Ivy: I have showed up to Aidan West's door and he...doesn't remember a thing.
My mission just got infinitely worse.
Any hope of spontaneous recovery fades away to nonexistence.
I have to do this the hard way.
I have been tasked to "bring Aidan back."
But it's not that easy.
West is a bossy asshole and I am the most hopeless assistant to ever grace this planet. I would know--he tells me. He also threatens to fire me every five seconds while simultaneously asking me to stop wearing those short skirts. I refuse to, of course.
I am not easy, he is not easy -- we are a very dysfunctional couple, and while at times I want to cry, break down, walk away, sputter a curse and tell him to go f*ck himself, I know in my heart I must stay.
Because I can't give up on Aidan. He is the love of my life.
He needs me, even if he doesn't know it--remember it--yet.

I know Aiden is supposed to be a jerk here because he has amnesia and all, but I just can't take how mean he was to the heroine and the OW drama was just too much for my liking.

Would have much preferred the heroine having the amnesia and the Hero finding her in tangled with another man in the bed instead.

Sorry but just no.
I don't know how the heroine pushes through after witnessing that and still pursue the Hero when she isn't even sure if he's fking other OW.

I don't get why the heroine is always disadvantaged when it comes to scenes with other people or their sex life. Why must it always be the Hero that has someone pawing on them?
It's never the reversal.
For once, I would like to see many scenes of other men trying to get into the Heroine's panties instead.
I am so sick of it always being the other way round.

Heroines can be as hot as the Hero too ya know

Truly great writing with every emotion you can feel bursting from the pages.
We start off with Ivy showing up at West’s door and he doesn’t remember her at all. It is heartbreaking being in Ivys head. As the first ten percent progresses, ivy makes a promise to herself that regardless of whatever heartbreak is in store for her, she will not let Aidan down and help him find his way, even if it means she doesn’t get her HEA. that inner dialogue broke me because it spoke of her devastation and guilt for pushing Aidan away and it indirectly resulting in his crash.

We have evil Nina in the first quarter of the book, but she is barely a threat because Ivy takes care of her straightaway. I loved her backbone and that window into what she was like growing up. She was tough and took no shit. We quickly learn Aidan has no emotional attachment to Nina nor does he ever touch her or take her to bed. Which was a relief because Nina is a snake who manipulated him and encouraged his destruction once upon a time. I enjoyed seeing him “feel” the wrongness of her preeence in his life. I liked his dreams and how he was wary of trusting anyone and how he was hopeless for Ivy. His infatuation and possessiveness was burning my kindle.
The story progresses deliciously and becomes the hottest office back and forth relationship boss/employee dynamic.

Was very sad to reach the end of the book after spending so many hours with these characters. Idk what to read next now

There was just something I was missing with this 1, I was really excited to start reading it but Aidan being an A hole most of the time just got to much.

Disappointing

I barely give this book 2.5 stars but I absolutely love this author and everything else I've read from her is incredible. That actually made it more disappointing but I know she had some personal issues going on at the time of writing and releasing so I'm giving her a little grace. I have no problem with sex scenes but the amount of sex in these 2 books just ended up making it feel like filler. Every time they were alone it's all they did. No dates, romance, fun..just constantly screwing. It makes you wonder how they even really love each other. The bigger problem I had was I had flashbacks to 50 shades so many times while reading this book..a great book in my opinion, but I've already read it...calling her Ms Montcalm (which was not a name that seemed to fit her or roll off the tongue), the texts/emails back and forth, Sir, etc was just very reminiscent of Christian and Anastasia. Also, if a man ever calls me temptress, I'm doing a runner..it's extremely creepy and definitely not realistic. Men don't call women that, in my world at least.
Side note..this book needs editing badly!! There were so many mistakes throughout both books it was at times, distracting. Another thing that is not normal for this author.
I will read another book from her, but this one just did not measure up in my opinion.

finally, he whispers — i understand everything now.
— what do you understand? - i ask him.
— i understand how i could have fallen in love with you, ivy.
i smile at him. — how does that make you feel?
he eyes my lips. — like i want to do it again.

aidan&ivy’s story was lovely! 🥰 but this book kinda got me sad.

the first one was SO GOOD that i expected this one to be too…… but it’s hard for me to like an amnesia plot :(

why it was sad? he won’t remember. he can’t and that just reminded me “asher” from carian cole. ivy really wants him back but he’s got a whole new personality.

i don’t know… i felt like the end was a little bit rushed.
but it was nice :)

Oh my god

Ivy is finally ready to completely give herself over to Aidan and let him in, but he hasn’t replied any of her messages for months. It turns out he’s been in car crash and has retrograde amnesia. He doesn’t remember the last 3 years of his life…he doesn’t remember HER.

His childhood friend and business partner, Steven, convinces Ivy to go to Aidan and help him remember who he was. She is to be his new PA but she can’t tell him anything about their past. The doctors all recommend that he remember in his own (if he ever does), otherwise he may reject the truth and disbelieve everything he’s told.

So Ivy packs up everything and prepares for the most difficult battle of her life. Except when she gets there, she could never have anticipated just how difficult it was going to be. Aidan doesn’t recognise her at all. He doesn’t want or need a PA, and Nina parasite Hamilton is there having clawed her way back in to his life, apparently.

