Charity Case is three and a half books wrapped into one package.

Clean Slate-Starts the story of where Victoria leaves two men, her boss-Jagger and her ex-husband-Pete Keebler.

Afternoon Delight is about Victoria starting a new position in Chicago, where she meets Chelsea Walsh, another divorcee. Clean Slate: A quick, fun prequel to the Charity Case series by Piper Rayne.

Manic Monday: This is one of the best books I've read this year. Manic Monday is the first book in the new Charity Case series, and what a great start it is! Packed with a little drama, a bit of angst, lol moments, amusing banter between the main characters, lots of feels, sizzling chemistry, sexual tension, second chances, and a HEA, this fast-paced love story is one exceptional read!

Afternoon Delight: A sexy, romantic, and emotional second chance romance story packed with heartbreak, forgiveness, off-the-charts chemistry, turmoil, humor, well developed characters, and love.

Happy Hour: A well written enemies-to-lovers romance with a great storyline and interesting characters. There's witty banter, hot chemistry, humor, betrayal, sexual tension, and a HEA.

I volunteered to review an advance reader copy of this book.

I love everything and anything Piper Rayne and this is no different. I was so excited when I found out there’s a box series coming out with all of the charity case books in it. Manic Monday is the 1st book in the Charity Case series, but it is the 2nd book in the box set (there’s a prequel). But as for Manic Monday, this did not disappoint. I was sucked in from the beginning, Victoria is a single mother who divorced her husband for cheating on her. When she moves back home, she runs into her ex-husbands best man Reed. From there they hit it off, I love the chemistry the two of them have and the steam, oh boy that’s what I love in a good romance. Overall, I loved this story not only for the steam and the wonderful characters but there’s just something about the way Piper Rayne tells a story that just makes you feel like these characters are real and you get so invested and that is how I feel about this one. I can wait to dive into Afternoon Delight.

Piper Rayne's Charity Case series is such a great one! You definitely can't go wrong in picking up these books!

Clean Slate:
This really helps to set up what's coming in the rest of the series. It helps to put into perspective just how Victoria goes from working for Jagger in California to moving to the Midwest. Looking forward to the rest!

Manic Monday:
Victoria Clarke has recently relocated to Chicago from California to help her mother who has recently been diagnosed with MS. Not only is Victoria dealing with a move and her mother, our recently divorced heroine is busy settling into a new job, raising her young daughter AND going to school to finish her degree. She's hardworking, independent and strong. When taking her daughter to school one Monday, she runs into an old acquaintance. While she doesn't know Reed well, the one thing she is, is intrigued, not only by his hotness, but also by the fact he drops off one of her daughters best friends every single Monday. But only on Monday. She's got to know the story behind that!

Reed Warner is the Assistant District Attorney in Chicago and he's a man that knows what he wants and is willing to do what it takes to get it. He's patient, driven, handsome and honest. While working on the biggest case that has ever crossed his desk, he ends up running into Victoria in the school drop-off line and he couldn't be happier. While he wants to get to know her better, the baggage she has left behind from her failed marriage, has her skittish to say the least where relationships are concerned.

Are Reed and Victoria destined to be stuck in the friend zone or will they be able to take their relationship to the next level?

I adored this book! The characters were fantastic, the story engaging and the way that Piper and Rayne handled the MS in the book was well done. This was one of those books I just did not want to put down. They also did their job and made me very curious about how Chelsea and Hannah's books are going to play out.

Afternoon Delight:
Chelsea Walsh has had her share of heartbreak in her twenty five years and while she wants love in her life, she's always been attracted to the bad boy type and that is how she got her heart broken. Married at eighteen, she had found the love of her life, but then everything spiraled out of control and it ended in divorce. Lately, she's been on a string of failed dates with more "respectable" men, but they just don't light her fire like bad boys, or maybe it's one particular bad boy - her ex-husband.

When she goes to a meeting with a tax attorney for her job at RISE, the last person Chelsea expects to come face-to-face with is the aforementioned ex-husband, Dean Bennett. The last time she'd seen Dean was the morning she walked out on him. Dean makes it clear that he wants another chance with her and that he never stopped loving her. While it's clear that the chemistry between the two is still alive and well, Chelsea is skeptical as ever that Dean could have changed enough for her to even consider making him a part of her life again. Will Dean be able to convince Chelsea to trust him again and prove that he's bettered himself in the last five years? Or will everything that happened during their short-lived marriage overshadow any chance these two have of a future?

