Bedtime is such a great time to snuggle in and read with your little one(s). Bedtime Snuggles by Patricia Reeder Eubank is a board book aimed at toddlers age four and under. This adorable book with the soft animal pictures and the flowing words would be a great choice for bedtime reading.

Bedtime Snuggles measures roughly 8 by 8 inches and has the thick pages of a board book that will stand up to little hands turning pages. The illustrations are bright and eye-catching with animal and farm scenes. There are plenty of rhymes and rhythm in this story and it easily rolls of the tongue for the reader. It could be fun to talk about the animals in each picture and help children know their animals too. However, I did think one thing was a little odd. This book mainly features moms curling up with their young ones. I don't see dad mentioned at all, which surprised me, but for single moms that may work better. In any case, I thought it worth mentioning. Bedtime Snuggles is a beautifully illustrated and written book for toddlers as a whole.

I received a copy of this book from the publisher. All opinions within this review are my own.

MY THOUGHTS ON THIS BOOK

I love board books for little ones, and this is such a cute one. I really enjoyed reading this to my niece so I could review it. This cute little story is about animal found around the house and farm, as well as wild animals found in the woods and forest around your home. The adorable pages are thick board and the beautiful front cover is padded. I love the way each picture of the animals are so beautifully placed in an environment that was natural to them. The colors are so pastel and pretty. And I especially love the last page where the mother is holding her child in the child’s room, with pets and stuffed animals laying around the room.

I love this storybook for little ones. It can be read to your child, or it can also be read by a child that is a little older and can read. This is such a cute and sweet story that your little one will have you reading it to them over and over.

I received this book from Worthy Publishing to read and review. I was not required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own. I am disclosing this in accordance with the Federal Trade Commission’s 16 CFR, Part 55.

Bedtime Snuggles is the sweetest little board book. It displays adorable animal ‘youngins’ snuggling up at bedtime with their moms and closes with a mama cradling her child with a kiss a prayer.

The young animals throughout the book are chicks, bunnies, a colt, raccoons, mice, lambs, fox, owlets, and a puppy. Their nighttime cuddles are peaceful and relaxing, and ooze with charm.

This is a sturdy board book with adorable illustrations. My grandson loves the rhythmic cadence of the rhymes and enjoys pointing out all the animals. Such a sweet and snuggly little book!

“Mama cradles her child in the streaming moonlight–then a kiss and a prayer and a snuggly good night,” Patricia Reeder Eubank rhymes at the end of her children’s book, Bedtime Snuggles.

~ What ~
This twenty-two-page board book with rounded edges targets children ages two to four years old. With no scary scenes, it focuses on farm animals getting ready for bed and snuggling. Detailed and charming full-color illustrations grace the pages with easy-to-read font size.

In this cute story, farm animals are ready to call it a day and head to bed. Baby chicks, bunnies, a colt, raccoons, mice, lambs, foxes, owlets, and a child are hugged and snuggled with as their mothers tuck them in bed at the end of the day.

~Why ~
This is a nice tale to read to a young child who loves to look at animals that live on a farm and how they go to bed. I loved the artwork as it is well done and engaging for a toddler to view. It is thoughtful that the dog and puppy are in almost all of the opened pages so can be searched and pointed out by a young observer.

~ Why Not ~
Those who do not like books that mention prayer may not like this one, but there is only one reference and it does not state to pray to God. Others may find the two and three-syllable words too hard for beginner readers, yet it is geared toward toddlers.

~ Wish ~
I wish this book had illustrations that included fathers as mothers are mentioned all but one time.

~ Want ~
If you are looking for a lovely bedtime read for a preschooler, this one that promotes cuddling and snuggling will help relax and calm a little one as they drift off to sleep.

Thanks to Hachette Book Group, WorthyKids, and the author for this complimentary book that I am under no obligation to review.

In Bedtime Snuggles, Patricia Reeder Eubank has written a children’s book about how different animals settle down at night and snuggle up and get cozy for the night. Some of these animals included chickens, bunnies, horses, raccoons, mice, lambs, foxes, owls, and more. The book shows how each animal gets ready for bed. In the end of the book, it shows a parent getting a child ready for bed by praying and cradling them.

