Being an omega in an alpha-dominated world isn't easy…
Reese is tough, however, and can handle anything this academy full of arrogant alphas can throw at him. Or at least he hopes so. He has a scholarship and all his ducks in a row… until Tiberius, alpha son of a powerful werewolf clan, hires him as help and keeps shooting him those hot looks… Everything in Reese wants to submit to the powerful alpha, but is that a good idea?
Being an alpha from a powerful clan comes with responsibilities…
Tiberius is supposed to marry into a good family, claim a rich omega and have plenty of babies to continue his line—but the only omega he wants is Reese. When one day Reese takes off without a word, Tiberius realizes just how much the pretty omega means to him.
What he doesn't imagine is that Reese has some important news for him, news that will change both their lives…
* This is a 55,000-word mpreg shifter novel with humor and angst and misunderstandings that lead nevertheless to love and cute babies! Intended for adult readers.*
This was an enjoyable read for me. I liked Reese and Ty, but felt they would have benefited from better communication. Ty’s father was kind of predictable. I did think there was a nice set up for the upcoming stories. There seems to be a war brewing between the witches and the shifters. The far also may be the problem.
New to me author. This was Mpreg contemporary story. Main characters are Tiberius the alpha and Reese the Omega. I had no connection to either character. This book needs a good editor.
Torn between familial pressure and listening to ones heart, Tough Cute Omega, by Eva Lyra, is a mysterious, gripping, humorous and incredibly heartwarming story about a strong and dedicated alpha and a hardworking and determined omega, as they confront society and family members all in the name of love.
I loved this new story as it contains all of my most favorite tropes all rolled up into one exciting story. Set in a somewhat different kind of shifter society, where class is evident and youth are categorized early on in their development, while attempting to live in a somewhat struggling society, as many attempt to rise in power for their own good. Various young alphas carrying the brunt of familial pressure, and omegas carrying the biggest pressure(s) of them all. This story was intense yet exciting with hints of normalcy containing such great characters that collectively had this reader glued to her kindle.
With an addicting plot containing a dedicated yet confused, rambunctious seemingly older alpha being lead by alcohol and one-nighters, and an intelligent and dedicated omega, I loved the underlying storyline and its direction, as the main characters had such a connection that I was so invested in their story.
While yes, my head did spin a bit as there were so many sub-plots in addition to the main one, that despite being introduced into this particular storyline; from the expectant shifters to witches to fae to humans to intriguing secondary characters, I actually needed more. I needed so much more. I needed more character background, and more to the overall development as there were many questions that were left unanswered. In addition, I would also definitely recommend another round through the editing process as there were times when it was difficult to understand part of the plot as it was affected due to a need for more editing. All in all, I really liked this story and look forward to more from this series. I really liked it! :)

The things I loved: The immediate attraction, the way Ty change his feelings toward the omega, like he is just there to do his thing to nobody will hurt him ever. Lol. The confrontation to his family, putting his foot down on what he wants and I want to know more about the drama, the future war and the past incident. The things I hate: At first the way the author devide each class of category kinda bother me. Like omegas is there to provide needs like a boi. (Like they are their server, bring them their meal, of if you are their own boi they shop for them, etc) they are not a slave!!! This books is for: Everyone who like a low angst, fluffy style, heat and mpreg!!! Love it.
This story could have been so much more, but there were a couple of things that just didn't do it for me. I really disliked the way that dialogues were done, it all seemed too forced or awkward. There's definitely a need for a good editor too. The characters are confusing at some points, especially Tiberius's friends. The plot outside the one related to the couple could have been expressed well. All we know are some bits and pieces that don't really make much sense. Not to mention how the couple is totally uninterested in what is going on with the possibility of a war.

💭THOUGHTS💭 At first I was quite sceptical about this book because I thought I won’t really like it and it’s gonna be atypical or something like that. Now not to be a bitch, but this was a stereotypical, but I did like it. I think I’m just a very cliche person. Forgive me at this point. I will be reading the next two books, specially excited for the last book.
