I received this book from Paper Raven Books.

I make no secret that I'm white. I can't, I'm the color of parchment. When I began this book, I wasn't sure that I would truly be able to relate to it, and was doubtful that I should have chosen it to read. I was very wrong about this book from start to finish.

This is a book about enlightening and empowering yourself. Yes, it was written by a black woman for black women, but I found a lot of points the author made in this book could apply to any woman who needs to have faith and confidence in themselves. But it truly was more than that. Between the covers, this book could serve as a primer for all women to find their strength and learn how to be a stronger individual.

Overall I was impressed with this book. It was very well written, very well organized, and spoke to the sincerity of the author. 5 stars!

Although her religious beliefs are very open, I believe women should improve power of self understanding and also encourage other women to be joyful and to be strong and this book hit it right on the nose!

Great Insight and Perspective

This was one of those books that keep calling me back. It took me a moment to settle in but when I did I finished in a few days. Easy and relatable.
