Rate this book
In 1941, when Germany invades Greece,a Greek scientist makes a discovery so important it is called the ultimate weapon. He escapes to the relative safety of the monastic territory of Mount Athos. Nazi Germany uncovers the existence of this weapon and in 1944 they track down both the weapon and its inventor. On orders from Adolf Hitler himself, a U-boat is sent to bring back the secret to Berlin. The mission fails and the weapon lays forgotten. Over sixty years later, the CIA obtain details from a KBG archive making reference to the weapon, and an immediate search begins to identify and obtain it for the USA. David Osborne pensioned off from British Military intelligence having been diagnosed with terminal cancer, unknowingly stumbles across the secret while sailing in the Northern Aegean, as other intelligence agencies also learn of the existence of the weapon, and the race for its possession begins.
