ehehe our pretty little Rachel has finally grown into a lady, she so pretty fr. that aside, she's very stupid just like most other FL that transmigrate, she's nice and cheerful but it's very 2 dimensional. The only interesting character is Lucian, the ML, because we see his character development and his suffering lol
This one has some interesting themes regarding trauma, family, and relationships. It earns the tragedy tag with physical abuse, mental conditioning, self-harm, obsessions, suicide, and more. I dislike that so much of the tale becomes involved in the possessor spirits trying to recycle the war of the past, but ultimately what makes me lose my connection is that no one ever actually deals with their issues in the narrative. Lucien's parents are awful (trash humans) and we start treating them less so with time but they don't ever actually apologize, change their views, or make amends. They just move on and we are supposed to accept that. Our protagonist has PTSD and no one ever really just asks her what is wrong or accepts she shouldn't be making life decisions while struggling with seizures, possession, and muddled memories. I won't argue with those that complain this is not a good representation of mental health or the LGBT community. There is also that weirdness of I want my adoptive sister to be my lover which will limit the audience. Two broken obsessive types does not a healthy relationship make. The webtoon softens the character edges and tries to make some things clearer with a reordered timeline while the novel adaptation does a bit more heavy lifting regarding internal thoughts of the characters. I reiterate that the themes are interesting. It does a good job about making you think about the layers to a problem and how it is hard to stop events which spiral out from a started domino chain. The magic system is actually rather complicated. The plot points themselves will feel familiar to genre fans.

aka: I Became the Younger Sister of a Regretful Obsessive Male Lead
When Rachel de Erlando opens her eyes, she realizes she has woken up as a character inside some webnovel. After the initial shock abates, she adapts quickly and leads a happy life with her new parents, or at least that is until they die from an accident.
Not long after, she gets adopted by Duke Leon, her father’s best friend, and is introduced to her adoptive brother, Lucian de Leon. It is then that Rachel finally realizes that she woke up in her favorite BL webtoon which she was reading in her past life before she passed. She also recalls that Lucian is the traumatized and obsessive male lead who meets a tragic end...but not before he gets tormented by Rachel and consequently kills her.
In order to save her favorite character and avoid getting killed herself, Rachel is determined to change the narrative of the story!
Omg, the f***ing grapes. I understand why it's on the cover, because there were SO MANY scenes involving feeding grapes.
And then his mole obsession. And her just being like, oh, this is perfectly normal? No. No. No. You cannot be that dense!
Ma'am... how could you honestly think he was picking out a ring for himself?
There were so many moments liked this.
The spirits were interesting. And I love me a yandere ml. But... this fml was just tstl. There are dense fmls that I love, but this wasn't it. I had to force myself to slog through this, and all the awkward af scenes, and still ended up just skimming the end.
theres a limit to how stupid the misunderstandings have to be yk. also years and years in the same compound and she is clueless to how much abuse is happening under her nose? duke openly criticizes his son in front of her and she's just there like 🥲
GIRLLL COME ON DO SOMETHING. HAVE AGENCY. she can escape and be kind, but to the ml, she's just been a willing bystander for years im sick of it
go to hell please , i remember when i read it i wanted something simple for killing my time , but this story is just awful , a dirty cliche that made me drop it before the main story and plot even begin , thanks to this i remembered once again that i shouldn’t read anything just because i am bored .
I think it is very stereotypical. (maybe because I've read many manwhas like this in the past, the plot ain't that surprising anymore...?) Well, it was an enjoyable though, for a perfect one day read.
15/10! I’ve been looking forward to this manhwa for a while now! Season two just ended so I decided to read it and so far it’s soooo good! Lucian looks so innocent but he’s literally crazy obsessed with her which I love! I’ll look forward to the next seasons!
