CAITLYN

You don’t know me.

I do the work behind the scenes. The I-will-not-only-make-your-dirty-little-secrets-disappear-but-also-transform-your-life work.

I am the go-to publicist and manager in the wild world of entertainment.

I’m also a damn good single mom to the most adorable four-year-old ballbuster.

Despite my nonexistent dating life, in the eternal words of Beyoncé, I slay.

But good Lordt y’all, I was not ready for Blue King. ⠀
The king of the NBA. Brother to the popstar prince, Delaware King. Ridiculously sexy alpha-hole with a heart as big as Texas.

He’s the epitome of swoon, and also my biggest headache. My newest client, and the man who has haunted my filthy dreams ever since we…⠀
Nope, we’re forgetting that night, remember?

How’s that working out for you, girl?
Not great, because it seems like every single moment with Blue King makes me want a thousand more.

F*** me. I think I’m falling for my client. ⠀

BLUE

You already know who I am. ⠀
You’ve probably chanted my name from the stands. You may even have my number on your back and my gorgeous face plastered on your kid’s bedroom wall.

Blue King, NBA living legend. Three-time champion. Bleeding heart philanthropist. America’s favorite boy next door.

But underneath all of that, I’m a mess.

Turns out, confessing your love to your best friend/your brother’s soulmate does not end well. ⠀
You know what else doesn’t result in a happily ever after? Running away from home in a raging hurricane of emotions and even worse decisions, resulting in many drunken nights and a fight with a brick wall that ends with a broken wrist, a pissed off team, and a tarnished reputation.

Hello, rock bottom. It’s really nice to meet you. ⠀
Now you know why I needed Caitlyn Jones. The publicist of publicists. A true boss, with a penchant for hot pink, F-bombs, and sky-high stilettos.

She’s ballsy and beautiful in every single way, and she’s making me feel things that I have never felt before—not even with Zoey.

F*** me. I think I’m falling for my publicist. ⠀
Yeah, I didn’t see that one coming either.

Five giant stars for this one!

Blue King was everything I knew he’d be, Andrea did not disappoint! And Caitlin, she was the perfect sassy strong woman. I loved them together & I loved reading all the angst & build up to their epic love story.

Extra stars for all the hotness too. Damn, they were fire together. Chloe was the cutest icing on the cake and the cameos of Del, Zoey & Babs were amazing. I cannot wait for Clay’s story!

A fantastic five star read.

Original review:

Thank you, Andrea Hopkins for this ARC copy!

OK, I had to gather my thoughts for a moment before starting to write this review, so I'm going to start by saying: If you came here before the release and wonder if you want to read this book, this is your sign. Do yourself a favor and pre-order this now. If you're reading after release date, go ahead and buy this. You won't regret it.

This is one of the funniest, sexiest and yet sweetest books I've ever read! Another example of how beautiful the single-parent trope is. This trope is so well written and developed in this book that it will melt your heart with so much chemistry in the little family Blue and Cait formed with little Chloe (the real star of the show), it went beyond adorable and it made sad that it had to end.

Behind that cocky and flirty facade, Blue is the kindest and most selfless human being. He wears his heart on his sleeve. This man loves and feels too much and his amazing heart had so much to give that it melted my heart once he found everything he needed in Cait. That was what allowed him to experience the level of intimacy with Caitlyn that he didn't experienced with anyone else. His journey coming back from pain and utilizing his energy for greater goods was inspiring in so many ways. I loved that he wasn't the perfect prince charming we often read in sports romances, and appreciated so much that he also didn't stay as the shadow of his brother. His character developed and evolved to discovered that sometimes the second chances life gives you are far better than that first time you screw up, because maybe that screw up was going to prepare you for what was coming. And Blue didn't see Cait and Chloe coming!

Oh, Caitlyn! What a badass she is! Her heart of gold and determination was one of the highlights of this wonderful book. She was so passionate about helping others to become better people, that's why she was great at her job. She was a wonderful and loving mother to Chloe, she didn't have enough recognition for everything she did and that's exactly what made her the perfect jar so Blue could pour out all the love he had to give. She helped Blue to overcome his insecurities and fears by letting him prove to her how worthy he was of being welcomed to her family. I loved how intense she was about taking care of her daughter and the fact that Blue gave Chloe the same level of priority made the entire romance even more passionate and made me root for this family till the end.

