One Will: Three Wives

Rate this book
One Three Wives is packed with a large array of interesting suspects—any one of whom could be a murderer— and a roller coaster ride of plot twists. A cameo by the Russian Mafia, the theft of a shelter dog, hints of betray and romance, and a well-drawn depiction of winter in New York City add to the story’s complications and appeal. - Anne Hillerman, New York Times best-selling mystery author.

Edith Tarbescu has written a compelling mystery story. One Three Wives has an intriguing plot and a top-notch cast of characters. This complex crime novel has all the twists and turns needed to keep the reader guessing to the end. Dive in and you'll hang on till the tale unravels and all your questions are answered. - Norma Libman, author, The Story of the What I Wrote and Why

Edith Tarbescu is a gifted storyteller. She has written an engrossing novel that I found hard to put down. Actions unfold against the background of wintry New York City with its traffic jams, icy cold, slippery streets, and the warm refuges of coffee shops. - Maria Espinosa, Author of LONGING.

One Will : Three Wives
By Edith Tarbescu
A Novel

Book Review by Sylvia Jacobs

Detective Cheri Marsh was used to being pushed and shoved. She was used to the sounds of New York. Where did she come from? Was she always a New Yorker? In the first chapter, we already hear about a case the detective is on. Was it a suicide or a homicide? The plot thickens? Detective Cheri starts her investigation and jots down some notes. Will there be a witness across the street who saw what happened? Will they find a will in the top drawer of a desk with a note? What will it say? Did the victim have three wives? If so, the title of the book “One Will, Three Wives really fits the story.
We find out that the victim was a hedge fund manager. The incident happened on a balcony. Did one of his three wives kill him? The suspense is killing me.

One positive of the book is that it is filled with lots of Drama. Who wouldn’t love that in the world of books.
This book is quite a page turner. One will love the author’s style of writing. It is exciting. One will
feel like they are watching a good TV show.

A negative is, reading that in NY things had to be chained up so it wouldn’t get stolen, especially furniture. Growing up in New York that was and still is the life we all had to live. Bars on windows, chains and alarms were needed as well.

This book definitely deserves the rating of five out of five stars. One will see that when they read it.

It is recommended to anyone that loves drama and adores fantastic writing.
