Join a hot dog named Dog and a chicken nugget named Nugget as they save Yum Fest in this second book in the Level 2 Ready-to-Read Graphics series by Jason Tharp!
Nugget and Dog and everyone in Gastropolis are excited about Yum Fest. It’s the coolest fair around, with fun food and sweet rides, like the Cherry-Go-Round and Relish Wheel. But this year, a unicorn-puppy tries to spoil all the fun. Can Nugget and Dog use K.E.T.C.H.U.P.—their club that spreads kindness, empathy, and more—to save the day?
Ready-to-Read Graphics books give readers the perfect introduction to the graphic novel format with easy-to-follow panels, speech bubbles with accessible vocabulary, and sequential storytelling that is spot-on for beginning readers. There’s even a how-to guide for reading graphic novels at the beginning of each book.
Jason Tharp has dreamed of being an author and inventing crazy creatures since he was a kid. Being an obsessive daydreamer and doodler has led him to create many licensed properties, write books, and design clothing and various other products. Jason's story proves that with hard work, determination, and a sprinkle of magic, anything is possible. He lives in Columbus, Ohio, with his super-awesome wife and kids, plus one extremely fat kitty.
YUM FEST! Food! Friends! Rides! This book took me back to when I use to go to the Santa Clara County Fair when I was a child; all the fun things to see and do. Mom would always let us get steak sandwiches with grilled bell peppers and onions - still remember how good they were! Sorry to have digressed; this is a fun book with wonderful characters!
Graphic Novel Early Reader Level 2 Nugget and Dog are back for more adventures. This time they thwart Dijon's plans to ruin Yum Fest by turning sweet characters evil. They implement K.E.T.C.H.U.P to save others and return characters to their lovable selves. The artwork is fun to study and the humor comes through clearly. Lower to mid elementary level readers will appreciate the message and the humor.