This book is a wonderful book for any child: baby to aged 6. The book is made out of the hardcover cardboard where kids can’t tear it up as easily. The book contained a tale about bedtime and getting ready for a peaceful sleep. This would be a good book for parents to read together at bedtime. The illustrations are beautiful and you can see the details presented in the animals and their fur. I loved the farm themed animals and this will capture the attention of little ones.

I think parents are always looking for the perfect book for bedtime. Patricia Reeder Eubank provides parents and grandparents with a great option with Bedtime Snuggles. In the story she looks at a variety of animals (both farm animals and wild animals) and how babies settle down with their mamas at night - ending of course with a human mama and baby.
The illustrations complement the text well, giving children something to look at while listening to the story. Because this is in board book format it will stand up to most things a baby can do to it.
Bedtime Snuggles will be going on my list of things to purchase as baby gifts. I think it could easily become a family favorite.
Since this is a board book, I probably would not place it in a school library, however it would make a great addition to a family library.
I received a complimentary copy of Bedtime Snuggles. This is my honest review.

The Perfect Bedtime Book

Reading with your child is a consistent way to wind down at the end of the day right before they go to bed. Patricia Reeder Eubank has written an ideal book for such activity: BEDTIME SNUGGLES. On a farm, the various animals are settling down for the night. The lyrical text is also connected to rhyming words throughout this book rhymes:

“A mare leads her colt to a barn painted red

They nuzzle together with hay for a bed.”

Realistic and beautiful illustrations of the various animals combine with the rhyming words to make this book a delight to read over and over. I recommend BEDTIME SNUGGLES.

This is abeautiful board book to use in the evening, or anytime, to make children feel ready to settle down for sleep. It has soft colors in the illustrations of animal mommies bringing their young close for a cuddle before sleep. The rhymes in the short verse on each page flow naturally. There is so much to love about this sweet book that parents can read to little ones. It is a board book so is meamt for the age 1-4 range. I received the book from a blogger who drew my name in a contest. I am under no obligation to review the book, but chose to because I think it is a lover ly book.

This book is so adorable. Such a nice bedtime story to read to a child. The illustrations are so cute and the texture in them are amazing. The animals look so fluffy that I want them to pet them and snuggle up with them.

A sweet book - but nothing original or extraordinary. Not sure how these books find publishers! The illustrations are good, but again nothing that sticks out.
I'm not sure I'd recommend anyone spending a hard-earned ten dollars.

My 14 mo and I love this book. I cannot help but notice the irony of all mamas snuggling with their babies except for baby mama 🥲 I would love to have the co-sleeping friendly version of this.

Bedtime is snuggle time at our house. Each night we read a book with our children and spend some time together one on one at the end of the day. Some nights any book will do, but there are those nights when you need an “extra special” book to help you them quiet down.

“Bedtime Snuggles” by Patricia Reeder Eubank tells the story of creatures around the farm getting ready for bed.

There is just a feeling of calm and relaxation that accompanies the book. The images are beautiful watercolours. They set the mood perfectly for bedtime, transitioning from the setting sun to the night sky with an ease.

The story is written in a gentle rhyme. I instinctively started reading it softly, almost to the point of a whisper. I couldn’t help hugging my son a little closer as each Mama in the book snuggled and cuddled her little ones for the night.

The very last page is of a Mom snuggling up with her little one. All to often we hear that you need to put your child to bed and let him learn to fall asleep on his own, I’ve even fallen prey to this thought from time to time. The book helped me to remember that my children are only little for such a short time. Take the time now to snuggle and cuddle with them, because a time will come when they no longer want to.

The book is a board book, perfect for little hands. My son loves to count. We spent some time counting the animals and flowers in the story. You could also have your child tell you the animal sounds.

“Bedtime Snuggles” is a perfect bedtime story to read to your little one at bedtime. It will make you hug your little one just a little bit closer and snuggle just a little bit longer!

Not far away, there lies a small red barn and a family farm. On that farm, a plethora of baby animals and their moms gather to sleep for the night. The storybook shares each picture with ornate traditional childrens art, leading to the culimination picture of the toddler resting in the mom's arms, with the room filled with toys that represent all the farm animals just outside. The letter blocks spell "bedtime snuggles," which is the title of the book. In and of itself, this book is a sweet bedtime tale for children to snuggle with their moms.

