Matria is one of those tiny countries you may have heard about from time to time. Yes, this tiny nation has a beautiful lake, forests, and several ancient castles. More importantly, this is a country where women are completely in charge. In fact, slavery is alive and well here. Fortunately for the females of this country, only men can be owned. Yes, a few men might visit the nation, but they are incredibly rare. Daniel Donovan is about to become one of these men. He’s a photographer, and he wants to document this incredible country. Legally designated a Wild Male, he will have just a couple of weeks to get his photographs and get out. If he stays past that two week mark, he will be eligible for enslavement. Any woman will literally be able to collar him and claim him as her own. Still, Daniel has traveled all across the planet, so he thinks he can handle it. He has visited many dangerous countries all over the world, so Matria should be easy despite his time limit. But there is something he doesn’t anticipate. This a strange country, one where it may be more difficult to leave than he ever imagined. And if he can’t escape, he will be captured. He will meet beautiful women, any one of whom might enjoy keeping him for herself. There’s Kayla, a sweet travel agent who would love to see this boy on his knees. An aristocrat, Amanda Amata, could lock him in chastity. Then there is Lady Renata, a woman who would love to see this man decked out in pony gear and paraded around in front of potential buyers… Daniel Donovan has no idea what this land is really like. But he’s about to find out. This 27,000 word novella features extensive female supremacy and domination, bondage, male subjugation, elements of chastity training, light pony play, and more. Story concept and the ideas of the book are good. Scenes are properly made. Characterization of the main character is handled nicely. But there is kind of a major problem how the important parts of the story unfolded. The drama story built had no excitement at all. Secondary characters felt entirely random and had no real importance for us. In simpler words it's a good and readable Femdom Erotica. But it's far from being a masterpiece.

This is the best of Ms. Ritter's works that I've read so far. It's well written, unexpectedly and authentically suspenseful, fairly well edited, and Ms. Ritter is adept with dialog. There are technical issues but not enough to fret over. The author captured my attention and her writing kept me in the story. It's not a typical HEA (Happily Ever After) ending, but in the context of a premise like this, where men have no choice but to be taken as slaves, it does feel relatively happy compared to several worse alternate fates that were presented.
I will read more of Anna Ritter's stuff. Well done!

It's pretty nice novel. Author also trу to describe psychological aspects. Amazing episode when someone mentioned that women specially lured their boyfriends here, to the place where they would have them under their thumb.
That leave possibility of sequel, that I will also read with pleasure. By the way, it can continue Dan's advantures - is he really got lucky ticket (as he think), or after couple of weeks here change his mind? Though, one way or the other, it seems that Dan can't prevent his new Mistress from anything what she intend to do with him, even if she wants to make changes to his body.

Excellent short story, entirely plausible, just wish it had been longer. Made my list of one of the best Femdom stories I've had the pleasure of reading.
Not sure why Goodreads recommended it based on my Keyholder shelf??? But I'm definitely glad it did.

This was a great story and a very good erotic book. There were only a few characters which made it even better