There was so much to love about this book! The characters were so well developed and we learned so much about each of them as the story went along that it wasn't hard to understand where both were coming from. They both have baggage, some of which we don't know about at first, which made the story that much richer because you *knew* there were more proverbial shoes left to drop. These two characters were fighters and not in the literal sense, but they weren't going to back down from what they wanted.

In typical Piper Rayne fashion, the book was witty, sexy, romantic and entertaining.

Happy Hour:
Roarke Baldwin is one of the most sought after divorce attorneys in the city. He's tough, known to be ruthless and always does his best by his clients. The one thing he has going against him at the moment is the fact that he represented the ex-husband of the woman who he would do anything to attract her interest.

Hannah Crowley is just trying to do her job. She's throwing a gala and she needs a venue. The person who offers to come to her rescue is Roarke, the man that always seems to have his eyes on her when she and her friends frequent their favorite private club. Hannah is smart, sexy and extremely gun-shy when it comes to men after her ex cheated on her and made her trust in men tank completely. The sad thing is, she's definitely attracted to Roarke, but she wants nothing to do with him!

When Roarke offers to help her with her venue issue, he in turn asks for five favors. Of course Hannah jumps to the wrong conclusions and she's stunned by the things he's asking her to do. As these two spend more time together, will her opinion of the legal eagle change?

This book was fast-paced, sexy, sassy and one that you just didn't want to put down.

I would highly recommend picking up this gem of a series from Piper Rayne!

Manic Monday
Can I just say that Reed Warner is the epitome of all that is good in the world of Piper and Rayne! Man, does Victoria Clarke have a great one on her hands!!! Manic Monday is awesome! It brings it all into the mix: laughter (oh my goodness so much laughter), wit, strength, stubbornness, sexy and most importantly love! I truly enjoyed this book so much!

This book is solely through Victoria's POV which is different from the 2 person narrative we have read in the past and truthfully, I enjoyed reading everything through Victoria's eyes. She sure had some yummy eye candy that's for sure. What I love most about her is that in the past she was a secondary character with a lot of sass and a very personal life and we definitely get to see the real Victoria. She is the woman who lost love through a divorce, lost herself in the world of a man, got a beautiful child out of the mix, but is now trying to navigate life on her own and through her own terms. Isn't that something we can all attest to trying to do, live by our own terms. Her strength and will to take care of both her mom and daughter is honorable. Her need for the freedom to choose her own path is admirable. Her sense of humor and quick witted mind is a thing of beauty. And through all of this soul searching, enters Reed.

The one word that stands out when I first was introduced to Reed was holy moly sexy, but more importantly than that it was perseverance! This man is patient, kind, persistent and so ready to take on Victoria! No is not an answer that he is willing to take and I love that about him. I love that he is there for her in any capacity that she needs (even if she doesn't see it). I want a man like Reed!

Piper Rayne outdid herself again! I want more in this series right now!!!!

Afternoon Delight
Dean blew through the Windy City and my HEART
I hate Dean! I love Dean! Dean makes me cry! Dean warms my heart! Oh man, this was a fantastic love story. Chelsea is torn up, even five years after her divorce to Dean Bennett and like the ever present wind in Chicago, he blows right through her again. Dean is now a tax attorney that is conveniently working pro bono for RISE, the foundation that Chelsea also happens to work for.

Piper Rayne strikes again with this book. The premise of this series is to give these three beautiful women a STRONG voice and oh my goodness Chelsea has the strongest, but the men that they have paired them up with are the WHOLE package. They aren’t perfect because what man is, but they possess the IT factor, the drive to fight for the woman they love above all else! That makes this book brilliant. At first and in Manic Monday, I could have never ever seen Chelsea even look at Dean again and yet the beauty of it all is that I went through the gamut of emotions with Chelsea the entire time. I hated Dean, I hated him coming back into the picture and trying to make amends, he made me cry with anger and I felt what Chelsea was feeling and then he started picking away at my soul. I am telling you Dean Bennett, along with Reed Warner from Manic Monday are UNICORNS! They are giving these ladies a love like no other! I seriously am salivating for Hannah’s story which is next!