Great Start to a New Series It starts with the cover. The title saying it all, Tough Cute Omega, with a cute Omega and adorable infant. The Omega's androgynous features make him pretty. But there was so much more to him. He was smart, determined, stubborn, yet vulnerable because of his past and present circumstances. Reese wanted more out of life despite having some heavy baggage dragging him down. He wanted to keep those bags tightly locked. Making sure no one could accidentally peek inside.
One thing to remember is that the majority of the characters are very young adults 18 to 20 years of age from rich families. So their behavior in college is not unusual. Given the fact that the Alphas have extra testosterone because they are also Wolf shifters - then their arrogance and boorish behavior is not surprising. Having an Omega as a Boi to be their paid servant is right in keeping with everything.
The Alpha MC Tiberius is BMOC (Big Man on Campus). He's known for not caring about some of the Omega chasing behavior like his two best friends Marcus and Nero. That is until he lays eyes on the Omega waiter Reese, suddenly the pretty Omega is all he can think about. Unbeknownst to him Reese is secretly experiencing the same thing extreme mutual lustful attraction. It becomes obvious fairly soon that this is an erotic romance. Initially I was a bit disappointed. I wanted more of a story line. Then the book made a turn and became a poignant tale. Characters became three-dimensional and I began rooting for them to achieve a HEA.
There are villains, backstories, and a preview of more storylines to come. If you enjoy mpreg where the Omega and Alpha experience all aspects of the pregnancy from the mating to the birth and all that happens inbetween you should read the new book by a first-time author to me Eva Lyra.
This book has potential to be good but everything stays too much on the surface. The most intriguing things remain a mystery and the telephone number mistake is really bad.
The books storyline was great, but the overall function on how it came together was not so great. I’m okay with books having a few mistakes which shows in this book that it was not edited well. The summery got me into paying for it only to get disappointed once I started reading.
I thoroughly ate this story up! I adored Reese and Ty, but just beware, the miscommunication between the two will really try you! At times they got on my last nerve because of it, but in the end I still loved them both.
Reese is an Omega that is on scholarship at Howl Academy, basically hiding from his past. He meets Tiberius/Ty as a server, and for some reason, the formidable, “I don’t want a Boi”, intimidating alpha, makes Reese his Boi.
Ohhh the way in which their chemistry takes over—chef’s kiss. I loved the way in which neither knew what the heck was going on with their bodies when it came to one another!
This one read quite quick but beware, it DOES have quite a few grammatical errors and other things in it—the editing is not great—but it didn’t take me away from the story!
I loved their HEA and how hard they fought to keep one another. If you’re looking for something cute but not without the ups and downs, take a chance on Reese and Ty!
IMO the only this book can be enjoyed is if its read with intention of not being taken seriously at all; just a time-passer. The characters really acted their age, oftentimes frustratingly so. The alphas did not come off good or kind or polite or respectful, especially at the start. The book tried to create a mystery/tension with subplot, but to be completely frank, I didn't find myself caring or intrigued at all. And it feels like the author only read this book as she was writing it, cause there are several easy to spot and fix spelling mistakes and typos. Given all that, and the fact that these books aren't KU, I definitely won't be purchasing the other two books of the series. I might read them if I ever get a kobo subscription.
This is my first time reading this Author, glad I did. This wasn't a bad read, was a little confused in a few spots, and there are still a few question I'm hoping will be answered in the next book. Mostly about that Whitches, fea and the whole thing about the war. Hopfully they learn about Reese's dad's too, that would be nice.
I like Reese an Ty, but thier communication could have been better, but isn't that how alot of stories go really? I got to say Ty's dad was a real pice of work, glad about the end, though seem kind of rushed, though I am glad Ty didn't forgive him right away.
Anyway, goos book to read in my opinion. Just need to start the others soon. :)

Tiberius is attracted to Reese but his father is pushing his towards an arranged marriage. Alpha Tiberius is being pushed towards an arranged marriage but he is attracted to Omega Reese at the Howl Academy. His father threatens Reese to make him leave the Academy so Reese goes and stays with his cousin but soon finds he is pregnant. Tiberius with the help of his friends Marcus and Nero goes in search of him but when they find him are shocked by his expanding waistline.
