tone masterfully balances moments of sheer terror and despair with the dark, sibling-focused humor that helps the characters (and the reader) cope.

The pacing is a major strength. Fans often describe the books as "mile a minute" adventures filled with action and near-death encounters. It's the kind of series that creates "just one more chapter" syndrome, with a plot that constantly raises the stakes.

What I Liked/Disliked
The Good:

Character Chemistry: The relationship between Wren, Robyn, and Mila is fantastic. Their snark, loyalty, and emotional meltdowns make you root for them unconditionally.

Consistent Quality: The series doesn't falter. Book 5 delivers the same tense, engaging survival-horror experience established from the start.

Real Stakes: Characters are not safe. The real threat of loss makes every victory meaningful and every danger tense.

The Less Good:

Formulaic at Times: The structure of "journey, encounter threat, overcome, repeat" can feel familiar by the fifth book. It's executed well, but it's a recognizable pattern.

Requires Investment: This is absolutely not a standalone. The emotional payoff relies entirely on your history with the characters from Books 1-4.

Predictable Arc: While the immediate threats are engaging, the larger series arc involving the villain Olsen can feel like a distant, looming endpoint that the story is steadily marching toward.

Conclusion & Recommendation
Final Verdict: 4 out of 5 stars. The End of Everything #5 is another solid, gripping entry in a consistently excellent series. It succeeds because it never loses sight of its core: compelling characters you love, fighting not just to live, but to live well together.

You should read this book if: You are invested in Wren and Robyn's journey from the previous books. It's perfect for fans of character-driven post-apocalyptic tales like The Walking Dead, where human dynamics are the true focus. If you love strong, believable relationships and tense survival action, this series remains a must-read.

You should NOT start the series here. This is the absolute worst possible entry point. Begin with Book 1.

Content Note: Contains graphic zombie violence, intense survival situations, and strong language.

If you're this far into the series, Book 5 will not disappoint. It's a testament to Artinian's skill that after five books, the fate of these sisters still feels urgent and vital. The journey toward the inevitable final confrontation continues, and I, for one, am along for the ride.

Chris Artinian has written a post apocalyptic world filled with zombies and other hazards. In this book, the sisters have joined a fledgling community. This community has many obstacles and risks to overcome. As each new danger is faced, the reader gets caught up in the non-stop action. I am enthralled with this series and can't wait to see what other predicaments the sisters face and how they manage to overcome them. I recommend this series to others who enjoy this genre. Kim Bretton's narration is amazing as she maintains the excitement and entertainment by her portrayal in this series. I was given a free copy of the audiobook and I have voluntarily left this review.

Unputdownable non stop page turner

OMG this series!!!! It's fantastic. A never ending roller-coaster. You can't turn the pages quick enough.
This author knows how to write amazing unputdownable stories. You're left on the edge of your seat and u just can't see what's going to happen. Lulled into a false sense of security til u turn the page? Sat on the edge of your seat, screaming Noooo.
I found this amazing author after reading The burning tree series it's also mindblowing! Then I got Safe Haven another superb series to then get The End Of Everything!
You need to read these books!

Its Always Something

Its a good story but I gotta say Wren and Robyn get too cocky sometimes. Yeah, they seem to be the only ones making it but only because they've been forced to be out there. They're starting to put their lives in Jeopardy for people who wouldn't do the same. First Matthew then the men from the Manor. Even Susan got into the blame game. It seems there's no safe place for them especially with TJ seeking revenge. Still I can't stop reading. What's next?

What could be worse than the undead?

Just when Seen and Robyn thought life was finally calming down, thinking they could
help build a better future for themselves and their friends, they realise that there's worse out there than the undead. They didn't know that some people could be so evil.

I adore this series and everything about it - well basically everything. It is going to end one day and I know I won't adore that. Everytime a book in this series or universe drops I'm like 'take my money Chris' as I adore it that much. Even though I write contemporary romance I still enjoy a good zombie/post apoc book - even better if it's a good series.

Wren and Robin continue their trek to try to find a little bit of peace and safety during the apocalypse. They unlike others never lose their humanity. The characters in this series are so wonderfully written.

Missions and Madness

The sisters are hunted by the gang of bandits while trying to help start a safe sustainable community with the remaining survivors. The obsession with capturing them by the leader of the scavengers continues as losses of good people begin to rack up.

The End of Everything: Book 5 by Christopher Artinian and narrated by Kim Bretton might be the best in the series- it’s full of action and wow, wow, wow! It’s really life or death for the sister’s this time around. Highly recommend if you’ve been following this series or if you’re looking to start a new one. I keep waiting to hear about a streaming service picking this up, shouldn’t be long...

What’s it about? Robyn and Wren are trying to make it in the new town, only not everybody agrees with the previous events causing tension and problems. Things come to a boiling point not long in with Fry and his cronies trying to be the top dogs but Robyn and Wren are a force to be reckoned with. There are heavy loses, pretty much non-stop action, emotional moments, sibling bonding/bickering/snark, and so much more. Even though this is the longest in the series, it flew by- I listened in one sitting. And a side note: I love this cover!

The narrator, Kim Bretton, was great once again. She nails these characters and absolutely adds to the series.

Parental guidance/trigger warnings: Without giving spoilers away- this is a harsh, post-apocalyptic world- death via zombies, death via people, weapons, struggling to survive, and like situations. Language used: Sx14.

This series just keeps getting better and better! Sisters Wren and Robyn continue to fight off hordes of the Undead while trying to protect their new community. Plenty of action (of course), plenty of sisterly snark, and the deaths of some beloved characters make this an emotional rollercoaster.

Mr. Artinian does an amazing job with character development and moves the story along at a fast pace. Of course, there is the obligatory group of villains that make life even more miserable than just fighting zombies! You would think that the sisters would get a break and have a chance to just be teenagers, but that isn't going to happen anytime soon.

After listening to this book, I feel like I have been in an exhausting fight for my life right along with Wren and Robyn. And, the author had me sobbing at the end. After a short break to relax after having my emotions wrung dry, I look forward to continuing this wonderful series.

The narrator, Kim Bretton, is perfect and her different voices for the characters and her pacing really adds a whole oterh dimension to my reading enjoyment. I was given the chance to listen to the audiobook version of this book by the author, but this in no way affects my opinion of the book.

This is a fantastic series. The Author and Narrator do a fantastic job at bringing this audio to fruition. I feel like I know the characters. This would also make an epic series for Netflix. When I start listening this audio has me on the edge of my seat wondering what's going to happen next and the author really does a great job at bringing out the scenes I definitely recommend this audio.

Everything Else Stops Once This Book Begins!
This book was amazing from the beginning and the real world disappeared once I started listening. I loved the way the girls faced impossible odds and used Wren's fire bug tendancies yet again to get out of a tight spot, the sisterly snark was as always hilarious. Kim Bretton was a joy to listen too as always. I can't wait for the next book, no matter how long it is, it will be worth it!