Piper Rayne you seriously write a fantabulous book each and every time!!!

Happy Hour by Piper Rayne

Roarke Baldwin has been chasing after Hannah Crowley since the beginning of the Charity Case Series and it has definitely peaked my interest. Who is this mysterious bulldog of a divorce lawyer that took half of Hannahs’ possessions? Who is this man that constantly appears in places that he shouldn’t and comes over to “talk” to Hannah. Well, all the questions are answered in the third installment of this series. Hannah is dead set on never getting married again and not even dating after her horrible experience. And Roarke is there to push her out of her comfort zone. He is persistent as all hell (kinda like the other men in this series) and goes above and beyond trying to get to Hannah. I loved that about this book, the persistence and determination that each of these guys showed towards the ladies they were trying to impress. Hannah is a ball buster to the core and it is awesome to see her melt for Roarke against her better judgement, it is even more beautiful to see her open up and trust again. Roarke is the curveball here because his character has so much character that my jaw was on the floor most of this book. His background is so much more diverse than I could have imagined and I liked it a lot. It showed a realism to him that I did not imagine I would get. All in all, I was so happy with this book, it ended the series well. I love that a powerful woman like Hannah got her Happy Ending with a man that cherishes her!

This series is about 3 divorced ladies who work together and find their HEAs in Chicago. I have previously read and enjoyed their stories and have included snippets of my orginal reviews.

Clean Slate
This is a short and sweet introduction of Victoria’s life right before she moves back to Chicago.
I loved Victoria’s character before because of her no-nonsense attitude towards Jagger (Hollywood Hearts) and I can’t wait to get more from her in the upcoming story.
IMO, this short story is the perfect opening for the new series and a must read for any newbies to Piper Rayne.

Manic Monday
This is the story of Victoria Clarke, a divorced mother of a seven year old, after she moves back to Chicago to be close to her mother. Upon her return she’ll encounter a blast from the past in the form of sexy lawyer Reed Warner, a former friend of her ex-husband’s, and her life will take a rather interesting turn.
If you’ve read the Dirty Truth aka Hollywood Heart series, you’ve already met Victoria and know what kind of woman she is, but it’s fine if you haven’t as, either way, you’re in for a treat!
I really like this book, but I’m yet to find a book I don’t like by Piper Rayne. I loved the writing and these ladies have an amazing talent to give life to the most beautiful characters.
Manic Monday is a great kick off to the new series and I was happily reminded of the ladies from Modern Love.

Afternoon Delight
OMG, this book!
I’ve been reading Piper Rayne stories since the beginning and I feel each one is a departure from its predecessor. Still intertwined, still within a group of friends, but at the core they’re different people, following different life paths and all sexy, witty and heartfelt. That said Dean and Chelsea really stole my heart.
When I first met Chelsea, I thought she was an obnoxious b*tch, but after getting a second look at her in Manic Monday, I couldn’t wait to read her own story. I have to say she didn’t disappoint.
Chelsea married young and it didn’t work. She’s been trying to date, but she keeps on meeting subpar men that only make good as the following morning’s office joke. When she volunteers to drop some paperwork off for her boss, the last thing she expects is to walk into the office of her ex-husband, Dean Bennett.
Enter Dean and all hearts stop…like seriously. He is no longer the boy she once married. He’s all grown up, sexy as sin and still calling to her like a beam of light in the darkest night.
I want everyone to enjoy all Piper Rayne books, but if you just want to pick up one book by them, I’d definitely say you should choose to have an Afternoon Delight.

Happy Hour
Hannah Crowley is an independent and happily divorced woman with an unadmitted crush on the one man she despises more than her ex.
Roarke Baldwin is a sexy silver fox that always gets what he wants and he has his sight set on Hannah.
When Hannah finds herself in a tight spot, Roarke will come to the rescue by way of offering her a solution to her problem in exchange for something relatively insignificant that will make her see him in a whole different light.
Happy Hour is a great ending to the Charity Case series and I can’t wait to meet the Bianco Brothers and their HEAs!