The combination of Blue's cocky and flirty attitude and Cait's sassiness and badass personality got me hooked from the first page and gave me all the feels I could feel. The sexual tension that build up the slow burn was so satisfying because it was just and addition to the beautiful and real connection they had. The friendship they developed outside work with the hilarious banter and sexy interactions, made the attraction more obvious and the anticipation even more intense.

This book had everything I was hoping for and more. Sassy attitude, quirky and sarcastic dialogue, beautiful and ─Good Lord!─ super hot steam, the right amount of angst and undeniable and swoony real love.

This book is utter perfection and I'm ready to read it again.

Five stars cause 10 isn’t an option

I don’t even know how to explain how much I loved this book. It was perfection from start to finish. I have never been such an emotional mess reading a book because it made me so freaking happy. I am flat out IN LOVE WITH BLUE KING, seriously. And I’ve got a pretty serious crush on Caitlyn as well. The joy of reading a character like Blue just can’t be put into words. He is perfect. To quote the author “Blue King is pure sugar, spice, and everything filthy and nice.” The writing style is fun and easy, and this woman clearly knows her sports because the references and details are on point. Cait is my favorite kind of fmc, strong, confident and vulnerable when you’ve earned it. Black AF and she doesn’t let love define her but let’s it change her for the better. The supporting cast is great. The plot I there but almost secondary. This is a ROM-COM! This is two people falling hard and fast. It’s sweet, it’s funny, it an amazing read. And I’m happy I don’t have the book hangover I thought I was going to have so I can get to Andrea’s next book cause I just wanna stay in her world.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ “I want real. I want her. I want all of her. F**k, I think I want to date my publicist.”

What You’ll Find:
✔️Sports Romance
✔️Enemies to Lovers
✔️Single Mom
✔️Steamy AF
✔️Dual POV

Blue is an NBA legend. When confessing his love for his brothers girlfriend goes wrong he goes off on a tear of rash bad decisions, ruining his reputation, before hitting rock bottom. He’ll need the help of the best publicist out there-Caitlyn.

Blue is charismatic. Fun, flirty. Confident. And playful. But at times, mostly in the beginning I wanted him to pull it together. At the same time, feeling for him and his heartbreak. Caitlyn is fierce and sassy. And just the perfect match for him. They are both a little vulnerable under their exteriors from past circumstances, that I think helped connect them so well. Yet this slow burn sizzled with sexual tension and chemistry, that at times had me frustrated for them! Even if it made total sense.

There are so many great characters in this one. Little Chole will absolutely steal your heart. And Babs, that raunchy old lady is still as crazy as ever. What a hoot! It moved a little slow for me, which could totally have been just a me problem, but I still really enjoyed it! Now I need Clay!! I’ve been dying for his story! Don’t miss this one!

Thank you to the author for this eARC in exchange for my honest review!

I loved Del. Then I met Blue! This enemies to lovers storyline grabbed me from the beginning. Caitlyn and Blue dance around their feelings for quite some time and it's humorous to watch. Love them together. And then Chloe! Oh my heart the way Blue interacts with her. Adorable!

I've read ALL of Andreas books and I have LOVED every single one. When I read the first book of this series Back to Delaware I couldn't put it down, I was HOOKED. I loved Del but BLUE was it for me. There was something about him that pulled me in right from the start so when he got his own book... Lortd!!! I read this book, my beautiful and broken but loving mans book in less than 3 hours. I couldn't put the book down at all. The relationship between Blue and Cait is epic. the chemistry is so hot I thought my kindle would melt. It was funny as all hell and found myself laughing out loud so many times. I knew Blue was it for me and this book truly confirmed it. Andrea creates real, funny and fantastic stories that just consume you.

Fade to Blue was worth the wait. I can't emphasize that enough. I've been salivating for this story since I read Back to Delaware over a year ago.

I loved our fierce heroine, Cait, and her sweet mini me. I loved the peeks into Del & Zoey, grumpy Clay, and Babs. Let's talk Blue King. Alpha. Broken. Charismatic. I could go through the whole damn alphabet with this guy. Cait is perfect for him - they're perfect for each other - in every way. A little family that was just waiting to be formed. I loved that Blue found a new deeper, love here. I love that he fixed his own mess. I just loved the whole damn thing. Highly recommend if you love sports romance, workplace romance, h e a t, and happily ever afters!