I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
4 stars. LOVED IT. So cliché and ridiculous and exactly what I love. There was a lot of stuff that I would have rolled my eyes at, gotten annoyed by or even gotten me to DNF had it not been an omegaverse. But mpreg? Knotting? Cute, little omegas and angry, toppy alphas????? COUNT ME THE FUCK IN. An author can do no wrong in omegaverse as long as the writing is coherent. I will buy anything. This was absolutely ridiculous but KNOTTING, MPREG, HEAT SEX, JEALOUS AGGRESSIVE ALPHA, DAMSEL-IN-DISTRESS OMEGA!!!!!
I was looking for something light and fluffy and thought that this would fit the bill. Although things moved quickly, there felt like there was so little substance to this that I was constantly rolling my eyes. A vague attempt at a political plot was inserted badly with no resolution and I found the characters pretty much impossible to like – they seemed to be caricatures more than anything. I don’t know if I was expecting too much but I can’t see me reading any more of the series. Obviously YMMV.
The alpha protag suffers from "this is what middle schoolers imagine when they think of masculinity" which entails 19 year old boys having the tastes, hobbies, and personal politics of men in their late fifties. Baby boy smokes Cubans with scotch in his school's "alpha salon" (read: airport lounge where omegas are exploited). It would have been more entertaining if it wasn't so fucking insufferable. I couldn't stomach the thought of watching him become a father, so DNF.
A brilliant start to what seems a fantastic story full of heat, strong attraction and alphaholes. Very enjoyable and a solid foundation for future plots, I loved the pickle of situation the omega found himself in and the attempts to fix it. A mystery to unravel and sink into with witty and heartfelt characters. Secrets unraveled and jerky parents but an underlying softness to it all. I await the next book to devour.
Tough and spoiled Alphas never think that they need to take anyone else's feelings into account. They are the only important ones.
This story take a certain jerky alpha, and a sweet omega and definitely puts them both on their backsides until they figure out what it is that they have going on between them.
This is my first time reading this Author and I'm so happy!! I love great series and if the rest are as good as this one I've found a new Author to follow. This is angsty, has a lot of hot scenes and babies at the end. Tiberius and Reese have a great story. I'm thankful that I found EVA LYRA. Finding a new talented Author is always exciting. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BOOK!!!!!
What a brilliant story which I totally recommend and I hope that others enjoy it as much as I did. Reese is such a serious Omega wanting to do the best and then there's Ty who tries his best to ignore how Reese makes him feel. Readers should love watching these two people negotiate through the stages of love and manipulation by others around to separate them.
It’s really a 2.5 rounded up because I don’t like giving 2 ⭐️ reviews.
When I read the blurb I was really excited about this book. Once I got into it… not so much. I’m not really sure how to describe it. The characters were unlikeable. I know there’s social class aspect to this but the whole thing is confusing. Everything is disjointed. The dialogue is just weird… the conversations jump around.
Now part of this is due to lack of editing. Although I think that editing may not help it. It needs a complete overhaul.
First of all, I can't take seriously a boy named Tiberius 😂 Now for the story, is gross the way the alphas talk about the omegas like they were just properties Tiberius (😂) is a piece of shit, all the alphas are I REALLY wanted to dnf this at 20% but I don't like to left books unfinished, so I forced myself into the whole thing, I hated it. I think this author is not for me, definitely I'm not reading the next books, sorry.
This is a cute shifter mpreg fated mate book that happens at a college. Reese is an omega trying to make ends meet while trying to keep up in school. Ty is a spoiled alpha. They are drawn to each other, but Ty is a jerk for a while.
This book takes place in the midst of a pending war.
It was a good story. Something to pass the time, but I feel it was a bit rushed. And there could have been more added to the story. Few grammatical errors but easily over looked.
This is a great starter for a series. Set in an academy where females are no longer around or are very rare and do not have the ability to have children. It is well-written and has humour running through to make this a real page-turner.
Did not enjoy this one at all. Skimmed through to the end just so I could see if it was on okay/happy one. It had a lot of the alpha/omega tropes that I don't enjoy - treating omegas like shit, using them and then not owning up if they get them pregnant...
This is was definitely an experience and the result was totally unexpected. I enjoyed this for what it is, because of the description and title I went with the mindset this is not something I will not take too seriously and because of that I enjoyed the story even with all of it’s flaws.