Clean Slate:
This is a great intro to a new series. Loved getting a glimpse of Victoria. The writing as always draws you in and keeps you hooked. There is so much goodness packed in this novella.

Manic Monday:
This book was about letting go of the past and embracing a love that consumes you. I loved the plot of the book and how the characters were in later stages of their lives. It made them easy to connect with and relate to as many of us have had similar experiences in our own lives. The writing is perfection as usual and it hooked me from the very beginning. There was some touch subject matter such as an illness and single parenting but these ladies did an amazing job of working their magic on this book. I look forward to reading more of this series and I would suggest to anyone looking for a new author to give these ladies a try.

Afternoon Delight:
Second chances are one of my favorite genres. These ladies blew this out of the park. After a long day I quickly fell into this story. The humor and angst was just what I needed. The characters are complex and have great depth. The writing is fabulous and so easy to get lost in. The back and fourth banter had me laughing out loud and there was just the right amount of drama to make it a more complex love story. I loved how the story wasn't a quick rush at forgiveness it was more about proving your love and what you are willing to do to hold onto it. I look forward to reading more of this series and if you are looking for an old school romance I suggest you pickup a copy of this book.

Happy Hour:
The story line and characters from this book are phnonminal. I loved this book so much. From the very beginning I was hooked, there is nothing like a sexy silver fox who knows what he wants. I enjoyed all the interaction with the secondary characters it gives all the books a great connect and makes this series standout from all the rest. The writing is so easy to get lost in and it truly is tough to tell that there are two different authors. If you are looking for a rom com like no other I suggest you get a copy of this book ASAP. You will not be disappointed.

Th Holiday Bonus is truly so much fun and just adds more dimension to the stories.

Manic Monday
Victoria divorced her workaholic husband Peter two years ago. The only good thing to come out of her marriage was her daughter, Jade. When Victoria’s mother is diagnosed with MS, she needs to move back to Chicago from LA. When dropping Jade off at her first day of her new school in Chicago, she sees Reed, the best man from her wedding, dropping off a young boy. Reed is the perfect guy, an ADA, works in the Big Brother program, is hot and super rich. Victoria is still carrying major baggage from her marriage, so it takes persistence from Reed to convince her to take a chance on love again. Great fun romance.
Afternoon Delight
Chelsea and Dean met in college and fell in love at first sight. Dean was a Senior being scouted as a baseball pitcher by the MLB and Chelsea was a freshman. They married on impulse in Vegas and were divorced four months later after Dean’s partying ended his baseball career and their marriage. Fast forward five years and Chelsea is working at the RISE charity where she delivers tax information to their new attorney, who happens to be her ex. Dean has turned his life around and wants to have a second chance with Chelsea. This is a fun second chance romance.
Happy Hour
This is the last in the Charity Case series. Hannah has been through a nasty divorce. The boy that she grew up with and married ended up being a cheating scumbag who took her to the cleaners in the divorce. Roarke is the best divorce attorney in Chicago and represented Hannah’s ex in the divorce. Hannah hates Roarke because of his part in her marriage ending. When Hannah desperately needs a venue for her charity’s fundraiser, Roarke obtains one for her on the condition that she gives him five favors. Roarke hopes that through the favors, Hannah will be able to get past how they met and see him as worthy of dating. This is a nice enemies to lovers romance.

Loved this little glimpse into Victoria's world! I was already excited to read Manic Monday but even more excited now!

Manic Monday
Loved Victoria and Reed.  After moving back to Chicago with her daughter to look after her mum, work! The last thing she has time for is a relationship until she runs into Reed who just happens to get ex husbands best friend, oh and the best man at her wedding! Reed wasn't about to look a gift horse in the mouth.....this time Victoria wasn't getting away! They were perfect for each other.

Afternoon Delight
Fantastic second chance romance! You will love Chelsea and Dean. The last person except to bump into was her ex husband Dean! Dean can't believe his luck, it's like all his Christmas have come at once. He never got over his split from Chelsea, I mean she was the one that got away but this time he isn't going to lose her without a fight.

Happy Hour
Hannah and Roarke were my favourite of the series! Hannah is a strong confidant, successful woman. She hasn't got time for a man and is certainly not interested in her ex husbands lawyer! Roarke can't stop thinking about Hannah, there is just something about this strong, confident, sexy woman that makes him lose his mind. Their chemistry, their banter was so good! I have loved this series and can't believe it's over.

