I’d been prepared to die on this planet… but now I have something to live for.

Zecri

I’ve waited many cycles to carry out my rescue mission for a fellow warrior. But when I re-enter the misery I escaped to free him, I get more than I bargained for. Much more. A human female who’s as scarred as I am, and who’s willing to risk her life for the most precious thing on this desert planet.

Sybil

This place absolutely sucks, and I’ve been in some pretty terrible places. I would have run myself through with one of my captor’s blades long ago if it wasn’t for this innocent creature who’s dependent on me. I won’t let her down. I can’t. But I’m only a human on a planet full of monsters.

Until I meet the most deadly monster of them all. He’s scarred and wears an emotionless mask, but I can see the simmering rage and revenge underneath it all. I also see a soul needs me as much as I need him. But first, we have to get free. Maybe together… we can be heroes.

The stolen warriors are all home now!

The following ratings are out of 5:
Romance: 💚💜💙🩷
Story/Plot: 📕📗📙📘📔
Heat/Steam: 🔥🔥
Chemistry: 🧪🧪🧪🧪
World building: 🌏🌍🌎🌏🌍
Character development: 😒🤩😀🙂
Narrator(s): 🎙🎙🎙🎙🎙
Narration type: Dual Narration

The heroine: Sybil - she was a Human female had been on the planet of Vixlicin for nearly a decade. Grayven had always taught her never to trust anyone. Not that she would, after being abducted from Earth, and sold as a slave. She takes care of Drixonian/Human hybrid, a five-cycle-old female child named Riven and she worries about how she will protect Riven when she grows up. For the past eight years she has been owned by a Gatrix name Kilzer, an insect-like species. He goes to a pleasure house every ten cycles since his species isn’t compatible with humans, and is taking Sybil and Riven along this time.

The Hero: Zecri - he was a Drixonian that had been experimented on by the Uldani, another race of alien that were trying to create super soldiers for themselves. Zecri was enslaved in a pleasure palace after the Uldani determined the experiments failed, Rexor was sold to the owners of a Gladiators that fought in an arena, Mikko who was thrown in the pit, which was a prison, and Feniz was made to work in the mines. After Rexor escaped and came for his fellow stolen, they all wanted to get revenge on those who caused their horrific existences. The other three did that for some time with Zecri’s help but have since all found their fated mates and moved back to their home planet of Corin.

The Story: Zecri had his own mission he wanted to carry out after helping all his friends and he wanted to do that alone; he also never planned to find a mate after all his time as a slave in a pleasure palace. He had been tortured and scarred, both physically and emotionally. Though he planned to go back, to rescue his fellow Drixonian, a young warrior named Grayven who had been sold before Zecri escaped. What he doesn’t expect to find at the pleasure palace is a human female who is fragile, yet is strong and protective as well, but what he is really surprised to see is just who Sybil is protecting.

This setup has some serious weight behind it—layered emotional depth, high stakes, and a richly developed world. Zecri’s journey from experimentation to enslavement and eventual rebellion is powerful, and Sybil’s fierce protectiveness over Riven adds an emotional anchor that could shape the entire story. The way their paths intersect at the pleasure palace promises an intense, gripping moment.

What stands out is the way the author balances their individual trauma with their resolve—not just victims of their circumstances, but fighters carving their own destinies. There’s also a sharp contrast between Sybil’s learned distrust and Zecri’s hardened resistance to emotional connections, making their eventual relationship arc ripe for development.

This audiobook was narrated from multiple perspectives, done in dual narration by Oliver Highpoint and Rachel Woods. Oliver Highpoint has a clear, pleasant voice. Though he isn’t one of my favorite male narrators, he is very good. Rachel Woods also has a decent voice, though there is something about it that grates on my nerves a bit, but not enough to make me stop listening and I got used to it after a while.

Quick(ish) Review

A sweet ending to a spin-off series, I love the found family aspects as well as (mildly spoilerish) the lack of miracle cures. The romance is definitely in the formula established i in the original Drixonian warriors series but still managed to give a slight twist on it. This isn’t really a standalone and best for fans of the series, but if you are a fan i think you’ll enjoy it.

This hurts...

