A good start to a new series
This book kinda reminds me a bit of skulduggery but with more magic and assassinations. I enjoyed it and will continue with the series

I've been a big fan of a lot of Logan Jacobs' novels/series because they strike the perfect balance of isekai-type premises featuring fun MCs (and just as fascinating harems) with the added layer of adult content. Mage Assassin started out with an interesting action sequence, only to fall flat with a very uninteresting premise that played out through the first five chapters. But the time I got to the sixth chapter of the book, I just didn't care enough to continue and so for the first time, I dropped this one. :(

A really great start go a new series
Plot twists and a world that is beautifully crafted are what I have come to expect from a Logan Jacobs book and this one is no let down. The main character is awesome and has the coolest magical ability. An assassin who works for justice is such an interesting take on assassins, so having a whole guild of them is just icing on the cake. I loved book 1 and now look forward to book 2.

Mirror Mage Assassin
I felt the story took a bit too long to get going, but when it did it was great. Good enough that I'm sure the next will be a lot of fun.
An assassin that can hide being able to look like someone else is an amazing talent, but to be highly skilled and a good clean killer is epic. Then lastly a fallen God killer, thats Hero all the way! Ya, every good guy gets the gorgeous girl in the end.

Absolutely brilliant!
Whilst true if most books I've read, I couldn't put this book down!
The characters re intriguing, fun and exotic, as with the land and it's magic. Logan Jacobs has created a truely interesting and magic filled world with oddities and intrigues!
I'm excited to see where this will lead!

Sensational new mage and story!
Another great new series..Interesting new characters..great action , both in battle and in bed..You won't be disappointed because it's Logan ..again..the depth of the diffhplots will keep you indulged..made me read it straight thru until 4 in the morning..book 2 ..hurry..

Another excellent start to what looks to be a terrific series. Dex shines as a low profile highly effective assassin. Can’t wait to see how he discovers what else his powers can do. Great characters and the story could be a stand-alone book but I hope that Logan adds to it. Definitely worth the read!!!

I truly enjoyed the story line. Logan Jacobs has done it again with this one. It doesn't seem to be a dark story to me, the various humanoid creatures, mythical creatures, and humans all have importance in this story and it is enjoyable to see the collaboration of all. I look foreword to the next book in this line/series.

Good writing
This was a good book kept me engaged for the first 75% of the book. The last 25% just kinda fell off to me hence the 3 stars. The insta love between the main character and the fire girl or the water syren was just random to me. The big fight at the end didn’t seem that hard, it just felt not as climatic as I would have hoped but I’ll probably pick up book 2

Loved this! Been reading the early chapters in his Patreon (well worth it) and was super excited for this!

A very entertaining read
I like this new story by Logan Jacobs it tickles my fantasy bone as well as my imagination. I think all the characters have a strong presence and the beginnings of the world building are interesting. The erotic elements are pretty good too.

I listened to the audiobook so my opinion may be kinda slanted from that...
The main character does not sound like an assassin. It's like a nerd playing cool and confident. Plus the plot was pretty lame as well as the harem.

Good book
Good easy read. There was not a lot of substance to the story but the world was unique and has promise. Hope for better in book two. The characters need more depth and a better plotline to make me a believer going forward. That said good easy read!
