Stella Sutton knows the feeling of abandonment all too well. Coming from a family at the center of the town’s gossip mill, she’s learned to keep her chin up and carry on. After years of piecing together her shattered heart, she has contented herself with life in the small Texas town of Belle Ridge. When her high school sweetheart returns, he brings more than just old memories and that charming smile with him.

Clay Atwood had no choice but to escape his hometown after his family faced great loss and devastation. Four years later, he returns for his sister’s wedding, stirring up more trouble than he’d left behind. He knows he holds the answers to Stella’s questions, but sometimes it’s best to stay quiet. When new danger arises, Clay must decide if it’s safer to abandon town once again or stay to fight for the woman who holds his heart.

When it’s all on the line, how far will he go to keep her safe while trying not to get any more blood on his hands?

Explore Belle Ridge, Texas where the tea is sweet, neighbors are nosy, and “things like this don’t happen”—until they do. Each book can be read as a STAND-ALONE but contain SPOILERS when read out of order. Belle Ridge’s Department of Tourism takes great pride in their lack of cliffhangers and guaranteed HEAs.

Return was previously titled Abandoned.

ONE UNBELIEVABLE EXPERIENCE!!!
Holy Hell! Andrea knocked the balls off this bad boy, skillfully laying this baby out with all the acumen, imagination and unique insight for detail, blasts this gem to life brilliantly. A raging inferno of chaotic and baffling circumstances along with astonishing events, blasts those spinning emotions into a churning vortex with unbelievable results. Anarchy, escapades and havoc run amuck, kicking this gem into a tempest, bursting it into a hissy with a stupefying, mind-blowing culmination. Unveiling an array of drama, turmoil, intrigue, deceit, danger and mounting suspense, along with a boatload of shenanigans, while dodging mayhem, you have the makings for block busting adventure. The characters are authentic and original with qualities and traits that transforms into amazing personalities. The scenes are strikingly sharp with abundant details and descriptions, as to give you a full understanding and realism that flows smoothly. Remarkable job Andrea, thanks for sharing this little guy with us.

Swimming in Cr*nge

For a small town in Texas, Belle Ridge has more serial murderers and violent crime per capita than anywhere else in the world. Much like the first disappointing book, this book also features a female character who simply cannot get enough abuse. I particularly liked that the author made the decent, hard-working boyfriend from the first book into an insecure jerk to make the mmc’s behavior seem acceptable by comparison. Similar to the first book, readers are supposed to brush it off when the mmc accuses the fmc of sleeping with his brother and ditches her shortly before his sister kidnaps and attempts to kill her.

There are some behaviors and actions that do not warrant a second, third, or fourth chance and this author does not seem to know the difference between what is acceptable and what is not.

Stella could write a book about small town life, especially the kind where secrets and gossip mean that everyone knows your business - and everyone knows your PAST, which is even worse. So when her ex boyfriend comes back into town, and starts getting tongues wagging again, it's not great for Stella - it's miserable. Can she keep Clay firmly in the past, or will her heart betray her, even when she's got a new guy? And also - why is he back? Loved the twists in this story!

This is the 1st book I've read written by Andrea Rousse; she has done a great job at writing a good book; I can’t wait to read more of her books.

The story line caught my attention at the very beginning and kept me interested throughout the entire book.

I loved the chemistry between the characters.

Holy cow.

I have to say Andrea had me wondering what was fixing to happen and who was responsible for this entire book. It wasn’t just a second chance it was a murder, kidnapping conspiracy. It was a great book.
