I have never come across two characters who fought so hard NOT admit they were in love with each other. Keyla and Rashawn tapped dance on my last damn nerve. I was more annoyed with Keyla than I was with Shawn. And, I get it. No one wants to fall in love with a f*ckboy but, when said f*ckboy goes above and beyond to change his ways for you, I'ma need you to at least give him a chance. Keyla and Shawn's relationship start out as FWB. As always, with the case of FWB, they both secretly catch feeling for each other but are too afraid to say anything. Keyla wants to give Shawn a chance but, is having a hard time trusting him because of his hoeish past. Now in Shawn's defense, once he realized he was checkin' for Keyla, he immediately started moving differently. Even after he was honest with Keyla and she, somewhat, shot him down, he continued to show her he would do what it takes to have her as his woman. Keyla remembered something she told Brielle, realized she needed to start taking her own advice, and finally gave Shawn a chance. But, their union was not without some drama. Whew chile! Keyla and Shawn went through it. I wanted to fight Tiana and Treyvon. Both of them should've been sittin' in Dr. Bails' office seven days a week with no break in between. I was so happy when Keyla finally got pregnant. She and Shawn definitely deserved that happiness. And Then We Fell In Love was a great spin-off. It gives you lust, love, deceit, forgiveness, and more. Get into this series people. You will not be disappointed.

Idk what it was but this book had me giggly like a school girl. Even though Rashawn and Keyla were mid thirties, neither had really allowed themselves to find love. Together they shared a feel good first love....where you were scared AF. Low-key almost mess it up cuz you freak out over every little thing.
Y'all I was caught up in this blissful love and then BAM, my heart fell out my damn chest. The audacity of this 🥷🏾.....was too much for me. I was side eyeing 😒 Rashawn's fine azz heavy....because WHY sir??? Baby when I tell you the drama just kept falling like Domino's 😩😩 Chillle. It went from an easy going love story with just the right amount of freakiness to a layered love story. I understood it was a hard topic for Rashawn, but he would have had me all the way fkd up with his omission.
This was really a journey and reminds you that your love story might not always be in pretty.

Kay wrote the heck out of this book!!!🙌💕😊👌 I fell in love with Shawn and Key and how they fought but ended up right where they belonged. They were very fun to get to know. Shawn was soooooo selfish and I stayed pissed and frustrated with him. But chile when his story unfolded👀🙌. Tiana had to know better😢. I would have never expected that!!! I am glad the story included the use of a therapist because ya'll know how black folks feel about counseling BUT it is so useful.
The chemistry between these folks was off the charts🤦♂️😂👀. I am glad they got their HEA. It was good to check in with Shad, Bri and the babies. Great job Kay🙌👌👍. I feel like Rasheeda has a story to tell. PLEASE!!!!

Damn this book was good...
I swear Queen Kay took us through with this one and it was one make of ride dealing with Shawn & Key😂😂😂.
Key heart has been guarded since she lost her parents. Shawn took being single to a whole other level. Then him and Key thought beating friends with bandits was gonna work with them always beating around each other, lol.
Key knew she was playing with fire entertaining Treyvon😒. That fool was some kinda of special, he was so damn delusional. He giving titles without permission, hadn't even smelt the 😺and was acting a damn fool, giving out orders and his opinion liked it mattered😒.
Shawn was dead wrong, PERIOD! His selfish as should've told Key the truth from jump instead of watching her suffer and stress thinking something was wrong with her😒. After He told his truth, my heart did go out to him, but he still should've be upfront with her.
Tiana, Lord I get why she was in her feelings but at the same time she set herself up for that ish when she pulled that bs years ago.
Treyvon needed some help cause something was definitely wrong with dude, fr. He gave stealing a new meaning and its like dude move on.
In the and Shawn & Key got the help they needed in order for them to heal and be whole for themselves and each other. They definitely got thebiggest blessing in the and💕