Thank you to Andrea Hopkins for the chance to read Fade to Blue early! I was given an ARC in exchange for my honest opinion.

This is my first book by Andrea Hopkins that I’ve read, but it definitely won’t be my last! I was cracking up from the very first chapter. The banter was on fire, Blue and Cait’s chemistry was off the charts, and Chloe was the most adorable little firecracker. I loved everything about this book. The single parent trope was carried out so well. I loved that Blue and Chloe had such a pure relationship from the very start, and every interaction between them just made my heart smile.

It was so funny, steamy, swoony, and heartwarming all in one. How? HOW?!

Received an ARC in return for an honest review!

This is part of the Kings brother series but can be read as a standalone. You definitely want to read Delaware by Andrea Hopkins
*********************************************
What if a momentarily lapse in judgement in responding to a physical attraction changed the path of your life forever?

The story follows an unlikely, steamy encounter between two people that knew of each other but never met in person. A chase that develops into something bigger and fragile that only what’s real can stand. That’s their story. Blue and Caitlyn!

He is cocky and ridiculously charming with the biggest heart. Blue has been hurt before but he is not afraid to give his heart again and go after it aggressively with all the suave and humour an alpha male brings even if that means pretending. He fell hard. Meeting Cait was the game changer. She is fierce, bold and very much comfortable in her own skin but her heart is guarded and her little big secret is one she is not sure she is ready to share with Blue.

Strap in Hopkins fans because Blue and Cait is pure fire. The banter is so tangible you will feel as if you are right there listening in. You will surely have a bunch of laugh out loud moments. The friendship is so real and the chemistry is a page turner that will have you talking about it for days. You might want to grab a cold drink because Blue is all swoon. I mean Andrea leaves no stone unturned when it comes to these two and the hot magma that is their connection. All the feels especially involving a certain bright eyed 4-year-old that will steal your heart.

Will Blue discover real love? Find his person? Will Cait surrender her heart to the giant cocky alpha male and just maybe allow her reigns to fall? And will BABS get her own book?

You’ll just have to find it between the pages and you won’t be disappointed

Happy reading!

--------------------------------------------------------------------

So I definitely already knew that I loved Blue and all of our side characters so I couldn’t wait to dive into this beauty. Y’all! SO. FREAKING. GOOD. Andrea’s best work easily.

-

Blue is on the heels of heartbreak and to put it simply well, the boy is a mess. He makes all the wrong decisions which lands him in hot water and in need of a publicist. Not just any publicist, THE publicist. Enter Caitlyn. Blue has met his match. He is able to find the clarity and closure he desperately needed at the end of Back to Delaware. Cait was able to find the stability and security that she didn’t know that she needed.

-

Have no fear, our favorite raunchy senior is back. Babs did not come to play y’all, she was utterly hilarious and plenty inappropriate. We also get to meet a bunch of new side characters like my personal fave, Chloe. I usually am indifferent about kids in books but Chloe was great. She wasn’t just Cait’s kid, she breathed life into the story and was actually a part of it. Oh and who would I be if I didn’t mention Cait’s best friend Lyndsey? She just might be my favorite.

-

I cannot recommend this series enough, every time I would sit down to read it, I literally had to force myself to put it down. I could have easily read this in one sitting, ya know if I didn’t have 4 needy children. I am over here dying, I mean (im)patiently waiting for Clay’s book. Truthfully, I could read 100 books about this group. All the characters are so captivating and authentic.

Shame

I was really looking forward to Blue’s story and unfortunately I was disappointed. It’s surprising because I liked both Blue and Cait but the book fell to grasp my interest. I guess it’s because the author made it very introspective but instead of Blue accepting that although he loved Zoey, she didn’t love him back so he had to move on, the author did the usual thing of saying that basically it wasn’t love. I strongly disagree. You can love different people, differently and it doesn’t make what you feel invalid. I felt that was a cope out, basically saying that Blue’s stages of grief were just him being stupid. Both Zoe and Del really annoyed me with the whole »you were being unfair » and worse making Blue feel like he has to apologize. He doesn’t. Let’s face it Zoey in a way used him as a crutch knowing how he felt. He left to regroup so they should respect that and leave him be. They carried on with their lives and should allow him to do the same. It so happened that he met someone else but if he hadn’t that fine. It’s his timetable now, he doesn’t owe them to make them feel confortable.
Another thing I didn’t like with the book is the lack of outside life. Blue is a public figure, i know Cait being a publicist understand to a certain extent but it’s different when it’s your life. How did they cope with the publicity? How did Chloe cope? What about when he started traveling again?
As for the past, the story with Chloe’s father was brushed over which was a shame considering that Cait waited years to connect with someone else, so clearly it was significant. On a practical point of view it would be nice to know if he gave up his parental rights.

