Marrying My First Love: A Turned Out By His Hood Mentality Spin Off
Love is in the air, and wedding bells too. The Turned Out by His Hood Mentality crew is back, but this time under different circumstances. Twinkle and Truth, high school sweethearts who went their separate ways after high school, are now back in each other’s lives. They share a handsome son, they are more in love with each other than ever before, and right now, the main focus is them tying the knot. Twinkle wants the perfect wedding, and having a budget is unheard of. Finding the perfect wedding gown isn’t her only problem, though. Leading up to the wedding, she and Truth will experience some bumps in the road, which we hope aren’t significant enough for either of them to leave the other standing alone at the altar. We couldn’t bring back these characters without bringing back Normani and Billion, everyone’s favorite couple. These two are still happy in their union and working toward building a legacy for their family. However, one person just can’t resist going out of her way to piss this couple off, and that’s Denim, Billion’s baby mother. We all know that Normani is a sweet, quiet girl who grew up in church, but remember, she has been turned out by her husband’s hood mentality. There’s only so much that Denim will get away with before Normani loses her cool. Take a ride with these characters as they prepare for the wedding of the year. If there’s one thing that Diamond does well is creates memorable characters!! I loved this crew before I knew their beginning and now that I have the back story I am even more obsessed with them all.
Truth and Twinkle are finally getting their HEA!

Ok soo I been read the 1st series to this but I am just getting back to read my girl. I must say of course I still love her and her characters and the way she tells a story. It always has that realistic feel that I love. So yes Denim had me rolling my eyes but I think she grew on me just a little bit and I do want her to find someone lol but it's probably the romantic in me. But honey Truty definitely had me dying when he whooped Juno and when Normani put them paws on Denim it wa classic but when tied Billion to that bad I lost it 😂😂😂. On to the rest of the spin off

I’m a sucker for happily ever afters
I loved this story. I loved that Twinkle got her HEA, with a real man. Like I stated in my review of Turned Out by his hood mentality, I wish Monterious didn’t get a HEA, he didn’t deserve it. Normani and Billion are still couple goals. I’m glad Denim got hers, she’s just an unhappy bully.

I am so happy for Truth and Twinkle. Denim needs to get it all together. Normani and Billion are a match made in heaven. I love that couple! Glizy I can not and I mean can not wait to read about him because from the description that Normani gave I have to know more. Loved it 😍

Good read spin off!
I have to leave enough details for me to remember my vibe for the next spin off so beware! It took me awhile to remember my feelings from Turned Out By His Hood Mentality series until I found my past reviews. Twinkle and Truth were the stand out fave couple in the series so I was so happy to witness their matrimony. I still think Monty with Trinity is like a consolation prize even though he claims to love and want to honor her. Billion has so much baggage with his fake baby momma. I guess everything can’t be sunshine and rainbows for him and Normani. I look forward to seeing what’s up with Liam and Naomi. Glizzy is going to be fun to read about. I also look forward to Aaron learning the truth about his dead beat and bonding with his sisters. My favorite part was the conversation the ladies had at the bachelorette party in Vegas! It really peaked my interest in wtf Mia and Beatz have going on. They giving me TI and Tiny vibes ( not the potentially criminal ones tho)😂!

Man, why must Normani daddy got to cause chaos every time he comes to visit. They want peace. Juno and Nate was on a dummy mission. Didn't they know that Truth had men that will kill for him? So he wouldn't throw his career away and his family. Demin is bitter, she didn't learn nothing being in a coma for three months. You would think she would come out a different person. Billionaire didn't play you. You played yourself. Normani didn't take your life, that life wasn't promised to you. Mia is just trying to say she got cheated on without saying she got cheated on. Aaron is going to find out their daddy isn't a good man and he blames other people for his own problems that he caused. Truth scared the mess out of Twinkle when he didn't answer the phone. Of course it was a great catch up on Normani, Billion, and the babies. Imma need Denim to get her isht togetha bc that lil interaction isnt gon be enough for her to let her beef wit Normani go. She jus bitter for no reason 🙄 now i kinda pieced togetha a few next steps but im definitely waiting for this next book to hit (wink wink @ Naomi 🤣) monty finally grew up and started thinkin and listenin WONT HE DO IT im happy for him tho or wateva.

I love Billionaire him and all of fine chocolate self. I was excited to read about the Knox crew as always drama to keep you entertained. It’s was great to see everyone progressing and I was very happy to see Twinkle finally get her happy ending. Now I’m excited to see if Naomi will take a chance and pursue her inquiry into Billionaire’s boy Glizzy. Can Glizzy show Naomi what a man can do to a woman body woooh I sure hope so. Can’t wait for them next installment.

This book was so good, it wasn't fast paced it didn't have a bunch of action it was just a great wedding story! I feel like Diamond set us up for some drama to come our way in the upcoming spinoff which I'm looking forward too. If you want a cute little wedding story this is the book for you.

Truth and Twinkle's wedding was everything! Twinkle was spazzing on everyone for good reason. Truth loved her and wanted to make sure she was completely happy. Juno got everything he deserved. He should have known when to walk away. Normani had to show everyone that she was not to be played with! Can't wait to read the next book! Job well done.

Never disappointed my Diamond Johnson. Billionaire and Normani had a beautiful relationship I just lived them together. Twinkle was finally able to obtain her happy ending too. I'm so thankful that there is going to be a spinoff and I honestly can't wait.

It was a decent easy book to read. How it is not a spin-off. It did not heavily focus on Twinkle and Truth or their wedding. They still seemed like side characters. The Raniyah story line seemed a little out of place but if her family is getting a book then I get it. Overall it was a nice wrap up to the series.
