I would have taken this dare without hesitation since Hawaii is #1 on my bucket list of places to visit. Attending a couples retreat would make it even better. This is another nice, short read with a momentous surprise for Jonah. When it's cold at home. escape to warmth in this story. I received an ARC. This is my unbiased, voluntary opinion.

Michelle wants to help Jonah get over his ex who publicly broke his heart and make him see her in a romantic light by going away together on a couples retreat dare. But then his ex is there and it gets a little crazy complicated. I laughed at the couples massage and dancing singing competition. I would love to go to Hawaii someday, but not on such long flights for just a weekend visit.

I received an ARC of Dare Number Two: Don't Fall in Love by Laura Burton thanks to the publisher through BookSprout in exchange for an honest review.

After I read Dare Number One, I immediately signed up to receive alerts for Laura Burton future books because it was so sweet. When I was given the opportunity to read and review Dare Number Two, I was thrilled. And it lived up to my expectations completely.

This short story follows Michelle and Jonah as they travel to a couple's retreat in Hawaii after taking on the dare "don't fall in love". With Jonah's broken heart, he doesn't think it will be hard to do and he'll get to enjoy a vacation to Hawaii. But Michelle has other plans for the man she loves.

There was just the right amount of conflict/tension to make it feel like it may not be a 'happily ever after' without making it overly complicated. Since this is less than 100 pages, only so much can included and what is really wanted is the development of a potential romance. This managed that balance perfectly. There were some parts that were really cheesy or ridiculous (like who they find when they arrive), but it they made sense, even if I rolled my eyes about it (you need to know if the dare is being done, right?).

If you are looking for a quick romance where the characters already know each other so it's not quite insta-love, this series should be your go-to.

“Her flushed cheeks fill with adrenaline. I like seeing her like this. All cute and sexy and flustered.”

A trip to Hawaii. A dare. Two friends. What could go wrong? Michelle and Jonah have been friends since high school, meeting at Glee club. After going to college in different states, they finally reunite as they enter adulthood.

Michelle has been crushing on Jonah, but after a failed proposal that left him heartbroken, he said that he wouldn’t love again. This gives Michelle a perfect opportunity to give them both a dare: Attend a couples retreat in Hawaii as a fake couple and most importantly: NOT to fall in love with each other.

Things start to go smoothly, until Jonah’s ex shows up which surprises them. What will happen during the trip? Will Jonah get back together with his ex?

Super cute, super fun, this is the second installment to the Truth or Dare series. This is a great short read when you don't have a lot of time, but need a little something to brighten your day. This cute friends to lovers story is about Michelle and Jonah. Jonah has been publicly humiliated by his ex and Michelle tries to cheer him up by convincing him to go on a couple's retreat to Hawaii with her. The dare? You guessed it, don't fall in love. That will be a little challenging for Michelle as she is already in love with Jonah and she is out to make him notice her romantically. This story, although short, had just the right amount of twists and turns to make you wonder if there will be a HEA. Loved the dynamic between these two friends, and the chemistry was undeniable. Like I said early on, super fun and super cute! Can't wait to read the third dare!

Friends forever, college separated them, but they are back in town and all grown up now. Yet Michelle still can't get herself to let Jonah know her true feelings. This Truth or Dare game is sure to make that happen. She convinces Jonah to go on the couples retreat to Hawaii. She and Jonah will find out what it takes to make a relationship work, taking on the dare "don't fall in love".

Everything is going according to Michelle’s plan until his cruel ex shows up. This woman was the one who broke his heart, then heaped on humiliation with an embarrassing video she shared. Will her presence there end Michelle’s chances of Jonah’s falling in love with her? Or will Michelle rally and make him finally see that she loves him and they were meant to be together?

Jonah and Michelle

-‘ That's why this dare is easy. There's no way I can fall for Michelle. I’m not sure I’m even capable of feeling love for anyone again.’-

Jonah was hurt and humiliated when his girlfriend turned down his proposal and it went viral. Michelle has been in love with Jonah forever and she comes up with a plan to use reverse psychology on him to get him to fall in love with her. But when Jonah’s ex shows up in Hawaii will the flames spark again? Will Michelle’s plan backfire?