“Because of this. Your heart is as big as the sea, Blue. You make a girl wanna get swept under its tide.”

“I want to try everything with you, Blue King.”

Oh my, Blue King, you swoon me. Oh, my heart ♥️. In Fade to Blue, we meet Blue King and Caitlyn Jones. Blue is a professional basketball player who is suffering from heartbreak and because of that, he makes a decision that puts a strain on his image. So he needs the best, most badass publicist he can find, so that brings Caitlyn Jones into the picture. Caitlyn is a strong, independent, single mom who isn't here to play games. But, what she wasn't expecting was to find something in Blue that she was missing from her life, a partner. Someone who would be there for her and Chloe. Gosh, I loved Caitlyn and Blue’s relationship and how it unfolded. It was beautiful.

Now, Blue’s relationship with Chloe, Caitlyn’s daughter, oh my gosh my heart ❤️ it was amazing. I loved how from the moment he met his little Mama he loved her. It was so sweet. Talk about swooning.

“I believe in you, Giant. You got this,”

“Giant?” “Yeah, little mama?” “I love you, too.” Annnnd there goes my heart. “Little mama?” “Yes, Giant?” “I love you back.”

Gosh I just love the King Brothers and I can't wait for Clay’s book. If you haven't checked out any of Andrea Hopkins work, you need to. It's amazing.

Glad I found the Love Letters From Paradise SE of this!

I love the tension building between Blue & Caitlyn.

I definitely liked Blue’s POV more. It felt more complete and more engaging then Caitlyns’.

But I loved the daughter bonding moments that all three of them had it felt so family oriented. This also made me want to read the first book having to do with his brother and his first love. And when I mean his, I mean, Blue’s cause I was in first love.

That’s right, he’s in love with his brothers soulmate and running away from the pair because they finally got together.

But I would definitely recommend and I would reread!

Finally i have Blue in my hands!
And let me tell you he didn't disappoint!
If you read Back To Delaware (highly recommend because Del is 🤤) anyway.. If you read book one then you'll very acquainted with why Blue left.
Blue needed time to heal alone without seeing the constant reminder of what he doesn't have.
When he meets Cait there is just something that draws him to her.
I loved their relationship, i loved the constant banter and the sassy-ness from Cait. She was amazing! She was ao easy to love and understand.
Blue, honestly i have loved him from Del's book, and in his own book is completely blew me away. The war swirling round in his head and the fact he is genuinely the nicest guy made my heart thump.
And don't get me started on Chloe. That little girl stole my heart from the first time you see her.
I loved everything about that little mama. She was cute and had her mama's sass and she knew it. She had her giant wrapped round her little finger.
I'm so in love with this book, it had my heart skipped a beat a few times.
I'm so excited for Clay's book!

This book was fun, straight up fun — from the snarky banter, family life with a witty four year old, sweet moments, and Blue & Cait’s penchant for openly narrating their never-ending horniness (is this a word?). Seriously, they were like teenagers in heat. LOL!!

Blue is one of those perfect book boyfriends, hot, charming, with a stellar sense of humor. I enjoyed how Cait is a woman in charge in the business world, but has a soft side. It was nice to have a well rounded character.

I was entertained throughout the whole story. Blue was definitely worth the wait!

Yessss I loved this single parent/sports romance. Everything about it. Caitlyn is tasked to manage the monumental f#ck up Blue. He's a pro sports athlete that keeps screwing up his social image. It's a bit of lust-at-first-sight on his behalf and his confidence knew no bounds. I think that's what I loved most about this book, because it was believable that a good looking sports athlete wouldn't know what to do when told no. Caitlyn makes him work for it and he does. This book was funny at times and it delivered the perfect chemistry.

After reading Back to Delaware my heart bleed for Blue. I wanted a love for him, a love to heal him, a love to help him see past what I knew was more infatuation than love. I’m happy to say that’s exactly what I got and it was so wonderful reading Blue’s interaction, inappropriate emails and teasing texts with Caitlyn, and let’s not forget the witty oversexed Babs (she truly makes the books fun).

