For most any Harry Potter fan, Hogwarts is the coolest place in the Wizarding World, certainly one of the coolest, and without the many characters that make up its students and staff it would just be a big, haunted pile of rocks. It's the people that make it live and breathe. The students were covered in another in this series (volume four to be exact); this book focuses on Hogwarts professors and staff as seen in the film series, and does a nice job of filling out details.

Coming now to near the end of this twelve book series I see better now what the authors and editors had in mind for it. If I were to go back I might bump a few of my previous reviews up or down a star if I were to do it again, but I won't. Suffice to say that the "Film Vault" books are ending strong. This one contains great pictures of and information on all of the non-students one runs across at Hogwarts. I especially liked how variations in costume were implemented over the course of the eight movies. The next time I go back and watch them I'll make a point of noticing some of those choices more. If you want to know more about the characters in the films you can't do better than these books, and if you want to know about Hogwarts, you have three full volumes - the castle (volume six), the students as mentioned above, and this one on staff.

Highly recommended for Harry Potter fans.

Este es uno de esos libros que amo porque dan mucha información extra, incluso datos que no me llamaban en lo más mínimo y/o no consideraba importante.

Aquí tenemos un poco, por encima, de la info sobre los profesoras y personal relevante de la trama de HP, pero también tenemos comentarios y entrevistas del staff. Ahí es donde me di cuenta sobre el LABURAZO que tienen los maquillistas y los vestuaristas, especialmente al tratarse fantasía porque requiere bastante de estudio y análisis.

Nice images

This is a nice book of photos taken while filming and concept art. Nothing new or exciting here. Really it was kind of a let down.
