Twins Harley and Rhiannon Hummingbird have always been competitive. But there's one thing the siblings can agree on―they can't wait to travel from their Oklahoma home to their grandparents’ new cabin in northern Wisconsin. Both Harley and Rhiannon are looking forward to a week of swimming, boating, and most importantly, fishing. While there, they learn about the best baits, the best techniques, and the importance of location in having a successful day fishing. But the most important lessons they learn are about teamwork and persistence.
A fun little read about siblings who go visit their grandparents at their lake cabin in good ole Wisconsin and learn the joys of fishing, especially bass fishing 🥹 gave me all the nostalgic feels from my own childhood growing up on a lake in small town Wisco and spending the majority of my summer days fishing off our shore and dock. ❤️
What a fun read with my 6 year old grandson. We just finished our pond so he was thrilled! Love the pictures because they help bring the story to life. Learning about fishing is so beneficial for young ones. The children in the story are realistic. We can't wair for the next book! Thanks #netgalley and #Capstone for the eARC in exchange for an honest review.
With thanks to NetGalley and Stone Arch Books for an early copy in return for an honest review.
What a fun early chapter book! The pictures were a great addition and by the end I was ready to go fishing. Will definitely be recommending this story to readers ready for chapter books but not quite ready for middle grade books.
Cool little chapter book about twins who learn teamwork and persistence while fishing at their grandparents' lake home in Wisconsin. Discussion questions and a glossary at the end great for homeschoolers.