I loved the extra bonus epilogues that were included in this box set! It was so good to catch up with the couples again at Thanksgiving! A Thanksgiving that they definitely won't forget!

I loved that we got a glimpse into the blue collar brothers series as well with the exclusive prequel! Anothet fantastic series that is a must read for me.

I was so excited over the Charity Case series and the message of empowerment, love and compassion. Aaaand the romance! Follow Victoria from working in LA to living in Chicago to join Chelsea and Hannah (Clean Slate) at a foundation to empower young girls. I have the single books that I received previously and am providing my voluntary review.

Manic Monday: Victoria is a strong woman but she's not convinced that making room for a man in her life can be done without losing herself again. Reed is determined to prove his case. Could Reed be any better? Nope, nope, nopity nope. Manic Monday was such a great book.

Afternoon Delight: It's been five years since Chelsea has seen her bad boy ex-husband, Dean. She's been dating guys the opposite of him but no one is sticking...there could be a good reason for that. It's great to see 'old friends' from prior books in the story. Don't worry, you do not have to read the other books to understand Chelsea's story or know the connection to the other characters.

Happy Hour: Hannah has been the epitome of calm, cool and collected in the prior books of this series so it's been great getting to read her story in Happy Hour. She cannot deny Roarke is a very handsome man. However, Hannah has a tough time forgetting that he was the man who had her trailed looking for lascivious behavior while getting the most money for her cheating ex in the divorce. Can Roarke shatter her image of him or is he just the man she assumed he was?

This series is AMAZING!!! I was hooked right from the first chapter. In the first book we meet the lovely Victoria and the ever so handsome Reed. Reed was the best man in Victoria’s wedding so it was a tangled love triangle from the beginning. Reed gets Victoria out of her shell and shows her and her daughter Jade what true love is.

In the second book we meet Dean and Chelsea. This is a second chance novel that had me laughing one minute and sitting on the edge of my seat the next. The dynamic of their relationship and their quick banter keeps the reader engaged. I loved Dean and Chelsea I think they’re my favourite couple in this series. The way he fights so hard to get her back and tries to win her over had me wishing he was my real life boyfriend. You’ll fall in love with them just as quick as I did.

The final novel in this book is Roarke and Hannah’s book. Roarke is Hanna’s ex husbands lawyer. This is a love to hate relationship. Hannah had me thrown for a bit I really did not think she would warm up to Roarke. Hannah has trust issues and Roarke works his butt off to win her over and eventually they both get the romance of a lifetime.

Overall if you haven’t read this series I HIGHLY recommend this series. I started it on a Wednesday and finished the whole series by Friday . I could not put it down!! Theirs also a nice little bonus scene at the end of the series with all our favourite characters .

Once again 5 starts for the lovelies that are Piper Rayne ❤️

All the characters were so well written in this box set, they felt like real, individual people with real lives, dreams & hopes.
Clean Slate – short prequel novella, perfectly providing a brief backstory for Victoria and setting up the first full novel in the series.
Manic Monday: Forbidden Love: Reed was best man at her wedding so should be out of bounds. Victoria continually bumps into him, but tries to resist her growing attraction. Reed was such a great guy – kind, generous and thoughtful which made it more difficult for her to resist. Really en-joyed their story.
Afternoon Delight: Second Chance romance. Chelsea and Dean married and divorced at a young age. Five years later, they meet up again. Has he really changed? Can she trust him? Loved Dean’s determination to be the best man he could be to be deserving of Chelsea.
Happy Hour: Enemies to Lovers. Two strong, independent lead characters. Hannah hates Roarke because he was her ex’s divorce attorney. She’s not prepared to give him the time of day, let alone a date. The chemistry between these two burns off the page. This was my favourite in the set - really wanted these two to get together and enjoyed their journey to hea.
I received a free copy of this book from the author and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Great box set

