The Big Boy has tipped ALL the toys out, and the Grown-Ups don't know how to clean them up. There are revelations about Flynno's brother, the 'Mother Of One', and Father Sinnott; can they be connected? And it's a race against time for Cormac to catch Scooper's School Play--but stage-fright is the least of her problems....Nick Roche (Amazing Renew Your Vows, Transformers Wreckers Saga) and Chris O' Halloran (Ice Cream Man, Folklords) tidy away most of the mess in this final issue.
The strange supernatural force that has shaken this small town to its core is finally revealed...or is it? As a group of parents appear to vanquish this evil, they soon learn this is just the tip of the iceberg. There's much more going on here than just a creepy ghost at a day care center.
Scarenthood #4 wraps up this mini-series and it's quite a roller coaster ride. Creator Nick Roche jumps right into the action with a bonafied exorcism of epic proportions. The ghost is shown as a dreary being of darkness and pain. It appears as a visage of Flynno's lost brother, which just cuts right to the heart. It quickly transforms into something monstrous, taunting the adults with a hideous grin.

This series has been a weird little delight, right from the very first issue. Part supernatural horror, part parenting drama, funny and heartwarming throughout, what more could you ask for? This final (maybe?) issue, puts a neat little bow on the arc, answering some questions while introducing a few new ones (please, oh please, let there be a second volume), but ending in a very satisfying way. Nick Roche should be very proud of himself because this comic - all four of them, honestly - was pretty flawless. I hope IDW collects them into a hardcover edition; I’d definitely buy it.