I loved that it was finally Michelle’s turn to have the dare as I was looking forward to reading her story. It didn’t disappoint.

Another funny romantic adventure

When Michelle and Jonah take the dare to not fall in love in Hawaii while at a couples retreat, Michelle wants him to fail miserably. She has been in love with Jonah or at least had a crush since they were in glee together and although their lives of taking them to different places they are now back in their hometown and have been through many mistakes while trying to find Mr. and Mrs. Wright. Have they found what they have been looking for, Michelle certainly hope so. This book was so freaking good and Laura Burton is always so funny I love her books so much.

Just when you think the dares can’t be topped, you get handed a doozy.

When friends get together and reunite over a game of truth or dare, just like the good old days. Which is more dare than truth. But now there is far more at stake as emotions that have been locked down for many years get a chance to break free, with interesting consequences and a whole load of fun ensues.

This story takes you to Hawaii, during a couples retreat. What could possibly go wrong. Throw in an ex and sparks will fly.

A really enjoyable series, this book is not to be missed.

Finding The Courage To Reveal Their Truths -
I have read a few Laura Burton books and I have not come across any of her books that I have not devoured, with vigour. I have read books one and two in the truth or dare series, and I can assure you, book three is just as amazing a read as the previous two. The story captured my attention from the beginning and held it all the way through, right until the end. If you want to read a feel good book, then I suggest you get this book.

Michelle and Jonah go to Hawaii. The challenge is easy: don't fall in love.
This story is a rollercoaster of emotions, from the hillarious dance competition scene where Michelle gets stuck to the heartbreaking feelings the blast from the past brings.
I really liked watching Jonah's awakening to his feelings and Michelle's insight of her behaviors.
And, also, Katya and Ryker's challenge is now set. Can't wait to see if they succeed or if they have to swim in the Hudson as some have had to...
I received a free ARC copy of this book and this is my honest opinion

This book was a great continuation of the series. This is my third book by this author and I have one more lined up already. I liked this one better than the first book in this series. There was more background and I loved that. The characters were a lot of fun especially when they figured themselves out. I liked that Jonah’s ex came into the picture because then I was able to put a face behind the words. Overall, this story was good.

I liked this book. It was interesting to find Jonah and Michelle's truth or dare take them to a couple's retreat in Hawaii. The dare was don't fall in love. I thought it was finny and quite a coincidence that Jonah's ex-girlfriend, Tessa ended up there too. I liked that because it made for an interesting storyline. There's only two people left for dare number 3. I received an advance copy of this book and I willingly chose to write an honest review.

These are the perfect length for those times you only have an hour and you want to be able to finish the story. There's enough content to fall in love with all of the characters and see that their love has started before the dare. Such a sweet story. I love how Tessa comes back and he still chooses Michelle. Plays out very nicely. Well written.

Good storyline with equally good characters

This third book (including the prequel) is the story of Michelle and Jonah. This cute story plays out somewhat differently than the others. I will not go into how not wanting to give spoilers, but it was a fun, enjoyable story that left me with a smile. Short and very quick read to fill up time while you are waiting.

Laura Burton did it again, as usual. I like Michelle, she made Jonah seem to be the one doing the chasing while all the while he was being driven into the relationship, what made it extra nice he liked it
What a beautiful story, which made Jonah realise what he really wanted was right before his eyes.
Love is in the air with these dares, can't wait for the next dare

I loved how it wasn't an easy path for these two. And how Michelle thought she could be with Jonah if she gave him a challenge. But mostly I loved that they both grew individually! And I loved a couple of twists the author threw in, no spoilers here though. Great and easy read, especially in these pandemic times.

Another quick, cute escape, and this one is to Hawaii (although I'm not sure how one flies from NY to Hawaii over a weekend, but we'll let that part slide). For as short as this story is, it wasn't lacking, I think it helps if you read all the books in order. I'm curious for the next one
