The Prosecutor is the story of former FBI bomb technician Jonah Watson and deputy district attorney Madison Gray.

Synopsis:
Madison is prosecuting the case of the Rip City bomber. She’s six months pregnant from a one-night stand with Jonah and wants to bring up the baby by herself.

Thirty-three-year-old Maddi is the target of the bomber. And Jonah will do anything to keep her and their baby out of danger. He has only just got back the semblance of a family he lost long ago.

Review:
I’d tell you you’re supposed to be sleeping, but I’ve known you long enough to know I’d probably have a high heel thrown at my face if I dared question your work habits.

And that is why I love Nichole Severn’s books! The pregnant lady is as badass as anyone can be; a workaholic to boot, she doesn’t let minor cuts and scrapes or major life events from working towards reaching her goal. She can be insecure, she can be scared, but she marches on and comes out stronger in the end. But yes, that does not mean that this is any less of a romance because both the protagonists often work together, whether it be through their issues or related to their respective professions.

This was such a riveting read. I couldn’t even stop to take pointers for this review because I was so busy being astonished by the next reveal. And there are so many reveals along the way, even though it is done in what I would call the “lawyer style.”

Reading this book was like piecing together a puzzle, as we chased after Jonah and Madison in search of the pseudo-bomber. There’s everything you could possibly want in a romantic suspense, starting with the romance to fistfights and added to this was the explosive expert Jonah’s expertise in solving the case(s). Plus he added the thrill of not being able to guess the antagonist till they were revealed!

There were so many instances in this story where I almost forgot to breathe. This was one of the most perfect romantic suspense I had ever read with one of the most adorable endings. Sigh!

Next up is The Suspect – the boss’ book.

Thank you to the author for an e-ARC of the book.

4 1/2 STARS!

Heart pounding action! Nichole Severn does not disappoint with the third book in her Marshal Law series THE PROSECUTOR. The tension is high from the very start of the book and doesn't stop throughout. Fast paced, attention grabbing and has intriguing characters.

Madison is career oriented and heading towards the top of her game, so she's not about to let a criminal mastermind interfere with the biggest case of her career. Reuniting with the father of her unborn child isn't in her plans though. I liked the premise of who she was, but she was quite selfish and unfair to Jonah and I couldn't forget that.

Jonah is just the sweetest. He's tough and burly when his job calls for it, but is a gentle teddy bear when he's taking care of Maddi. I really loved him.

I highly recommend this book as well as the entire series to anyone who enjoys a fast paced mystery filled with tension, romance and happily ever afters.

The third in the series and best one yet.
I sometimes wanted to give a kick to both main characters, but on the whole I liked them.
Action packed and riveting in places. As usual Ms Severn's hero and heroine manage to survive regardless of their injuries or conditions. In Maddi's case, being six months pregnant, running for her life and hanging from a bridge !
Even the improbability of it, couldn't spoil the story for me. I really enjoyed it and I am looking forward to the next and last in the series.

I liked this book and i do think the series is improving with each book. The suspense are twists are better each time. i did had my suspicion about the culprit right but the answers came late in the book which made it even more enjoyable.

I took time to warm up to Madison....i like independent women but in her case it bordered on stupidity. Still she got better and Jonah is just perfect for her so attentive and protective but not all alpha either.

The story is really well written and i will continue this series with pleasure

Nichole Severn has delivered a heart pounding, edge of your seat read as the third installment of her Marshal Law Series with Harlequin Intrigue.

Deputy DA Madison Gray is prosecuting an extremely high-profile case – the notorious Rip City Bomber who is responsible for 29 deaths. Security at the courthouse is high, complete with former FBI bomb specialist, now US Marshal Jonah Watson, is on site.

Madison is six months pregnant and is determined, no matter how it might hurt Jonah, to raise the baby on her own, vowing not to be dependent on a man the way her mother was. That determination rips apart the closeness, the special friendship, that had tied them together even as Jonah was determined to be present in his child’s life.