I enjoyed reading all these stories before and I'm glad they are all in one place. This series is about three strong women who support and love each other through all their problems in their love lives. Their business is helping girls succeed and in turn, this helps them, too.
I liked reading the first short story Clean Slate that tells about Victoria and her pre-move to Chicago when she was working for Jagger in California. She had to quit and move back home to Chicago to help take care of her mother.
Manic Monday continues Victoria's story. She again meets Reed who was the best man at her wedding. She and Reed had chemistry before she married and now that she's divorced, she feels the same chemistry. The only problem is that Reed is a lawyer like her ex-husband. Will she be able to get over this problem?
Afternoon Delight is Chelsea and Dean's story. They married young and got divorced when they had misunderstandings that they couldn't get over. They meet again and the spark is still there. Will they be able to put the past behind them and start over?
Happy Hour is Hannah and Roarke's story. Hannah hates Roarke because he represented her ex in their divorce and took almost all of her assets. Roarke tries to explain that he didn't like doing that to her but had to do his job. Will they be able to get past their hate/love and just get to the love part?
The final story was new to me as Bonus Material to the series. It's a Thanksgiving meal with the whole gang with Hannah and Roarke hosting. The trouble starts with Hannah not knowing how to cook. Things go downhill fast but the friends and significant others support each other as usual.
I really like this series and I'm glad the stories are all in one place. I received an early copy to read without anything expected in return. I also own my own copy. I'm leaving my honest review.

Charity Case is a fantastic set of stories all revolving around three strong, sassy independent women who all happen to be divorced and working in the same small office. They are co-workers but more importantly they are friends who never thought they would find love again. What started as Monday morning divorcee dating discussions have turned into relationship discussions as they support each other while the each search for their own happily ever after!
If you enjoy single parent, second chance or enemies to lovers romance stories than you will not be disappointed and you will be treated to all three in this complete series!

Read as an ARC and loved it so much I bought the book!
Victoria moves back to Chicago to be with her mom, and this leads to her working for Hannah and Chelsea. A truly amazing friendship is borne. This series follows the love and drama of their lives.
Divorced Victoria meets Reed the best man at her wedding. But is he the best man for her?
Chelsea and Dean got married young and divorced when life went off the rails. Five years later are they able to reconnect or move on from the past?
And lastly Hannah and the silver fox.... Yum.

Lovely stories with some beautiful heartwarming feelings.

Loved them all

This is a great series. I’m not sure what I liked better, the romances or the fact that they took place in Chicago. Although I haven’t lived there in over 20 years, I knew a lot of areas they talked about so it was like going down memory lane. It started out like a nod to The First Wives Club, with three divorcées working at a nonprofit organization to help young girls find their voice. One by one they each find a hot lawyer to love.
I loved this series and I recommend it to everyone.

This is an amazing compilation of this series. At first, Victoria and Reed were my favourite couple, then it changed to Chelsea and Dean but by the third novel it was Hannah and Rourke all the way. Such beautiful stories, brought a tear to my eye at some parts. Great to catch up with previous characters and getting introduced to newer characters for their own series. These ladies just write the best contemporary romance novels. Great characters, plots and all the feels.

This is a fun series about Victoria, Chelsea and Hannah and how they all find love after divorce. These 3 ladies are strong, independent and don't need a man in their life. It is fun to see how hard they make them work to earn their trust. There are lots of laughs as they discuss their exes, plenty of swooniness over the men who work their way into their hearts, and a bit of heartbreak in their pasts. I really loved the foundation and empowering girls/young women to have a voice.

From a foundation that works to help empower girls, to the amazing supportive friendship between three independent, strong women, to the sexy men they found to partner with, this series had it all. I love that independent women can find love with sexy, strong men who want to stand with them not in front of them. All three stories were fabulous.

First time reading these books! It was such a good read . I enjoyed Chelsea, Victoria, and Hannah’s stories ! I couldn’t put the book down the storyline definitely flowed ! Their men fought for the love they found in these women no matter the pasts that came up or the walls that were put up ! Piper Rayne is such a favorite author of mine and this did not disappoint !

3 sweet divorcees

What a tastefully sweet compendium of stories? There are 3 main stories, with an introductory novella, that take us on a journey of finding better love the second time around.

DNF... I didn't like Victoria and after reading some other reviews I'm pretty sure I would have continued to dislike her.

All the books were written well and I had a hard time putting in down. I like that the stories were interconnected but are still stand alone.
