SEBASTIAN Man, Kate is the definition of cat lady. She’s all work and no play, the stick up her peachy ass is lodged so far up there, she’s the star of her own muppet show. Somehow, my baby sister’s landed me a starring role. Now that we’re stuck together, I’m determined to put the fun into Kate. It’s just too bad her sense of humor sucks harder than she does. But I’m a patient guy, if I can crack code, I can crack her. And I’ll take all the pleasure in it.
She can deny it all she wants, but I know she loves me and my jokes.
KATE Sebastian doesn't take anything seriously. Life is one big dick joke to him. So when Amelia, his sister and my best friend, tells me we will be working together on an upcoming pitch... not amused. He loves to rattle me. Everything he does drives me crazy.
He might think I love him, but I just love to hate him.

The Sweet Vine universe is back and this time with an enemies to lovers trope. I’d already met the two main characters Kate and Sebastian in the previous book Love 2 Jingle U so I was excited to get their story. Especially because I’m a fan of the enemies trope. Kate and Sebastian gave me all the push and pull game I could ever imagine. Teasing one another with hilarious jokes and gags. Trying to beat one another at that game was so much fun and also showed some sizzling chemistry. Their story was both fun but definitely also filled with emotion because of the journey they embark upon together.
Amelia and Adam made appearances as well and I enjoyed that cause they’re important to Kate and Sebastian. They’re family! Two guys Parker and Harrison who are friends of Sebastian were introduced and especially Parker caught my attention. I’m hoping he’ll get his own story cause that trope of his is also a favorite of mine.
This writing duo Alexandra Silva and Sophie Blue have written a fabulous romantic comedy and it’s a great addition to the Sweet Vine series.
Oh my, this book was so much fun and tears (from laughing and crying) and emotions. Absolutely great. I already love everything Alexandra Silva writes and this co-writing project with Sophie Blue (who is a new author to me) is more than perfect. The two authors complement each other so well. It's a pleasure to read their stories.
Love 2 Hate U is book two in the Sweet Vine Romance series and you don't have to read book one but I really recommend it, because it's another amazing book. We already know Sebastian and Kate from Love 2 Jingle U, so introduction is non-essential, and therefore I keep it short.
Kate is Amelia's best friend and her partner at Sweet Vine, she's single and after her cancelled wedding, she's not looking for a new man in her life. Sebastian is Amelia's brother and he's a man-child. And that's the reason why Kate can't stand him. Actually they both can't stand each other (at first). Sebastian thinks Kate is boring and uptight. He always tries to rile her up. But Kate doesn't like his jokes and tries to keep her distance.
A love-hate-relationship at its best. They poke and prod, their banter is so much fun and the underlying tension between these two characters is sizzling hot. This book has everything an entertaining story needs. Wonderful characters, humor, a beautifully evolving love story and an amazing happy end.
I love love loved this book. Seb is everything. Kate is everything. Together they are everything and some. It was great catching up with Amelia and Adam. I really hope Parker gets a book cause I think his will be explosive These two separately are great but together, they are everything...just like Seb and Kate.
This book is an enemies to lovers romcom, one of my favorites. The chemistry and pull Seb and Kate have suck you in. Then the banter and innuendo have you smiling and enjoying there story. Another fun, all consuming romcom from this duo.
This was such a treat! Sophie & Alex have become one of my favourite duo’s to read! Love 2 Hate U did not disappoint!
This was such a swoony and fun yet kind of emotional read. It was an enemies-to-lovers rom-com. Rom-com's are not normally my kind of thing but every so often I will come across one I thoroughly enjoy and this one is it! Sophie Blue & Alexandra have become an automatic one-click duo for me now. After reading Love 2 Jingle U (Book 1), I knew I would love Sebastian and Kate's story and I am a sucker for enemies to lovers.
This had everything. Heat, laughter, that push and pull between the Hero and the Heroine that I crave so much... It even had a few emotional scenes that had me misting up a little.
If you want laughter, passion and swoon-worthly moments. This is the book for you!
It's a MUST READ!
I can't wait to see what else these two have up their sleeve.