I was stupid excited to finally read Zecri's story. I practically counted the days. While it was nice/heartbreaking to learn his past, I am glad he found a good partner in Sybil. What I didn't like was how there didn't feel like a connection between the two of them. It felt minor. I guess I was just hoping for a more intense connection because he seems like an intense Drix. I guess it's because there was so much peril, plus Riven was around, they didn't really have time to connect the way I wanted them to. The ending with Wargo felt rushed and unnecessary. It literally came out of left field. I guess I'm just bummed because this will be the last new Drixonian Warrior book for awhile, if at all and I just wanted it to be.....more. At least they weren't screaming their orgasms in this one though.

And then there was one Stolen Warrior left, Zecri; on a mission to find and free his friend that had been imprisoned with him in the pleasure house. What he finds… is a small human female with a precious secret.

Sybil was amazing. Strong, protective, and fierce. Oh my goodness was she fierce. The first time she meets Zecri she boldly stands up to him and not many would stand up to Zecri...and as time passes, instead of standing up to him, she stands up for him. No one has ever fought for Zecri… (heartbreaks)

Zecri, the last of the stolen and experimented on warriors left on the forsaken planet of Vixlicin with a mission to free his friend Graven. Like the other stolen warriors, he is scarred, hurt, and no longer feels worthy of love, no longer feels worthy of honor, no longer feels...anything. But a feisty little human is going to show him there is a reason to feel, reason to hope and to dream, even after years being tortured in a pleasure house, even after having his choices taken away. Maybe Sybil can’t heal the scars on the outside, but she may be able to give Zecri a reason to dream again.

This book/series had fantastic world building, characters you can’t help but love (or hate), and a story that had me flying through the pages. Once I reached the ending, I was both happy and sad. Happy with everyone's ending, happy I got to catch up with all the Drixonian's, and happy that after all they had suffered, they were in a better place. I was sad because I know this is the end of the journey and I have loved both the Drixonian Warriors and Stolen Warriors series and I hate when series I love end…

I definitely recommend this book, the Drixonian Warriors and Stolen Warriors series.

"I'll never want anyone like I want you. I'd choose you in a past life, in this life, and in all my lives in the future. It would always be you, Sybil."

5 stars

I knew when I first started this series that Zecri's story was going to break my heart. His tough exterior hides a horrific past that he was able to overcome, but his thoughts have been consumed by vengeance and retribution since his escape. During what he thought would be a rescue mission of revenge, Zecri was shocked to find a stubborn human female and a one-of-a-kind Drixonian chit. His focus immediately shifts to the protection and safety of both females, but the fates have brought them together for a deeper reason.

I loved how protective and patient Sybil was with Zecri. He was scarred both inside and out because of what he has survived in the past, but Sybil was the perfect balm to Zecri's turbulent mind. She was stubborn, caring, and unafraid to protect those she loved, which drove Zecri mad with worry and lust in equal measures. I loved how protective and fascinated Zecri was by Sybil. He didn't know what to make of this tiny but fierce human who valued his life more than her own, but he couldn't resist the pull of her kind yet fiery spirit. The intimate scenes between them were so powerful as Zecri's vulnerability was so palpable, and I just loved as he was finally able to embrace his passion. I'm sad this is the end of the Drixonian Warriors, but I will definitely continue reading Ella's books🖤

Tropes: fated mates, forced proximity, protector hero, strong single mom, 'touch her and die' vibes, hero with a dark past, captive heroine, 'you deserve better than me' vibes, fake relationship, alien romance, found family, STEAMY🔥

I was most excited for this book of the 4 and honestly was a little disappointed. Zecri's character lost some of his intensity and I just didn't feel the connection between him and Sybil. Plus the climax confrontation with Wargo was just awkward.
Still I really enjoyed this series and I'm heading straight to start EM's Kaluma series and read her entire backlist, sooooo obviously she's still got a super fan out of me 😁

This was my favorite of the series. Of course when you add an adorable drixonian-human hybrid kid, you can't go wrong.

Zecri is the last of the stolen Drixonian men who were experimented on by the Aldani and in his case they were trying to use him as a breeder to create a super warrior race or something. In looking for his long lost friend, he meets Sybil and his friend's daughter, who is one of the rare Drixonian females. The action was pretty similar, with them fighting against the people that had kidnapped them, and also a gang leader in one of the areas they are going through to escape.

As usual I liked. the two main characters, but Riven, the 5 year old was adorable and really made this book. A big issue for Zecri was that he was sterile because of being experimented on, and he felt like he wasn't worthy of having a mate because he couldn't advance his dwindling race.

I think I've read all the Drixonian books now, so I look forward to reading more books by Ella Maven.

