I thought I was trying out to be the Zoric's newest model, but Luka was auditioning wives.
The last time I saw Luka Zoric, he left me stranded in his bed. This time, I'm the one holding the cards. He needs a bride, some good PR to redeem his playboy image. All I need is a contract to set my plan in motion. And a ring.
The sham arrangement fits right into my agenda. I wasn’t expecting to feel something for my fake husband. But maybe I'm getting sick of pretending.
Maybe I want to find something real. And just maybe, Luka does too.
I hope so. Because if he finds out what I've done, this sham falls into shambles. And I'm starting to think my heart will, too.
Stella Gray has always had her head in the clouds and has been writing since she was in high school. A contemporary romance author, she loves dark romances with morally gray men. When she’s not writing, she’s either in the kitchen testing out a new baking recipe or spending time in the great outdoors.
Three years ago when Luka first set eyes on Brooklyn he promised her an exclusive modeling contract just to get her into bed. Now with the marriage contract he’s done the exact same thing all over again. Brooklyn has worked hard to make the marriage work, to make them work, but Luka continues to lie. Brooklyn campaign’s herself in LA to look sexy with the help of Mateo. With her modeling career on the line she’s no longer interested in rebranding Luka’s image. With a failed marriage upon the horizon Brooklyn sets off to protect her image and rebuild her modeling career without the help of Luka.
Sebastian York and Elena Wolfe are back as the dynamic duo performing Brooklyn and Luka in this final book. I skipped book 2 delving straight into book 3. I’m actually only interested in listening to the both of them perform. I listened at 2X the speed using the audible app. These two narrators can bring any story to life. This was an easy listen. It was an unabridged audiobook which was convenient since I own the trilogy and had the opportunity to follow along.
Brooklyn and Luka had the type of push n’ pull relationship with jealousy, lies, mistrust, and miscommunication. This trilogy was based on the concept of rebranding the business image. While arranged marriages isn’t an original concept, Stella Gray made it her own by incorporating the modeling business and the effects of the scandalous activity of their fathers life had on their image. I thought it was an okay story. I’m not your average reader who gets invested in arranged marriage tropes. Stella wrote a convincing and compelling story. I appreciated the informative modeling wealthy lifestyle of the Zoric’s, but I must admit I wasn’t invested in it.
I really tried to like this book especially after coming after that disaster that is called the Arranged Series. This book was just about the same. It could not get pass “half of one star”. The characters (extremely young) not even mid-twenties had the background and speaking tone of people in late their thirties and forties. Someone should tell the author that young adults don’t sound that way. Even though the author tried to make the characters rather shallow and vapid, their tones were of older people. So the author constantly reminds the reader that the characters are in their early twenties. The author also skips or jump the story so it doesn’t flow very well. The plot is also extremely contrived. If the author had written the characters as they sounded, then the author would not need to waste time in reminding the reader that the characters were in their twenties every three pages. I am really trying to at least finish more than half the series, but its just not doing it for me and the longer I continue to read, the more I hate the books.
While I must first admit to not being a big fan of books that bring couples together only to separate them over and over again, I suppose it’s to be expected in an angsty romance trilogy such as this one. However, I do like Brooklyn and Luka’s characters quite a lot. I enjoyed seeing them grow into a strong relationship with each other. The push and pull of all the suspicions and animosity between them became a bit much at times though. This author is very thorough in her descriptions throughout these books from decor to thought processes. That also could be a bit much and I almost felt like I was experiencing an information overload several times. Because of that I believe their story could’ve played out in just a single book rather than a trilogy. It’s a long detailed read but overall a good story.
Overall this book was decent. Like 3.5 stars. I liked the storyline - its a typical read. I enjoyed the character development and the supporting characters. But for the love of god... so many things could have been avoided if they had just talked to each other! Just open your mouth and give a two sentence explanation. Also this author has potential but there’s definitely so growth needed for the writing of the story and some editing. I swear there’s one sentence that has “Luke” and then towards the end there’s weird nicknames “L” that aren’t used throughout the book. Other places it skips ahead without any flow. Overall not a bad read.
Overall quality of writing was really good. There were parts that just seemed to drag things out and the seemingly constant ups and downs were a wee bit frustrating. Every step forward for Brooklyn and Luca, there were two steps back. There's no cheating or cliffhanger, plenty of steamy intimacy scenes and a happy ever after. Stick with this story, you won't regret it. Enjoy 🤓
I absolutely loved Luca and Brooklyn's story. These two were meant to be together, this series will take you along for the ride of a lifetime to see where their journey takes them. Will they be able to overcome all the obstacles, secrets, and lies along the way?
While this 3 book series kept you wondering a bit, it could have been handled in one book. The very last chapter is the only one in which they really ended up fully connecting and in one chapter it was a full on HEA. Good grief, why did I waste my time wondering when it was actually going to happen!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The good The last few chapters started to redeem the series.
The bad My expectations..My favorite narrators generally don’t let me down. But they did this time
The ulgy This hot mess of a book.. I already wasted the credit so I went ahead and listened to the book but my gawd was it trash. immature, narcissistic selfish behavior and were supposed to fall in love?! Ugh
And they deserve each other. Back and forth they do worse and worse to each other. Didn't finish, I hope they enjoy their hate sex because that's all they have. Yuck.
I loved the story between Luka and Brooklyn. At times I wanted to strangle one or the other. Other times I just wanted to cry along with their unhappiness. I like living in the modeling world and catching up with the rest of the family.
I had to stop reading every time one thing or another got in the way of Brooklyn and Luka finding happiness. It took forever to finish it. Finally it ended the way I wanted it to but it took them long enough
The three books cover a lot of ground. I found the writing somewhat choppy and at times tedious. Are we angry at each other? When did they make up? Oh wait, they are fighting still? Or is it again?
I absolutely loved this series!! I was so emotionally involved with the main characters and I found myself tearing up and questioning their moves throughout the entire series!! Definitely a must read!!
I'm used to stories where the man comes of as somewhat of an ass, only to be shown later as a good guy. I got well past halfway in the book, and I just did not like Lija at all. I didn't finish the book.
I loved this drama filled story! Luka was such a man h*! And poor Brooklyn, to be lied to and used like that! But wow! The fireworks between those two! And of course, you know the writing is amazing!
I found this storyline was interesting. The story moved along nicely. Characters were fully developed and were mostly likeable. It's the perfect beach book.
This book was wow what can I say it has had me on my seat from beginning to end, not know what was going to happen next. An great book with a super story line
Although the characters are young (25 and 22) it's still really hard to read their childish behavior. Honestly I didn't feel the love or see the reason for them to stay together or try at all.