This enemies to lovers romcom has everything in it. This couple poke and prod each other in very annoying ways but it never turns hurtful. Seb (Sebastian) is one hero it is too easy to dislike from the start. He is immature, piggish, and is lack of care or consideration a complete turnoff. Until I warmed to him I was with Kate in understanding that he thought he was a lot funnier and entertaining than he was. The authors did a fantastic job of allowing me to understand why and how much Kate would dislike him. Kate on the other hand I found to be completely relatable and lovey. Perfect, no, but I got her in a way that any slight imperfections I breezed over as if they did not exist. Their chemistry is undeniable and the steam…hot! When they get together it is fun and it is fire! Without giving anything away I thought I had my head wrapped around the story and knew where it was going when another unexpected bomb gets dropped into the drama pool. Certain things ended up being a bigger deal than I thought while others less so. Characters didn’t act as I expected but still in a way that made total sense to their character and helped me find depth in them that I didn’t see at first. Eventually of course I come around to love Seb. I saw his own personal growth (which I actually think he was eager for) and I love that he brings out Kate’s light, fun, and naughty side. Plus, he becomes HER person…her ride or die in addition to her best friend Amelia who also happens to be his sister. We all want that in a partner, don’t we? Someone who puts us at the top of their list. It’s a bit of a trek to the HEA but so so well worth it! There is a fair amount about Parker in this book so I will be keeping an eye out for his book and Harrison too as I have deemed him my favorite.
Kate and Seb don't like each other, they put up with each other for Amelia's sake (his sister, her best friend and business partner). They're forced to work with each other at Amelia's request and their "enemy banter" escalates... They're both hot for each other and too proud to admit it, but working so closely together they're unable to fan the flames. And of course consequences force them to examine their feelings for one other A LOT more closely in the end.
Love 2 H U by Sophie Blue and Alexandra Solva is a stand-alone romantic comedy. Kate is a driven, successful, event planner, just moved from the UK to LA. She's loyal to her best friend and business partner, Amelia. And she strongly dislikes Seb, her brother. He drives her up the wall. Sebastian loves to riddle prim and proper Kate. The immature man child, geeky, smart nerd wants her to loosen up. When both have to work together, yes trouble is programmed. L2HU checked a lot of my boxes. Enemies-to-Lovers, check; Great writing, check; Entertaining storyline, check; Plottwists that kept me in suspense, doublecheck. A great read, 4 sweet stars.
Seb and Kat's love hate relationship really pulls you in. Seb cracks me up with his immaturity and sexual innuendos but Kat doesn't want any part of it. Their story pulled me in hook, line and sinker. I couldn't put it down! I loved the character's chemistry and ending! Another great read!
I absolutely adored this book by Sophie Blue and Alexandra Silva. I laughed, I swooned and I even shed a tear. My emotions were all over the place and I can’t rave enough about Sebastian and Kate. They have amazing chemistry and their journey is one not to be missed! It was great seeing Amelia and Adam and I adored the secondary characters. Sebastian’s friends intrigue me and I can’t wait to see if they get their story. This writing duo delivered another great book and have shown me that their writing is seamless and mesh well together! A must read!
I’d like to thank Bare Naked Words for sending me an e-arc of this book it is very much appreciated. I have never heard of these two authors but I choose to review this book because I loved the sound of the blurb and enemies to lovers I’m there. I love a good enemies to lovers and this one certainly didn’t disappoint.
This story focuses on Kate and Sebastian as they are forced to work together after Amelia, Kate’s best friend and Sebastian’s sister, realises that she can’t keep up her work load whilst pregnant. As you can imagine a million sparks fly and it is so good!
Kate is trying to protect her heart after her ex fiancé decided to tell her he’d been sleeping with a man. Since then she’s concentrated on working and steering clear of the dating scene. She’s a very structured person and likes to follow routine and have everything as perfect as possible which as an event planner you need to be.
Sebastian is hilarious, he likes to play jokes and annoy Kate at every possible moment. He does everything possible when it comes to his sister and is always willing to do be there for her. He’s a great friend to his friends. He’s also very geeky and nerdy and I love it!