Now, someone is trying to kill Madison, immediately calling and stating she is the target after a bomb goes off in the courtroom. Nothing is going to stand in Jonah’s way he fights to save not only his unborn child, but the woman he loves – not even her determination to raise the child on her own.

The emotional turmoil is real as Jonah and Madison share their secrets while she is in protective custody.

Who is copying the Rip City Bomber’s bombs? Why is the bomber so determined to eliminate Madison? Why target Madison when someone else would be assigned it something happened to her? Who had access to the courthouse to know which room the case would be heard?

Another top notch romantic suspense by Nichole Severn. This is the third in a series and centers around US Marshall Jonah Watson and Prosecutor Madison Grey. 6 months ago, after a night with Jonah, Madison became pregnant and she cut Jonah out of her life stating that she was going to raise the child on her own. Jonah's broken hearted but steps back and gives her the room she wants...until a bomber tries to kill Madison and his unborn child. From here the action is fast and furious. Jonah and Madison grow closer as he fights to keep them safe from the Rip City Bomber and they learn each other's pain and secrets. Even though the Rip City Bomber is in jail it's obvious someone else is involved. The real surprise is who this person is and Ms Severn does a great job setting the reveal up!
I really recommend this series. I missed the first book but I just bought it, and I will definately read more by this author!
My thanks to the author for providing an advanced copy for me to read in exchange for an honest review.

Nichole If I could give this book more stars I would. The characters fit together and it was where you just could go with the flow of the book.
Deputy District Attorney Madison Gray was a very independent women who was bound to raise her baby herself.
United States Marshal Jonah Watson former FBI and bomb specialist.
US Marshal Watson what put on protective custody of the DDA Madison Gray for this case and many of her other cases.
When she was put in protective custody after the bombing of the court house and Rip City Bomber.
It is emotional intriguing , and suspense then I recommend this book. Because a lot what happens in this book is very suspenseful.
Nichole this was a fantastic book I love how you wrote the things happened and how you made people see things different when they are in danger.
Thank you !!

The Prosecutor
Harlequin Intrigue
A Marshall Law Novel

The third book in the Marshall Law suspense series.
Jonah, US Marshall, former FBI bomb disposal expert, charged with courtroom security. He just happens to be there when his former lover is the target of a notorious bomber. Madison is a great prosecutor, she does however have to protect her unborn baby.
While this case might just propel her career into the stratosphere the risks might be too much for her or Jonah to handle.
Explosive right out of the blocks.
Twists and turns keep you intrigued and guessing till the very end.

This is the 3th book in the Marshal Law series and it’s very good!
Great suspense and full of action.
I really liked the characters Jonah and Madison. Although I really loved the other two books in the series I think this one is my favorite! A lot of twists and turns and in my opinion sometimes emotional because Madison is pregnant and that makes the tension higher because she has to protect her unborn child. I’m really looking forward to reading the next book in this series and highly recommended this book to everyone who loves romantic suspense. Definitely 5 stars.
I received this arc from the author and this review is my honest opinion.

Fast moving action with a smidge of second chance romance. There’s a serial bomber trying to kill the pregnant prosecutor and she’s too stubborn and strong to let him kill her. She’s been through the ringer but her Marshall is right there to save her. It’s a personal battle to let him help her because her past is fighting with her heart. The entire series is connected by the Marshall team, each case and relationship is separate. I received an early copy from the author and my review has been given voluntarily.

As the third book in the Marshal Law series, The Prosecutor is a great read! It’s a fast paced story and there’s plenty of action, suspense, angst, tension, twists and turns to keep you flipping the pages. I enjoyed the storyline and the characters; Madison, I had to warm up to – I didn’t really care for her at first, but she turned me around but Jonah, I really liked him – he had a good combination of on the job tough and yet sweet when dealing with Madison. Nice addition to the series!

Madison is happy with her life, her unborn child, a great job as Senior Deputy District Attorney, until the bomb goes off. After that she is trying to protect her baby and never sure who she can trust. Jonah is the baby's father but they are not together until it becomes his job to keep her alive. She is in so much danger but doesn't know who is trying to kill her. I am really enjoying this series about strong women and the men who want to protect them not control them.