Aidan is lost, confused, angry, and ultimately lonely. He doesn’t know who to trust or believe, and the people he thought truly cared about him refuse to tell him anything about his life over the last 3 years. He is drawn to Ivy in a way he doesn’t understand, and the fragments of dreams he identifies as fractured memories seem to fit her from the moment she walks into his life. But she, too, is tight lipped. Refuses to tell him anything about their shares history, keeps trying to deny that they even knew each other before. And yet Aidan knows she’s lying. He can feel it. Feel her.

Will he ever get his memories back? Will Ivy ever get her Aidan back - the one who looks at her so lovingly, rather than this new Aidan that looks at her with suspicion and treats her like dirt?

Gaaaahhhh I love this duet! Once the real Aidan starts to crack through the hardened exterior, you’re reminded of just how wonderful he was in the first book. And poor, suffering Ivy. I can’t even imagine having to go through everything she did. Thinking he was with Nina, and possibly countless other women. Putting up with her “living” arrangements. Dealing with his constant mood swings and disgraceful treatment of her. Two very lonely people, weighed down by many burdens, trying to find their way back to each other - even if one of them didn’t know it.

I loved Sir just as much as I loved the previous book but it is a very different story to Mister West. Gone is the loveable jerk that was Aidan West and in his place is a confused, tortured man locked inside his own head. Lonely and lost, he’s angry with the world and himself.

Ivy had a lot of stuff to put up with to say the least and I admired her steely resolve. I’m not sure I would’ve coped with things as well as she did. I could’ve cheerfully slapped Aidan on a number of occasions, although I couldn’t completely dislike him. I think it helped that as readers we got to “hear” his thought processes and feel his struggles and that did make me feel some sympathy towards him. It took me a while to realise that the situations and behaviour Ivy put up with didn’t make her weak, but instead showed her strength and resilience. Aidan’s actions were not those of a man deliberately trying to hurt the woman he was in love with. The fact was that he was the love of Ivy’s life and she needed to try everything she could to bring him back. Ivy’s friendship with Alex helped her keep some semblance of sanity too. It gave her a certain amount of light relief and a break from the often frustrating situations she had to deal with. I felt it helped prevent her from losing her mind completely. That said, she still had her work cut out for her that’s for sure. At the end of the day, I really hoped that this couple would find a way to be together, to find happiness with each other and create a new normal after everything they both had been through.

Sir is a passionate, intense and emotional read, with plenty of hot and steamy moments. I really didn’t want it to end.

Not a fan of the amnesia angle in books but I went ahead and read anyways because I did enjoy the first. This one definitely dragged. Had I known this is the turn it was going to take I definitely wouldn’t have bothered. I also dislike when authors heavily use music in their books (and I know I may the only weirdo on here who thinks like this) I’m all for using music as your inspiration! And can appreciate what it brings out in the story, but when you set every scene with a song, I think it becomes weird. Just include a playlist in your foreword and let the readers figure it out on their own. I don’t need a play by play of what song the h is playing when she’s horny. Loved Aiden as a character but don’t love the angst of it all, I was expecting a quicker happier ending and we didn’t get that until like 90%.

slow burn book two of the Mister west duet

Could you make someone fall in love with you again? Without them knowing your history, without being able to tell them they are the love of your life? That’s the mountain Ivy has to climb with Aidan. There are lots of emotions that Ivy goes through because not only does she need to make Aidan fall in love again but she has to make the reckless A-hole of the east fall in love. It’s a good story I enjoyed it. Is it as good as previous from this author I would just say it’s different it’s not the whirlwind dark stories that I’ve come to love or expect. Still liked it and you will too if you enjoy slow burns. This instalment of the duet is much more filled with spice.

Whew! Mind (and Heart) Blown

What a finale. This picks up immediately where book 1 ended, with Aidan not recognizing Ivy (by sight) but the heart knows. Ivy is acting as his assistant who knows nothing and Aidan is a hard a$$. They battle verbally, are jealous of each other but the more they spend time together, the more Aidan starts to recognize his soul mate.

Aidan had me in pieces, he's so beautiful and tender, fierce and possessive. This is one of my favorite book boyfriends because he was everything. Their love was so palpable I could feel it. Dang I'm going to miss him

⭐️3.8⭐️ I was seriously hesitating about reading the follow up in this series. I did not enjoy the first novel at all, but was curious about the amnesia plot line. I must say, I’m glad I did. What a difference! This story was much more cohesive and flowed better in my opinion. I can’t say all of the problems with the characters were resolved, specifically the h, whom I never much liked. BUT, this time around I definitely sympathized with her journey much more.

A forgetful romance sorry about the pun

Part two of Aiden and ivys love story. It's patient and funny in places, it flows well and there's plenty of sex scenes to add some spice. For me however it was about the story, I liked it. It was sweet and endearing with good characters and dialogue. The sir but was a little repetitive but that's their thing.
Definitely worth a look for a bit of an escape.

Love love love it!

I'm so in love with their story! I wish there were 3 books instead of 2 so I can have another book to read of them. I hope you wrote about Ana and Alex next. They seemed to have a story of their own. If you do I can't wait to read it. I love all your books so please don't stop writing!

Steamy love story

This is an amnesia story of a love story of soul mates. When ivy shows up she find Aiden is so not himself. Can Ivy touch his soul and bring him back to the love story that stopped ever since his car accident?
Good story and a bit too steamy.

My goodness. Such an emotional journey this story has been. I've fallen so in love with thr characters that I was sad to see it end. Ugh that's what R. J Lewis does. She creates these beings you don't want to live without. I know I will reread this over and over again.