Another Great Story by Kay Shanee
And Then We Fell In Love by Kay Shanee is about nurse Keyla Carson and roller rink co-owner Rashawn Hanes. We first meet Keyla and Rashawn in Roll Bounce Love, they were a whole trip so I’m glad that they got their own book! Keyla’s cousin/ best friend is married to Rashawn’s older brother so it’s hard for her to stay away from him even after she’s ends their situationship. Keyla’s guarded and understandably so, she lost her parents in a car accident when she was teenager. She’s afraid to put herself out there especially for a player like Rashawn. Rashawn thought they were cool, he doesn’t understand why she ghosted him and he doesn’t like that another guy is sniffing around her. I like Rashawn and Keyla together, they have a lot of chemistry but their communication 🥴 needs work! I mean even when they get on the right track, they don’t stay on it long. Their relationship progresses quickly but not quick enough to dodge their pasts. Rashawn is such a likeable guy, you can see how Keyla fell for him but he makes some poor decisions. Like sir 😒 that’s unacceptable! I’m glad that no one let his behaviour slide. It’s so important to keep our Black men accountable! Keyla is the type of person to be labelled as the “strong Black women” I’m glad we saw her vulnerability! So often overworking ourselves is looked at as strong when often it’s just a poor coping mechanism. I love that we saw them in therapy both together and individually. Rashawn is very much a “manly man”, so to see him in therapy is such positive representation! Overall a great spinoff, both vulnerable and sexy 🥰😉
P.s. I’m looking forward to Rasheeda’s story because whew 👀 I certainly ain’t see that coming!

Absolutely loved reading this story. The growth that Shawn and Key exhibited was phenomenal. Storyline dealt with real life issues. Treyvon really did have some serious issues. Tiana tap danced on my nerves but I did find a smidgen of compassion for her. Bri and Shaad kept their same energy and glad they welcomed a new baby. Look forward to hearing about Rasheeda and Foster in your next installment.

This book had me going through it, all in my feelings. I was anxious and excited throughout this entire book just hoping Rashawn and Keyla would end up together with a HEA ending. The connection between them and progression of their relationship was real and appealing. Now the drama with Treyvon but mostly with Tiana had me trying to remind myself these are fictional characters. Loved it, this book had it all: lust, love,deceit, forgiveness and more.

What an emotional rollercoaster!! One conversation could have solved so many problems. Understandably, you have a woman afraid of rejection and dealing with loss and internally envying her family because of their successes. Not in a bad way, just that she couldnt share the same joys they did. Then you have a man secretly grieving and suffering from past choices. One conversation about how they both were feeling for each other. One conversation about the pain and grief he had. This was a very emotional story with both characters showing noteworthy growth. His through acceptance of, and sharing, his secrets. Hers through realizing she cant live in the past and letting go of failed relationships. Both through accepting and nourishing the love they found in each other!! Now lil baby sis got a whole story to tell...lets see if we can get that!!

I knew Kay Shanee would not disappoint! 3 pages in and I was laughing out loud at the lust driven banter between Rashawn and Keyla. Keyla wanted to be with him but felt she had to guard herself from his f-boy ways. Rashawn was a bonafide asshole, but when he summons the courage to face his demons--readers become his biggest cheerleaders instantaneously!
Kay Shanee has a way of telling stories from the male point of view in a manner that is undeniably moving, compassionate, raw and real. She can create a vulnerable male character without compromising his masculinity. Two stubborn individuals falling in love but this path to love wasn't easy. This book pulls at your heart strings and has you talking to the characters as if they can hear you lol. Kay Shanee is an amazing story teller as she plants you right in that moment as if you are there. Key and Shawn both had hurt that they had buried but together they unearthed a raw and real love. This was an awesome spin off of roll bounce and we also got to catch up with Elle and Shad. Now Kay are you going to give us more about Rasheeda and Foster? We got to know what's going on with them. Hey I gotta ask. Looking forward to the next great story no matter what it is! Brava!!!