Perhaps, however, that is the single issue with the title - there are no dads present. Worthy Kids publishes the book, a well-known Christian publisher. Their decision to fund the book is logical, and the author's decision to focus on moms is most likely not intentional toward dads, but in modern society where roles are quickly changing and it is being recognized that many dads fill the role of moms (and there is nothing wrong with that), this book feels out of place. This is something an editor should have caught and brought up, as one would hate to consider the author not including any father figures intentionally.

This book is just like many others out there - there is nothing new in this title and many similar books already adorn the children's bookshelves. What would be nice to see, however, is one including fathers in this role as well. Perhaps then there would be another book worth adding to the shelf...

An adorable board book that will be perfect for bedtime cuddles and read-aloud, the pictures are adorable and the words are soothing. A bunny, a mare, and a hen, then mouse, ewe, fox, owl and human moms all cuddle with their babies in their respective homes, accompanying the brief but descriptive rhyming text.

The sweet story and vibrant art will remain pleasing, as you go through the story "just one more time." The book itself is of high quality, the front cover lightly padded and the interior corners rounded.

5/5 stars, highly recommended for reading aloud and a perfect addition to bed-time routines. Becoming a great-aunt has reinvigorated my interest in picture books, so I was very pleased to be included in the Worthy's blog tour for this book from their WorthKids/Ideals imprint.

Bedtime is always a special time to read a book and Bedtime Snuggles will help youngsters snuggle with their parents as they read how various animals snuggle up with their mothers for the night. I love that the book has a bit of rhyming flow to it, and the words are easy enough that youngsters are going to want to read along. The illustrations really pair perfectly with the story, they are bright and colorful which will allow the images to capture youngsters eye and imagination as they read the story. A board book that is sturdy enough for repeated use, I can easily seeing it become a favorite read. I found the illustrations delightful and loved the final pages where mama was snuggling up with baby in the nursery while a cat is snuggled with her kittens and a dog is with her puppies. The perfect book to help youngsters wind down as they prepare to fall asleep.

I received this book from the author/publisher for the purpose of this review. All comments and opinions are entirely my own.

Bedtime Snuggles is a sweet little book that, like the synopsis says, is perfect for bedtime reading. It is written in rhymes with gorgeous pictures that will engage the targeted younger audience. The book is a solid and sturdy one so you don't have to worry about pages tearing or bending.

The content is gentle and informative for the youngsters as the author names the correct names for the offspring of the different animals. A good side-note that I also would like to mention is that prayer with the child before bed is mentioned that will please many Christian mothers.

All in all, Bedtime Snuggles is a sweet book worth buying and reading and I rate it 5 out of 5 stars!

The book tells the story of farm and woods animals as they all head to bed to go to sleep. It mentions each animal and how its mother gets them ready for sleep by holding them close in some way. The sweet story ends with how a mommy will snuggle her child close before putting them to bed.

The illustrations fill the entire page with the words over top. Each picture is adorable and will delight even the smallest children. Mine would have loved this when they were younger. The hard pages and smaller size make this the perfect book for a toddler that enjoys looking at the pictures along with whoever is reading to them.

What a sweet way to say goodnight! Patrica Eubank’s board book, Bedtime Snuggles, ushers in night time with simple rhymes and colorful illustrations of moms of all types snuggling with their children. The farm quiets down, and the animals all gather in their lambs, chicks, kittens and puppies. I loved the expressions on the mama animals’ faces as they put their babies to bed. This book is a perfect way for you and your toddler or preschooler to end the day.

Recommended.

This was super cute. The way that it was illustrated, it seems that you can almost feel the fur of the animals.

I read this one aloud to my best friend's daughters. All three of them loved it (ages almost 2, 3.5, and 5). Each child had a different favorite page.

The illustrations are bright and beautiful. They really engage the kids. Also the text was very simple and made the kids smile.

I received this book for free from Worthy's First Look Blog Tour for the purpose of reviewing. My thoughts and opinions are my own.

This was a sweet book. It's great for children and parents of little boys and girls. It rhymes a bit. Young readers could read this book. It's best for children.

I love the pictures in the book. They're worth looking at. The author did a wonderful job with the images. They are so realistic and pulls the readers into the book. If you are an animal lover or your child is into animals and want to get them settled down then this is the book for them.