Amelia I feel deserves a mention even though she’s a side character. (I have found out she has her own book which I’m going to go read because I am attached to these people.) I really liked Amelia and how much she was willing to push Kate to get back on the dating horse. She loves her brother and her best friend and tries everything to get them to get on. One thing I did love about Amelia is that she wasn’t mad or anything when she finds out about Sebastian and Kate being together.
Sebastian and Kate their relationship was full of fire, sexual tension and attraction and some hilarious banter. I loved the whole aspect of enemies to lovers between these two, Kate finds Sebastian unbearable and annoying and he gets under her skin, where Sebastian finds it amusing to get under her skin. I love how although they are arguing with each other and hating you can see the attraction between them. Honestly their first kiss was so sexy and full of passion which describes the whole of their relationship. The way Kate pushes Sebastian away and Sebastian pushes for them to be together.
I fell in love with these two fast and I am very attached to these two and I just love them. I think they could possibly be my new favourite couple. Just their whole journey as a couple and throughout this book is amazing and when the thing happened and how supportive instantly Sebastian was I loved it. I was very happy. It was nice that the roles were reversed for freaking out. <—- This is me not trying to spoil it.
I love how we saw the shift from both of these characters when they started to love each other rather than hate each other and I loved that we could clearly see that. Also the way Sebastian would defend Kate when it came to Amelia I loved.
The authors definitely know how to write their sex scenes there was very sexy, hot and honestly so good. The authors writing in general I really loved the way they wrote this story definitely hit me in the feels certain times.
Preston. The boy deserves a mention I love him and I honestly cannot wait for his story. This is going to be a series that I carry on reading because I am certainly hooked with these authors.
After reading A Discovery of Witches this was definitely what I didn’t realise I needed to read. I loved it so much.
Love 2 Hate U is a wonderfully funny enemies to lovers romcom! Kate and Sebastian have been at odds for as long as they can remember. She may have picked her best friend but she can do without her brother! Yes he infuriates her, irritates and aggravates Kate but she feels a strange pull to him. Seb oh how he loves to rile up the pent up Kate but he can't stay away. They have fabulously funnt banter, great chemistry and a wonderful supporting cast! Get ready to laugh, cry and enjoy the ride with Kate and Seb. Michele McMullen
LOVE 2 HATE U was such a heartwarming, comedic read. Having not read either author of these two authors before, I can honestly say that their writing was like a breath of fresh air. Mixing comedy, drama, angst, and romance, this story was unputdownable, capturing me from the very first chapter. Admittedly, I held my breath quite a few times as my emotions were tested through some of the twists that were thrown in.
"No matter how hard I've tried, I can't hate you."
Having moved from the U.K. to L.A., Katherine 'Kat' Clark has joined her best friend, Amelia, in running their successful event planning business. Kat is work driven, relentless, and very stoic in her ways. She's also attempting to recover from a broken heart by putting herself out there and dating again. However, there is one man who has become the bane of her existence, testing her at every turn. A man she dislikes with every bone in her body. Unfortunately, he's also her best friend's older brother ... Sebastian Harding.
"Hate me all you like, you've always loved me more." "Always."
I loved Seb from the moment I met him. Yes he was immature and childlike, the King of sexual innuendos, but that's why I loved him ... his hunour just appealed to me. Successful in his own right, Seb owns his own Tech business, so at times he's a bit of a nerd, albeit a very sexy one. Constantly going out of his way to rile Kat, he soon realises that she's beginning to mean more to him than he expected.
"There's never been anyone like her. There'll never be anyone but her. She's my life. My heart. My soul. My entire existence."
An enemies to lovers, slowburn, romantic comedy that had me laughing one minute and getting angry the next. Kat and Seb were simply perfect, her with "a stick up her ass attitude" and he with his childlike antics. The chemistry between them couldn't be denied, it was scorching hot, their banter was both hilarious and thought provoking. To see two people, who were initially enemies, evolve and move through various stages of their friendship/relationship to find what neither expected to find, was really heartwarming. I loved the way in which Seb's protection and adoration of Kat grew, it was panty melting. He truly became a swoonworthy man.
"There's so much I want to do with you, and I know that things are going to get hard, but I will always fight harder to keep you."
