Z dwanaściorga wojowników została połowa. Powoli staje się jasne, jakie pragnienia nimi kierują… Dochodzi do spotkania dwóch wojowników, którzy razem staliby się niepokonani: mistrza szermierki Byka i mistrza defensywy Konia. W międzyczasie podwładni Królika sieją na polu walki coraz większy zamęt.
So my zodiac may have a cool animal (in this set at least) but they still suck, as always. This was another okay volume, still formulaic but still entertaining enough.
Juni Taisen: Zodiac War Story and Art by Akira Akatsuki, Nisioisin & Hikaru Nakamura
Official Synopsis: Every twelve years, twelve fighters take the forms of the Chinese Zodiac and engage in a battle royale. With their strength and mysterious powers, they fight to the death and sole survivor is granted the ultimate prize-any wish. With half of the fighters down for the count, the Zodiac War rages on! Usagi, the fighter of the Rabbit, and his undead army continue to rampage across the battlefield, intent on destroying anyone who stands in their way. For an honorable fighter like Ox, Rabbit’s desecration of and complete disregard for human life is unacceptable. To obliterate this heretical army, Ox teams up with an unlikely ally—the drunkard, Tiger!
Genres: Horror, Action, & Chinese Zodiac Book Style: Manga (Japanese Comics - Read Right to Left)
I decided to read Juni Taisen: Zodiac War by Akira Akatsuki, Nisioisin & Hikaru Nakamura because I've read volumes 1-2 and wanted to see how the battel plays out from where I felt off. Once I started reading this book I was ready for the very insane, action packed and gory of a story! I really love how this story is written because you can't figure out what's gonna happen next; very unpredictable and shocking. Each Zodiac character has special abilities when it come to the fighting and each of them has an interesting backstory. I really love the art style because it's very clear to see, each character has a special design so you know which zodiac animal they are, and the action/gory scenes are incredible! It's better to not say too much about this book because it's better to read that way. I feel that The Fighter of the Rabbit: Usagi might be the strongest player in this war and I think The Fighter Of The Rat: Nezumi might be hiding something for this war for the next volume. I would recommend this book to horror fans because this give you plenty of it and the storyline is amazing! I can't wait to read the final volume to see how this epic battel ends!
Alliances are more reliable near the end, when only four fighters remain. Even though only one must emerge victorious, these temporary alliances are tactically sound. Also, butt-shots. You can't keep a good mangaka down. Fine, I'll bump it to three stars, I guess.
