Really charming collection about a guy named "Ernie" who just wants to enjoy retirement.
Too bad he's a god with no talent at staying undercover, leading to many magical shenanigans!

A web in many ways!
I wasn’t sure on this one to start, I have never liked the vindictive or nosy person who always wants people to follow her or disrupt what others have. Vera is that however it provides a very thoughtful idea within this. Forgotten, abandoned, hidden or lost. Do we forget our elderly, do people act up because they have no other way or know no other way to get people to see them. A thought provoking episode in the life of Ernie.

Ernie and smoke do not mix.
A genie and a wish well kinda, the genie wants a day off Ernie is stuck in his place and ends up causing all sorts of chaos in one man’s life. The thing is this wasn’t supposed to happen. I actually enjoyed this one as the interplay of wishes as well as the chaos of trying to help worked itself into something else. Also yay hidden jokes.

It was refreshing to see some of the real reasons some family members visit but at the same time there are consequences to some magic and it was nice to see. I like that there was a change in culture but that Ernie himself didn’t realise how much damage he had done. Also yep agree with Ernie the skirts are too short.

I’m just resting my eyes!
Sloth is my biggest trouble, getting the up and go attitude just never has been me. However I understand feeling unneeded or just losing the will to do something. It was a really nice look at others innate effects on other people. I like that the dropping off is natural for all.

Short little story about Ernie getting stuck substituting for a genie who has a date. Trouble is, Ernie doesn't know the rules.