An emotional and touching read. I'll definitely be looking for more by these two authors. Now to go back and read Amelia and Adam's story in Love 2 Jingle U.
Holy mackerel! Kate and Sebastian’s story is not at all what I expected, it wasn’t the light and LOL hilarious read I was expecting but it shows what a great duo Sophie Blue and Alexandra Silva make. Love 2 Hate U takes on a way different tone from Love 2 Jingle U (Amelia & Adam’s story). Where did that angst come from! Sebastian and Kate are so polar opposites that there was bound to be personality clashes and boy did they clash!!
I feel like I’m more like Kate than I care to admit and Sebastian did wind me up something terrible with his overgrown man child antics and no shortage of d*ck jokes- looking back it was so cheesy (ha! Yes, pun intended lol). I really do have to laugh- seriously dude *major eye roll*. Kate didn’t back down and matched him and bested him a time or two. I felt like was in a RomCom movie with their practical jokes.
Both Sebastian and Kate grew a lot and they found a happy medium amongst all the chaos that wasn’t really their own drama. When it was hot, it was scorching hot! I especially loved the sweet swoon worthy moments shared. Being the loyal people that they both are to their friends and Sebastian especially to his baby sister it impacted their relationship- good and bad. I loved the boys (aka hot AF men) and their banter. I’m rooting so hard for Parker to get a book next and his HEA- yes, Harrison too, but I think my bestie has her eyes on him so I’ll back off- maybe 😏 I felt that there could have been a better balance with the pacing and a smoother flow in some parts, and maybe less of the heavy external friends' drama weaving it’s way into their story. I’m loving the level of writing that Sophie & Alex are bringing with their Sweet Vine brand and injecting their authentic Brit slang. A must-read for lovers of an all-rounded romance and a series you don’t want to miss.
Love 2 Hate U Written by: Sophie Blue & Alexandra Silva
This enemies to lovers story is about Sebastian and Kate and my goodness these two don’t seem to like each other at all!
Kate is partners with Amelia (Sebastian’s sister) running an event company in L. A. Amelia recently married Adam and about to deliver their little bundle of joy. Kate and Amelia have been friends for a while and their business is thriving. The one thing that is very evident is that Kate has no time for Sebastian and his “crazy antics” or his overtly sexual humor. Sebastian on the other hand has all the time to bother Kate, he knows he gets to her and he has made it his mission to continue to drive her crazy. Oh did I mention, Kate thinks he is a real dick.
The humor that often drives Sebastian’s unwanted texts and whispered innuendo’s make you chuckle while reading this story, and for the most part he keeps it up throughout the book.
As they spend more time together though, they seem to settle into a quasi friendship, which is wonderful they are beginning to tolerate each other. However, slowly but surely the friendship turns into nights of hot, steamy, combustible sex and so it seems that tolerance just might have been an underlying attraction to each other that neither one would willingly admit to.
Kate and Sebastian are both people who have loved previously and been left so seeing their slow lowering of walls built strong and high is interesting to see, but when those walls tumble you see their real selves. The problem is walls may tumble but it doesn’t take much to build them up again.
Authors Blue and Silva take readers through a myriad of emotions with these two. Trust must be built and honesty is critical, but life happens, an unplanned event occurs which will change the lives of both characters and when trust is questioned it leads to events that make both of them realize they can be a couple as long as they communicate and rebuild their trust with each other.
Not having read anything before from either of these co-authors I found this book enjoyable and witty. The authors did a wonderful job keeping this couple together when there was always a chance they may just fall apart.
When these two authors team up it really is magic on the page and you find yourself hooked on reading a book until looooong past when you were supposed to be catching zzzzz’s. I love the light hearted nature of this series and how they manage to create characters/situations that are both realistic and entertaining....
Seb and Kat are 🔥🔥🔥🔥 The chemistry between them is off the charts and Seb is ..... lots of these 🔥🔥🔥. I love the enemies to lovers trope and I really think that this book nailed it. Seb is the brother of Kat’s best friend - an immature and completely obnoxious person that she would be happy never to spend time with again. In Seb’s eyes, Kat is waaaay too uptight and wouldn’t know a good time if it hit her in the face.... so when an opportunity arises to watch her deal with a situation that is less than “uptight” he decides to take it! Little did these two realise, the thin line between love and hate is a lot thinner than they thought and soon fireworks are exploding.... with the little help of a push pop 🤪😉
There’s a good dose of humour, friendship, drama and the story takes a few twists and turns that I enjoyed and kept me turning the pages to find out if these two could get their happy ending! If you’re a lover of romance, you want to read this series! Can’t wait for what these two authors come up with next.