The last in the second series about Drixonian warriors. In this book Zecri goes back to the pleasure house he and another Drix had been imprisoned in, to save his friend. Instead, he finds that his friend was killed and the new mission becomes rescuing a human (Sybil) and the half-drix child (Riven) of his friend. New twist on the theme.

There are glaring problems. First, Sybil/Riven's owner brings them to the pleasure house, half a planet away... WHY? There's no reason for it. They're not compatible with their owner, they're not going to be used by anyone... Maven just *decides* this is going to happen, for the sake of her story. That's... bad writing. And it mars the premise, from the start.

Then Maven has Sybil stealing the key to Zecri's chains by ripping them off the belt of a guard - *AND THE GUARD NEVER NOTICES* that??? Seriously? Hard to believe THAT little nugget, too.

The writing in this is a mess, too. On one page, Zecri tells them there are no Plikens in Gaulz. Two pages later, he's surprised there are no Plikens in Gaulz. ?!??! Maven has him snatch her by the wrist. "He squeezed tight, but didn't let go," she writes. Um... no, squeezing tight would definitely NOT be letting go, actually. ((sigh.))

Zecri says of his lack of concern over a Rigostix threat: "I'd rather protect what I have than try to steal something that isn't mine." I think she meant, "I'd fight harder to protect what I have than to steal something that isn't mine." Because the first version doesn't really convey.

And here's another: "Angry? What was I angry about?' Oh yeah. Uldani. 'Well, yeah, uh, I'm really mad,' I said." (((!!!!!????!!!!!))) Does that sound *angry* to you? Cuz... not so much, to me. How about this one: "The feel of my body reacting without my consent was violating." !? Pretty sure hard-ons happen without consent ALL the time, actually. And on Pg 97 he's trying to make sense of her tongue in his mouth... except Drixonians are raised to be trained lovers from a young age, according to all the books before this one, with their tongues pierced for optimal female pleasure. So... he doesn't know how to do/be what he does/is? That's... not even right.

Just weirdness that indicates she needs a proofreader. 'Del' isn't getting the job done, and that's not even including spelling/grammatical errors.

Other things I wasn't fond of - Zecri has significant wrist scarring, but somehow this has no bearing on his loks. What the farts is up with that? Suddenly Mikko got his fire back, again, although Jenny had 'healed' him of it with her cora-eternal. /insertsighhere. And then there's the whole awe-and-wonder of the existence of Riven when she arrives on Corin... but they already *HAVE* a half-Drix female in Bazer, so... why the shock'n'awe? It was kind of contrived. By a lot.

I honestly DO like the premise of these. They were just executed poorly. I'm tempted to give the alien/rescuer trop a try, myself... couldn't be much worse, I figure.

So far, I have really enjoyed these books! I love the aspects of found family, brotherhood, fated mates,, and forced proximity. All of these stories have been exceedingly sweet, while still have very steamy moments. But am I the only one who is wondering WHYYYYYYY they never went looking for the other females that were on the different ships with their mates? Like it doesn't make sense. They randomly will come across a human female who was on a ship with a bunch of other women and they have to get her off the planet immediately to keep her safe. I understand. But ay that point they aren't super bonded to her, yet it doesn't cross any of their minds to try to find the other women who were brought there with her. Idk this is something that kept popping up in my mind while I read. Also, we have an entire planet of Drox males, the vast majority of which are unmated, so have a few more women around would be nice. But also, we have a ton of unmated males...who know that a bunch of their men/brothers/friends were taken and sold off planet...and they now have access to a way to travel through space. Why wasn't it a priority to send at least a squad off to try to find any of their men who were still alive? Or send some men to the planet they know has a huge slave trade to try to save human women who they know are being kidnapped by the same aliens who took their women? Idk, this just kept going through my mind. I know this might come across as a negative review, but it isn't meant to be! I really enjoy these books for what they are! I love the idea of fated mates and these Drix who will do anything to protect their women. I just also have questions lol

Alien abduction PNR with darker themes

This is the 4th story of a spin-off series from the Drixonian Warriors series, although it is not necessary to read the original series before beginning this story I highly recommend both be read in publication date order for maximum reader satisfaction and to prevent spoilers. There are multiple reoccurring characters, a dynamic story universe that continues to build with each additional story, consecutive timelines and overarching themes throughout both series.

There are grammatical issues throughout this story, but like previous stories, nothing that was difficult for me to interpret. It has a strong storyline and interesting characters with a wide variety of personalities / backstories throughout the series.

