A fun, light read.

An unexpected hook up. An even more unexpected pregnancy. Kate and Oliver must now navigate if and how to fit each other into their lives. Oliver is all in from the beginning, but Kate is much more hesitant, given she has not gotten over the death of her fiancé 3 years earlier. Great characters and great character development. The anticipation of the HEA is worth the journey. The third in a series, but good as a stand alone story. Just what I needed right now.

This was a freebie on Amazon. Definitely part of a series (#3). This story revolves around one of the previous heroine's wedding which our heroine is a bridesmaid.

So Kate & Oliver hooked up 3 months ago & Kate left before Oliver could get her name or any other info. There was alcohol involved (Bachelorette party) & they have unprotected sex.

3 weeks before the wedding Kate discovers she's pregnant & has no idea what the father to be name even is. By random coincidence he's at the wedding as a guest & sees her. Hoping to have another sex fest, he says hi. She takes a while to fess up to her pregnancy, but finally does it before the reception's over.

There's some drama. Kate has issues & it takes her a while to really open up to Oliver. She breaks his heart. There is a satisfying HEA.

So, I liked this story, but not sure if I want to go on with the series. Nichole (who is the bride in this story) seems high maintenance.

Pushed through to about 66% and couldn't anymore. Too much going on and on about a former, albeit dead fiancé (who apparently was the love of the heroine's life). I was honestly afraid to read more because I didn't want to end up reading that the baby was a boy and she decided to name it after the dead fiancé.

Men, Take Notes: Accidental Pregnancy and He Goes All In

My favorite quotes:

I loved this book. An out of character hook up leads to an unexpected pregnancy for Kate. Things are complicated. Her fiancé died, she’s a bridesmaid in her friend’s wedding and she doesn’t remember the name of the guy she hooked up with. Oliver can’t believe the woman he hasn’t been able to stop thinking about is in the wedding party of his business clients wedding. He wants a repeat of that great night and is shocked to find out he’s going to be a father. He’s willing to step up and wants a chance with Kate. Can he convince her to take a chance on love again.

Kate and Oliver. A broken woman who fears love after her fiance died. A player who specialized in hookups and casual sex. They meet, hookup and spend an amazing night together but do not exchange numbers.

A few weeks later, Kate realizes she is pregnant. When she sees Oliver at a wedding, she tells him about the baby. And you need to read the book to find out what happens.

Did I like the book? Yes. Would I recommend it? Certainly. It could have used another line edit but then I am unusually picky about grammar and syntax.

Feelings of loss and surprise and fear and -- of course -- falling head over heels in love!
Kate and Oliver are so lucky to have found one another! First while under the influence, then later stone sober - and pregnant! Being with these two while they navigate the sincerely stressful waters of an accidental pregnancy was such a privilege! Love their own doubts and confidences and raw, realistic whirlwind romance!

Love at first romp

Sometimes when I read a storyline that I can tell immediately if I am going to like a character or not. For some reason, not related to any known connection between my life and theirs, I immediately liked Kate and Oliver. My frustration at Kate's wishy washy treatment of Oliver, and my appreciation of Oliver's romantic awakening kept me vested in their story. The ending was too soon.

Great secret baby story!!!

Love is hard enough when you know each other! Throw in a one night stand and a baby and sparks fly. Oliver is not only hot, but he’s sweet, thoughtful, and crazy about Kate. I love how he keeps trying to take care of her. Swooney, for sure, and a must read!

Delightful!

A happy and uplifting story full of poignancy and warmth.
A likeable cast of family and friends with (thank goodness) no dysfuntion in site.
The main character arc was the two stars who have to grow and change to be able to embrace their feelings.

So was it faulty protection or a complete lack of protection?? I'm glad that honesty reigns supreme between Oliver and Kate even though either could have easily lied in dozens of ways. Oliver's calm when Kate tells him about the pregnancy endeared him to me more than almost anything else he could have done.

Two people who were reluctant to admit their true feelings -he had been a player -she had been mourning Ben who had died before they could get married . Unfortunately she had a one night stand with Oliver and got pregnant and when seeing him again told him and was willing to let him off the hook but he wanted to gain her trust . Was a good read .