Such a cute read and my biggest takeaway is the bonus character of little Chloe.

I loved how straight up and honest Caitlyn was. She held nothing back and brought out feelings in Blue he’d never felt before. This book had me laughing out loud from her thoughts to the conversations between her and Blue as well as their friends. I really did wonder how Blue would deal with his broken heart and this story 100% delivered a fun, sexy and steamy read that was full of love ❤️❤️❤️

Fade to Blue

Thanks to Chloe, I enjoyed this book even more than the first one. (She was so flippen cute) This was another one with lots of things I love; a feisty and strong willed single mom, a sexy AF athlete, intact chemistry that only gets hotter and the cameos from Babs were a bonus. I few little plot points I was thrilled with but it was an entertaining story overall.

When I opened this book, I loved it...then there was scene (spoilers not included so a little vague) and I wasn't sure I was going to like it at all. But then as the book moved on, I loved it again. Blue and Cait are two people who are just perfect for each other. I did not read Delaware's book, so while I didn't fully understand the relationship between Blue and Zoey past what was shared, I didn't feel as though I was missing anything. But honestly and truly, the best part of this book is Chloe. She is an adorable little spitfire of a girl. She added that much of an addition to this story. Blue and Cait had this instantaneous connection, and worked forward....not without some hesitations on Caitlyn's part. But they weren't unfounded concerns. There isn't a lot of angst in the book which I loved, and once they are truly together, while they have a hiccup, they work things out quickly and maturely. I loved these two, and they were hot and steamy together. And the relationship between Chloe and "Giant" is absolutely adorable! And Babs is hilariously ridiculous. You don't want to miss out!

A Steamy and Sweet Romance with an Adorableness You Can’t Even Handle

Blue King is heartbroken. Because he can’t have the woman he wants (see the first book in the series, Back to Delaware), he runs away to a completely different state, acts out, and makes a mess of his life. And since he’s an NBA star, he needs a little help to get out of the public relations nightmare he created for himself.

Enter Caitlyn. She’s a spitfire who cusses like a sailor and is just the right person to get and keep him in line.

I loved how these two fought their attraction to each other first. I loved how much Blue teases Cait — and how much she secretly loves it. I loved how adorable Chloe is (read the book to find out who that is). I loved their steamy scenes — because Andrea can Bring. The. Steam.

But I loved the most how these two work through their problems to become the people they need to be. How they fight for each other despite their fears. And the EPILOGUE. *heart eyes*

Blue and Cait will stick with me for awhile. Their love story was an amazing mix of sexy and sweet. Definitely five stars.

At the beginning of this book I wanted to slap Mr. Blue King upside his giant head. Caitlyn is amazing and he’s toying with her? Nah.
Thankfully he got his head out of his butt and started treating her like the Queen she was.
This book had adorable parts - hey Chloe - and some crazy hot parts - hey, voyer scene - a bit of everything in between.
What a ride!

I enjoyed this book a lot! When I heard this book had a basketball player, adorable kid moments, and all the steam, I knew I had to sign up for the arc, lol. Basketball players… yes please!

I like Blue’s character, although he can be cocky at times. I like that he helped rebuild a homeless shelter in Oregon and is helping to do the same in Texas.

Caitlyn is a badass boss mom. She’s very attentive with her clients and she’s a great single mom to Chloe. When Blue walks into her home life and meets Chloe, they build the most adorable relationship. The angst and steam are delicious.

I know Babs is supposed to be an over-the-top, no filter kind of woman, which I don’t mind, but I felt like at times she was a little too much.

Thank you so much, Andrea, for an early copy in exchange for an honest review.

♥If I could have a book turned into a movie it would be Fade to Blue! It is one of those books you need to read again which is exactly what I’m going to do!
♥The chemistry between Blue and Cait is H O T. The banter, the angst and slow burn drew me in from the very first page.
♥Cait is fierce! She’s sassy, strong, selfless and a fantastic mother to little Chloe who stole the show! She is the perfect woman for cocky badass Blue who loves and feels deeply, who screws up and comes right back. I loved all his imperfections and how she embraced every single one. Seeing them come together and be a little family was everything!
♥This book was everything I hoped for and needed, a second chance fairytale!

Well done Andrea! ♥