The following could contain spoilers if you have not read any of the previous stories.

Last chance …

Zecri was abducted during a war with the Drixonian’s enemy, experimented on and still carries the scars where his machets were removed from his head, neck and back so he could serve as a breeder. He swore he would get free and then go back to rescue his friend and fellow Drixonian warrior, one of the best people he had ever met. Unfortunately when he arrives he doesn’t find his friend, only a human female protecting something even more precious …

If you like strong alpha males that are willing to do what is necessary to ensure the success of their mission, defend any female, but especially those under their protection, and can preserve in the most painful and dire circumstances, or strong females that may not be the strongest physically but are willing to lay it all on the line for those they care about, then I highly recommend this story and series.

Big Z finally gets the HEA he so deserve💖💖

Zecri is currently the last of the stolen warriors on his final mission to save a friend that was sold before they could escape. As he searches, he goes back to the place of his deepest pain the pleasure house of Fisk. He captured a glimpse of blue in a window and he's sure he's finally found his friend. What he's actually found is even more important. Sybil a human woman taken over 10 years ago and sold on the vixilian as a slave. Ever since her
friend Graven died she has taken a care of his new born daughter Riven as her own child. The only being she has been told she can trust is Zecri. When a male busts into the room they are staying at all she cares about is protecting her daughter she never dreams that the male who bursts in will be their savior . Sybil and Zecri have chemistry from the moment they meet. He respects her courage and she finally feels a sense of a safety she never thought to feel again. Both are ready and willing to fight their way off this planet to find a safe home for Riven it as they work together to accomplish this goal respect and love blooms strongly between them. But A doesn't feel worthy because of what the Uldani did to him but Sybil will do everything she can to show him just how worthy he really is. This is a fitting ending a story worthy of the Drixonian series. Loved every snack d of us and I truly hope is not the last time we see these fabulous big blue aliens. I also can't wait to see what Ella Maven has in store next. I love her characters and storyline so I'm looking forward to whatever is next💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖

omg!!! what an end!

The last of the stolen warriors has found their HEA. I most looked forward to zecris book after finding out about rexors book, after all his build up from daz and saxs books. Zecri suffered but he has mostly shut down to put forth a mask of indifference to protect what was left of his mind heart and soul. He was experimented on without his consent which left him unable to have chits. You could feel that agony throughout the whole book and how that drove him to feel inferior and unsuitable to be a mate. Then he was sold and once again lost his voice and ability to consent where he was held as a pleasure slave. Which is just whole other level of torture besides the physical punishments he got but it mocked all his culture stood for. He felt like he was nothing but a commodity and knew nothing of a kind touch. Sybil who was property cared for rivan, gravens child. Graven was zecris friend and he had planned to one day save him despite his promise to live a happy life should he escape. Zecri needed to free him, only to learn it was too late but that the late graven, and his late mate Beth’s baby, rivan needed a fierce warrior protector. Sybil was a momma bear personified and she did everything to care for her essentially adopted daughter. I loved how they all morphed into this beautiful family. The steamy moments were amazing but always held a sweet undertone for zecri finally realizing how it feels to be with someone who cares about you. Loved rivans badass moment, she kicked ass for her family. Loved the ending!! Can’t wait for more!!

Ever wondered what it would be like to copulate with one of the aliens creatures from the movie Avatar? Then these are the book for you!

This author is absolutely brilliant! They have balanced the perfect amount of action, adventure, desire and romance. I have read every single book in this series (Drixonian Warrior Series), including every book of the each offshoot, and cannot wait for the next one to come out. This book in this series is one of those offshoots. While staying true to the Drixonians we’ve come to love, this series adds a bit more with the warrior’s advancements; one can rage and fly, one can create fire with his hands, one can throw and regenerate his spikes, and the 4th one?.. you will just have to read and find out for yourself. There are a numerous amount of editorial errors throughout each book, but not enough to take away from the experience. I have even read a couple books twice because, well, holy hotness!

I will add, however, with a bit of disappointment, that while each book has different characters with different outlooks, each outcome is exactly the same. Boy saves girl, boy has issues about his past that prevents him from “claiming” girl, girl has exact same issues, girl saves boy somehow, “Fatas” gives both boy and girl matching wrist tattoos that mark them as mates, boy and girl finally accept their feelings for each other and live happily ever after. That’s the bases for each and every book. Still, I will read it over and over again with a sense of fulfillment.

