Christine Pope

A native of Southern California, Christine Pope has been writing stories ever since she commandeered her family’s Smith-Corona typewriter back in the sixth grade. Many reams of dead trees later, she’s happy to announce that her debut novel, Fringe Benefits, was published by Pink Petal Books on April 8, 2010. Her short fiction has appeared in Astonishing Adventures, Luna Station Quarterly, and the new journal of dark fiction, Dark Valentine. Her paranormal novella, Playing With Fire, was released on August 5, 2010.

While Fringe Benefits is a straight contemporary romance, she writes in a variety of genres, including paranormal romance, fantasy, horror, science fiction, and historical romance. She blames this on being easily distracted by bright, shiny objects, which could also account for the size of her shoe collection.

After spending many years in the magazine publishing industry, she now works as a freelance editor in addition to writing fiction. She lives with her husband and an explosively fluffy Pomeranian mix. Her house is pink, but don’t hold that against her.

Entertaining fantasy listening 🎶🔰

I picked this box 📦 set up three years ago. I am now trying to clean up my kindle fire 🔥. Ha Ha what a losing battle!

There are five novels in the box 📦 s. Two I had already read or listened 🎶 to. Each story is different with interesting well developed characters lots of action and misdirection leading to each conclusion. As w with box 📦 sets you will like some better than others but that is normal and personal. I would recommend this box 📦 set to 👍 readers of paranormal supernatural Steampunk fantasy mystery novels 👍. Please note that each novel is book one in a series. I will not be listening 🎶 to any of these series as they are free or part of Kindle Unlimited. 2023 👒😀💘🏡

Awesome!

I have really enjoyed this set. The title says it is 5 novels, but I actually have the box set that has 10 novels. I am looking forward to being able to read the rest of the series for each of the 10 of the novels I was able to read in this box set. I honestly have never read any of the authors included in this set, but I am glad that I finally have and look forward to reading more of their books. I would recommend this box set to anyone looking for new authors and to anyone who enjoys the supernatural.

What a brilliant selection of books!

I hadn’t read any of these authors prior to reading this collection of the first book in each series . It was such a good way to try out new authors. I loved 3 of the books so much that I went on to buy and read the rest of the series immediately. I will continue with a fourth series at a later date.

My copy of the collection had 6 stories. I'd already read bks 2-6 in 2021 and rated 3x4 stars plus 2x3 stars. I'll add bk 1 as 4 stars. It's a range of supernaturals - past gods and present creatures.

Generally a good collection of stories

5 Excellent stories - which I noted individually as read. Going to follow up with the authors I met in this book to read more from them. This was a great freebie. Each of the novels are #1 in a series and they hooked me.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This set delivers a potent mix of dark magic, thrilling adventure, and steamy romance, perfect for fans of paranormal tales with edgy, supernatural elements. From apocalyptic fevers and Norse tricksters to ancient Egyptian gods and necromancers, the stories span a range of mythologies and magical systems, offering something fresh and exciting in each novel.

Highlights include the gripping survival tale in Chosen by Christine Pope, and Hidden Blade by Pippa DaCosta, which entwines private investigation with ancient deities, while The Last Necromancer offers a compelling heroine grappling with dark powers. The historical fantasy of Nefertiti’s Heart adds a steampunk flair, broadening the set’s appeal.

While it might lean toward the darker, more intense side of paranormal romance, the blend of adventure and romance keeps the pages turning. Ideal for readers who want their magic a little wicked and their heroes complicated.