The Prosecutor book 3 of the Marshal Law series is the best one so far! I love this book. This series just keeps getting better. I'm going to be sad when the last book comes out. The characters Madison Gray and Jonah Watson are so real, I love them. The twists and turns in this book keeps you guessing till the very end. If you haven't read any of Nichole Severn's books you've been missing out. I highly recommend this book series.

This one is not going to wait but grab you right away. Pregnant and a DA Madison is surprised to see she has a detail in the form of Marshall Jonah. Thanks to a vow to not depend on him again is probably what got it and threats due to the bomber. The suspense that goes with this one is what we crave along with the romance that they will ignite. Oh the webs that will be in this one but oh the action, as we turn those pages not fast enough though.

We met Jonah Watson some in the previous book of the series and boy am I glad he got his own book.

Jonah and Maddi are awesome. He's a very protective, alpha hero, but he's not pushy about it. She's a strong-willed heroine that needs to realize depending on another person isn't always a bad thing.

The suspense and twists in this one are great.

Another fast paced read by Nichole Severn. Deputy DA Madison Gray and the Marshal Watson have a history. And when a bomber is trying to kill her, Jonah is assigned to keep her safe. I stayed up half the night to finish it. I did receive this book as part of the review crew, but would have purchased anyway, because I'm hooked on her books.

Good book. Madison made very stupid and impulsive decisions for a pregnant assistant DA who was also the target of a bomber. Even AFTER being saved from TWO bombs, that were meant for her, and being kidnapped she STILL continued to make dumb ass decisions. Jonah was way too easy on Madison, considering she was making all these dumb decisions while pregnant with their baby.

Reviewed at Happily Ever After Romance

The Prosecutor is the third title in the Marshal Law series, and this one is a grip the edge of your seat roller coaster ride from start to finish.

Madison is about to face the most important case of her career (so far) in the desire, no, the need to put the Rip City Bomber behind bars for the rest of their days on Earth. Nothing is as important as seeing justice done or knowing a vile person can no longer hurt anyone… but is that a fact or simply not knowing all the pertinent details just yet? When a bomb goes off in the courtroom with the bomber suspect sitting right there at the time it went off, well, there are more questions to be asked than anyone could have expected.

Jonah and Madison have a history, work-related yes, but one that also crossed over into their personal lives with Maddi becoming pregnant – and immediately pushing Jonah away declaring that she was fully capable and intended to raise their child on her own without his involvement. To say that Jonah was hurt beyond belief would be an understatement, yet he is also a man who will not push himself where he is not wanted and reluctantly agreed to Maddi’s decision. But today Jonah’s skills as a former bomb tech and his job as her protector are more important than Madison’s discomfort at seeing him or working with him during the trial. And in the coming hours and days, Maddi is going to need Jonah’s expert experience as more bombings occur and direct danger pulls Maddi into situations that endanger her and their unborn child.

I fell hard for Jonah. He ticks off all the hero-ish, I wish he was real and in my life boxes for me. He’s sexy as sin, caring, capable, will put Madison’s wishes before his own even when that causes him heartache and confusion. He forgives without drawing things out or making someone “pay” for hurting him. Simply put, Jonah is one sexy good guy and Madison was a fool for pushing him away (in my opinion). Now, Madison frustrated me on several levels, yet her strengths gave me glimpses into the woman she could become if she’d let the past go and live in the now or plan for a future with Jonah. It took me longer to warm up to or understand Maddi, but eventually, she won me over.

The Prosecutor is full of intrigue, questions, twists, and turns that always lead to surprise information. It’s an intricate puzzle that you’ll find yourself trying to fit awkward pieces into before finally finding the right fit. I don’t intend to give any of that part of this story away, it’s definitely best experienced firsthand. I was easily and quickly caught up in Madison’s and Jonah’s story while enjoying their out-of-control journey from the first page to the last. If you love a suspenseful mystery with that special touch of romance and answers withheld until the very end… then you’ll want to pick up The Prosecutor or the entire Marshal Law series for yourself.

I own a Kindle edition of this title.