All I have left to say is, “She is all!“

💛 “I’d choose you in a past life, in this life, and in all my lives in the future.”

I adore the Drixonians and their mates!

Zecri is the last stolen warrior remaining on planet Vixlicin. He’s strong, smart and protective. But his soul is so damaged and everything he’s been through in his past is beyond heartbreaking. I felt so sad for him but at the same time I admired his will to go on. And he’s willing to sacrifice everything to return to the place of horrors and save his friend. But what he finds there is unexpected.

Sybil is such an amazing character, too. She’s fierce, direct and caring. Even after being a slave for years on this planet, she’s still standing strong and doing her best to protect little Riven.

I absolutely loved their relationship. Both of them are broken, but together they make a whole and after everything they go through, they more than deserve healing, peace, love and a family.

Little Riven is so sweet and adorable, too!

And the ending was so heartwarming and perfect!

This final story has everything - emotions, drama, surprises, action, romance, steam and I loved it till the very last page.

What a wonderful finale to such magnificent series!

Drixonian warrior Zecri has waited for many cycles to rescue another warrior that was a prisoner with him, but when he goes back into that environment he gets much more than he ever bargained for - a human female who is as scared as him and who will willingly give her life for someone who is the most precious thing on the planet. Sybil hates where she is and would have willingly killed herself except for the innocent creature that she is responsible for. Then she meets Zecri who is scarred, wears an emotionless mask, but through it all, she can see his rage and need for revenge tempered by his soul which needs her as much as she needs him. Can they both escape and be free and have a happy life?

I enjoyed this story and particularly their method of rescue (which I can't repeat now as it would be a spoiler!). Easy to understand, read and feel it was full of determination and emotion both of which I could feel and understand. Contains explicit sexual content.

A warrior male experimented on to be a breeder becomes unable to procreate, and escapes his captors after years of abuse.

Zecri stayed on the planet to save his friend Gravin, after that friend was sold away to another owner, Zecri stayed and tried to find Gravin. Finally the insectile alien who bought Gravin returns to Wargo's house of horrors with a human woman, Sybil, and a half Drixonian child, the first female Draconian child since all the Drixonian women were killed by a virus. The child is Gravens daughter from his human mate, Beth, but both of them are dead now, and the owner Kilzer is looking to set up the sale of Sybil and the child, Riven, to Wargo. There are battles and escapes and finally they are back on the Drixonian home world, but their troubles are not ended. There is a happy ending though.

Zecri’s long awaited instalment!

I truly loved zecri over the course of this series! Seeing him get his happy ending was everything.

Zecri goes back to the pleasure house to try and finally save his friend and fellow Drix warrior. However he instead finds his friend’s half Drix half human daughter, Riven and her caretaker, a human, Sybil.

They must fight their way to freedom from those who seek to own them and also find their way home to planet Corin. Along the way, Zecri has to deal with his issues of infertility and how this affects his self worth and ability to be mated to Sybil.

I loved how this story placed such a strong focus on Zecri’s sterility and how it didn’t lessen his worth. Sybil was the perfect mate for him.

Overall I thoroughly enjoyed this series and I can’t believe it’s over

The last action scene in this book was kind of a lame as would have loved more action and drama there. Kind of disappointed that there are only 4 featured stolen Drix with mods as there is so much potential to have a few more crazy mods as Trawn doesn’t have any mods. I hope it’s not the end the end and there will be another spinoff series. Maybe with Drix mercenaries?

It’s really annoying that there are so many typos though. Riven typo error Raven. Jennie became Jenny and I had to reread as I became confused.

Also kind of sad the lok’s didn’t fix Z issues that he was so hung up over as it did with the previous 3 warriors as they got their HEA. Otherwise it was a good round up to also get updates of the rest of the mated pair.

There are a few storyline inconsistencies that I noticed since I read the entire series back to back in 2 weeks.

Overall a totally great series!!!

I saw some poor reviews on this story and I can't figure out why. Maybe because it wasn't filled with a load of sex scenes, though there were a couple. I LOVED this story. It held my attention and kept me reading nonstop, (except to sleep, stupid human body).
If anyone ever deserved an HEA it was Zecri and Sybil. They each suffered the loss of a dear friend and suffered so much more because of the Plikens and Uldani.
As with any great series I want more. The only complaint I have about this series is the typos. If this author would have let me read all of the ARCs there wouldn't be any, or at least just one or two per book. This book had at least 17.