I loved book one, Love 2 Jingle U, so was excited to hear that another book was being released. Holy moly this opposites attract, well sort of, story is fabulous.
Sebastian Harding and Katherine Clark really do have a love/hate relationship, they bicker nonstop and the pranks Seb pulls intensify as the story goes on. It’s not the only thing to intensify though. 😉
I have to say straight off though, I thoroughly enjoyed Sebastian’s cheeky character. He does show he has a lot more depth to his character though, which is good. Katie is such a strong, sassy character and so easy to like too. Together they are great and their chemistry is like red hot roaring flames of fire.
The sense of humour in this book is top notch and there are so many scenes where I literally laughed out loud because of the fun banter, sometimes very sarcastic or cynical but still extremely funny, or/and the hilarious things that the naughty Seb got up to! Yet, there are some serious elements woven in of course and I have to be honest certain ‘parents’, and I use the word loosely, made my blood boil and they weren’t really even featured much! Such is the emotive writing, that this wonderful partnership of authors, creates.
I now hope this terrific writing duo will continue and write Parker and Harrison’s stories as well.
The line between love and hate is a very fine one as Kate and Seb are about to find out. Kate is Seb's sister's best friend and business partner, who Seb thinks needs to lighten up. Seb is fun, flirty and doesn't seem to take life seriously. The hate that Kate feels towards Seb comes from a mishap with a cake in the shape of a part of the male anatomy. When Seb is asked by his sister to step in and help with planning an event, he sees it as a challenge to get her to crack.
He infuriates her and he gets enjoyment of getting a rise out of her. Somewhere along the way the lines become blurred and Seb finds himself wanting to be in her company and Kate finds him not quite so objectionable.
The battle of wills between these two kept a smile on my face and had me laughing out loud as they tried to out do each other. As their relationship shifted and changed, I found myself feeling all warm and fuzzy with their heart-warming story. I loved these characters and their interactions with each other.
Love 2 Hate U was hysterically funny in my eyes, and now my sides & stomach muscles hurt badly. Kate is super serious, and it doesn't help that she had to cancel her wedding so she's totally closed up when it comes to men. She's actually super uptight about life in general to be honest. Sebastian is the brother of Kate's partner, and she seriously can't deal with his man child self which is why they've been thrown together by his sister. He knows that Kate is too serious, and she's very judgey about his humor so what could possibly go wrong?! Well it was a super fun journey for the reader because their interactions were awesome as they tried to deal with each other but there was heat simmering below the surface despite Kate trying to keep her distance, which won't be denied for long. This story was highly entertaining even if the uptight Kate got on my nerves a bit, and I believe you'll feel the same, plus in order to see how it all plays out you'll have to hit those one click buttons! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO ALL!
Love 2 Hate by Sophie Blue, Alexandra Silva is a quirky story of Kate a young lady who was burned by an engagement and a wedding that didn't take place. She is closed off from man and dating. When her bestfriend pressures her to put herself back out there the dates are either bores or Sebastian seems to sabotage them. Sebastian just so happens to be the brother of her bestfriend and business partner. Now with the business partner out due to her pregnancy, Kate finds herself stuck with Sebastian to fill in for the bestfriend. Sebastian is guite the trickster and is a pain in Kate's bum. With working together and Sebatian doing everything he can to insinuate himself into her dating life something flairs up between them that has Kate seeing a different side of Sebatian. Of course he is good looking and sexy as sin and the cherry on the top is he is highly intelligent. This was my first time reading these authors. I was entertained by this story. Loved the back and forth banter between Kate and Sebatian. Sebatian was quite the prankster with a true heart of gold. 4 stars for me.
