I didnt realise this was the final volume.of this side story, now I'm sad.... it was really fun!!!
But still a very good read, doesn't let the main series down!!

Now that Katarina is no longer Maria's bully, someone else fills her shoes. Except Lady Noellia has motives not only against Maria, but also Katarina. Meanwhile, Katarina continues to be completely oblivious to her actual situation as she strives to avoid the death penalty and prepares for her assumed inevitable exile.

But Katarina's doom event is looming on the horizon whether she's ready or not. Good luck.

Overall, this is a speed-run of the original series main arc, starting from when Katarina gets her memories back to when the doom event happens. A lot is (understandably) left out and a good bit is altered, but it's still an interesting read. Personally, I prefer the longer version.

Läste hela serien i ett svep så det blir en gemensam recension för alla.

Kändes som att det knappt var någon skillnad mellan denna och originalet förutom att hon är 15 och inte 8 år. Om jag ska döma denna som en what-if/spin-off, så är denna riktigt kass, eftersom det är för många liknande händelser som i originalet. Men som en fristående manga så är den underhållande, och den kan även läsas utan att man har läst originalmangan. Ärligt talat så tror jag att man gillar denna mer om man INTE har läst originalet, för då stör man sig inte på likheterna.

I was expecting this volume to end the series at the confrontation, which was almost as dramatic as I hoped for, but it does continue a bit past it. I really like that certain plotlines from the original continue with different perpetrators and a different conclusion.
I honestly don't have much more to say about this series than what I've said in the previous volumes' reviews, art is gorgeous and it's a really good bonus adventure with the characters you love from the original.

I'm enjoying this series for the different viewpoints and it's starting to get new events that happen as there are different villains in this one rather than the official. I still think she's a little too oblivious to the Prince's feelings. But if I have to say one thing I like more about this is that they use the Katerina Claes meetings she holds in her head far less.

What really carries this series, even through its goofiness, silly tropes, and various iterations; are the really well developed characters. I enjoy reading every volume I can get my hands on.

This turned out to be much better than i had anticipated. If we don't get an official ending for the original story, this will be my canon (it technically is canon, but you know what I mean).

Ahh, I REALLY thought they were gonna tie it up romantically at the end there! When Jeord chased her out to the balcony and straight out said the engagement wasn't just for convenience anymore I got so excited! But I guess that's tragically pretty normal for this series lmao. The charm of suffering.

I really like Sienna from this series honestly. The teacher as well, but it's sad Sienna isn't in the main series, I'd like to see more of her.

But yessss, exile was not only addressed but DIRECTLY. No more beating around the bush now yall! All the characters will at least understand that part of her "planning" now, even if her insistence will probably confuse them.

I do like how this series fills in some of the odd holes of the original series. ...I don't have an example off the top of my head, but I appreciate it in general. I also kinda like that her brother doesn't seem to be romantically in love with her.

Overall a great spin-off. I personally love it.