Shawn and Key🤦🏽♀️. These two were something else. Their journey was not as smooth as Sheed and Bri’s but it was entertaining. I’m glad they gave each other a chance. I’m glad Shawn was able to get help through their therapist for his traumatic experience. Glad that Key was there for him through it all. In all, a good read and I enjoyed it.👍🏽👍🏽. This was the spin off to Roll Bounce Love although and I liked it a tad bit better than the previous book because the secrets spilled were interesting enough. Plus I like the vibe of the Keyla and Rashawn, their chemistry when they connected was present throughout the pages. The one thing the author didn’t tie up loose ends on was the crazy guy Trayvon and the sisters Rasheeda storyline. I think she left it open for For the sisters story. The sister storyline was just thrown in there and I wouldn’t be too interested to read more about her. Overall this was a quick and cute spinoff.

OMG, this book was SO good! Rashawn was definitely fine as hell and had BDE like nobody's business. But who knew there was such a deep and complex man underneath all of that. I was shocked at his big secret, I mean it had me shook!😳 Glad Keyla and Rashawn got everything on the table and leaned into all that life had for them. This was an emotional, but enjoyable ride! Definitely 5 ⭐️ Stars!

Ms. Shanee always delivers well written novels. I enjoyed this book just as much as the rest in her catalog. I like how she takes her time in revealing the many layers of her characters. I also love that she typically stays away from all of the infidelity that is prominent in so many of our romance books. This particular book had a nice twist to it that I didn’t see coming and that’s saying a lot because I’m an avid reader. Hopefully, we will hear more about Rashawn and Keyla in the next book.

Rashawn had me worried for a minute but trauma is handled differently by each person. Key was tripping to lol but they got it together this book was sexy and deep with lots of love to round it out glad to see they got to the happy. And we got to see the family and some smack downs lol

I have laughed, cried, cussed, prayed, and shouted just from reading this book! Rashawn was a piece of work...but so was Keyla. Hurting people truly hurt people and this story is a testament of that! I'm wondering if we will see more of Key and Shawn in a book about Rasheeda and her old man!!??!!

Emotional Rollercoaster!!!
This book was amazing!! Keyla and Rashawn's love surprised no one but them. They were ready for love and didn't even know it. The author definitely threw a few curve balls in this book and I loved it. I wasn't ready!! It was an emotional rollercoaster and I can't wait for Rasheeda and Foster's ride!!

I was so excited to see Keyla & Rashawn get their own story and I was NOT disappointed! They had me on an emotional roller coaster but I was completely invested. Rashawn made some unwise choices and at some points I wanted to slap fire from him but once his story unfolded I was able to get a better understanding. I laughed, got angry and shed few tears and it was so worth it. Amazing job bringing this couples story to life ❤️

Definitely worth it
I couldn’t wait to read this book and I was not disappointed. Who knew Rashawn was hiding such a traumatic secret. My heart went out to him. Key had her own issues to deal with but they were just what each other needed. I wish Treyvon didn’t turn out the way he was. He was too fine to be so creepy. Overall I loved this book and would recommend.

Kay!!! You did that! I was waiting for Key and Shawn to get a story and you did not disappoint. I literally screamed when the thing happned!! No the hell he didn't. But now I understand and I'm not mad. I'm adding this to my collection because this is definite reread!! Excellent job Kay!! Cant wait for the next book?

Very Good
This book was so good. Keyla and Rashaad always knew they wanted to be with each one. I was so happy when they finally did. Rashaad knew he was wrong for not telling Keyla what he had done. I am so glad they was able to work through their problems. Can't wait to read Rasheeda story.

L O V E D!
I absolutely loved it. Shawn and Keyla had suuuch good chemistry but obviously you need more than that to sustain and grow a relationship. The roadblocks gave me pause but I was so glad it worked out in the end.

Omg this was soooo good! I loved them together! They are so cute and meant for each other! They both had demons they needs to conquer but they fought through it together!