You know those books that take you by surprise because they end up being everything you never knew you needed? Yeah. Love 2 Hate U is totally one of those books for me! I was definitely excited for Seb and Kate's story after finishing Love 2 Jingle U (which I loved!), and it gave me all the gushy feelings.
Kate seems like a no nonsense fuddy duddy, but she's only guarded because she's been deeply hurt in the past. It's so plain to see that she cares with her whole heart and I love that. On the other hand, it seems like Seb doesn't take anything seriously but he too is dealing with old wounds and his love for his sister is so endearing and lovely.
The banter and humor, the steam, the heart, THE STEAM...all of it was done so damn well in this enemies to coworkers to enemies with benefits to lovers to...Ha! No spoilers here! LOL. I can't say enough glowing things about the Sweet Vine Romance series that Alexandra Silva and Sophie Blue have created. 5+ stars for Love 2 Hate U with its emotions, fantastic characters and wonderful story!
In this second book of the series, Amelia best friend, Kate, is trying to find a guy good enough to date. When Amelia’s brother, Seb, keeps messing up her dates, Kate becomes more and more frustrated. The hatred between these two is palpable so much that it only makes sense that they begin to fall for each other. Opinion I enjoyed the first book in the series so much that I jumped at the chance to read this one. The ladies did not disappoint. The mistakes from both characters made the book a page turner. I enjoyed watching their relationship grow as well as seeing more into Amelia’s new marriage. With another book coming, this series is one you’ll want to pick up. Many thanks to Bare Naked Words for providing me with an ARC of this book.
Love 2 Hate U was a great read! Sebastian Harding and Katherine Clark have a love hate relationship. These two had me laughing the entirety of the book. They bickered non stop and Sebastian had me dying with the pranks.
While he may be a prankster, he really has a lot to offer throughout this book. Kate on the other hand is all things sass, but she is so strong. These two together were like watching fireworks. You knew there would be sparks, and you watched the intensity between them ignite, but you just didn't know how dynamite they would be until it happened. I absolutely loved every second of it!
I absolutely adore this writing duo and really hope they come out with more!
“Take what you want, Kitty Kat...” All rational thought leaves me. I don’t think about how we hate each other, about how he is my best friend’s brother, or how much of a bad idea this is. Nothing but how much I crave his touch. How desperately I need another taste of him. Just one.
Kate and Sebastian are explosive in every way! Their chemistry radiates off the pages with sophisticated sass, bedroom banter, and unstoppable passion. They are drawn to each other like a force of nature. And what an perfect storm it is!! This was a beautiful story!!
This author duo knocked it out of the park with this story!
Kate and Seb are the perfect definition of enemies to lovers! Their chemistry is off the charts, and I was thoroughly entertained by their back and forth banter, not to mention the passion that emanated from these two! It definitely kept me on my toes, and my kindle in my hand at all times to finish this book quick!
I would definitely recommend this book, and would read these authors again!
Yet another well written book from this new co-writing duo. Didn't love as much as the first, but know many that will. I think it's because I live in the dark and need to be in the right frame of mind read these lighter books. That and I wanted to slap or shake Seb for most of it. Definitely recommend if you prefer light and fluffy or need a palate cleanse. Keeping this review short and sweet as my personal tastes certainly don't reflect on the talent shown in this book.
Kat cannot stand her best friend's brother, but there's also this pull to him that confuses her. Sebastian knows that she will destroy him if he let's her. I loved these two. I laughed, I cried. Enemies to lovers/ best friend's brother. The pranks that these two pulled on each other were hilarious. This was such a good book.
It was a heartwarming, fun read. Really cheered me up.
This author duo write seamlessly together. Really enjoy their work. I laughed so hard at the antics of these characters. Their love/ hate relationship was so entertaining.
I could not get enough of Sebastian! He cracked me up and the love/hate relationship he had with Kate was highly entertaining. This writing duo make an awesome team... loving their books. Love 2 Hate U by Sophie Blue and Alexandra Silva is an EPIC read that will join the ranks of the BIBLIO-ARISTOCRACY!!!
What a brilliant read. I absolutely loved it. Once I started reading I didn't want to stop. I laughed so much while reading. The characters were amazing and so enjoyable to read about. The storyline was perfect for them too. I couldn't get enough.
