With his wrathblade in hand, Damon returns to the farm alongside his aesta, Malon. The days pass in a routine mixture of familiar chores and fair spring weather. The two of them return to normal, ignoring the illicit shadow of their shared intimacy.
But he simply cannot forget their night in the tent. How could he ever forget her body and her touch? Malon’s insistence on shoring up the proper, appropriate boundaries between them only makes it that much harder to dismiss how far he and his aesta have already gone.
Fortune favors the bold… and the patient. Damon trains with his sword, helps out around the tower, and plays the part of a well behaved solas. At least, until Ria and Vel arrive back home.
This book contains forbidden consensual sexual encounters between the main character and the closest women in his life.

The saga of Damon, Malon, Vel, and Ria continues. This continues the story from Book 1 with lots of action, suspense, and steamy romances. Damon, Malon, Vel and Ria have a complicated relationship. Damon is attracted and aroused by the three women, though they are forbidden due to the nature of their relationship. Malon is more than she seems. Damon is being tempted by Wrath. Ria’s betrothal causes problems.Things get even more complicated when they discover a precious shield in a kestian and Damon sells it to Princess Kastet. She orders Damon to investigate the kestian supervised by Vel, who is her handmaiden. There are plot twists and turns as they solve the kestian’s puzzles, plunder its riches, and survive its dangers. The story continues in Book 3.
I was looking for more in this second book than I found here. There seems to be a lack of direction, but it's possible that what happened is this book will set things up in the next, as there is definitely potential if it can be harnessed.
This book was a seamless continuation of Book 1 and follows onward into another fantasy adventure in which each of the family learns a bit more about themself. I was sure there would be a Book 3 waiting to be read but see that that presumption was incorrect. This book ends in a manner that is ripe for continuation since it appears Damon and his childhood companions have came to an agreement and seem destined for further adventures. But, their caregiver has set rules that may dampen future relations that remain to be seen and probably won’t be unless the author doesn’t come up with Book 3. In any event, this book is worth reading as it’s entertaining and well written. The main adventure is worth a read as is the interchanges between all characters. I recommend this book for the sheer pleasure and enjoyment of a situational adventure that can’t be taken seriously and provides a couple grins at the same time.
Fantasy harem adult situations There is no blood between the four, but there is taboo because they lived as family. The discovery of an ancient set of shrines tests them. In some ways the story has all the hallmarks of a lurid soap opera. Damon is eager to explore the sexual side of his relationships without thinking much less planning for his future or how relationships will need to change. Damon at this point reacts but doesn't act. There is the mystery of who the blonde lover in the last book was? While circumstances heavily implicate Vel, but she denies it, and the masked woman had a blonde carpet, yet Vel in this book is clean-shaven and under age twenty, this world's majority. Still too many secrets between all of them. Hmm.
DNF @ the part where the gang gets out of the tomb, after finishing all the chambers.
Started out as a good book, but the plots quality/believability became pretty non-existent after/during the mirror scene. The whole chellange is weird and illogical, not fitting into the previous themes of the world at all. I can only imagine the book becoming better with a future plot twist, where we'll get a "the previous 10 chapters were all a dreeeeam", and the author starts over from Craven's room. Also, the way the new bigbad was made into a bigbad was just... bad.
Disappointed in the series, probably won't continue.
I purchased this book after getting a recommendation from Amazon and reading the first book. I found it hard to put down. The flirtatious banter between the MC and the women in his life really kept me interested in guessing where the story would progress. Without giving much away, I really enjoyed the challenges the characters faced when underground. I'm now a big fan of Anya's and I'm off to purchase the 3rd book.
I am loving this new series from Anya! This book builds on the tension and relationships formed in the last book. Really focuses on the MC’s relationship with Ria and his Aesta. I think Vel will play a bigger role in the next book. Loved it and can’t wait for the next book in the series!
More teasing. DAMN. I Need for Damon to conquer all three women! Speaking of the other women please explain the names for Damon; Solas, son, ward, stepson what? Acosta for Malon; mother, stepmother, guardian, what? Seta for Ria and Val; daughter, stepdaughter, ward what? PLEASE give Damon all three in the next episode. 😔
The characters are wonderfully developed, the plot is detailed and this world is fascinating. This is a book of fantasy that touches on subjects not for those that who can't see it for what it is. I lol forward to book 3
Interesting story arc, better than usual character development, believable plot elements... all of this, along with quite a bit of teasing from the author makes it a great read.
Story needs more fighting and less awkward grinding. This series came highly recommended, however I don't get it. The sexy parts are just awkward. The MC tries banging or at least rubbing against his Foster Mother and Sisters every chance while simultaneously chiding himself against it.
Another excellent Sin and Soil book, this one truly doesn’t disappoint. The characters expanded, I learned more about the magic and the complicated relationships between the characters, great book.
I absolutely loved it I cannot wait for them all to come together I love the story line and the characters I can't wait to find out more about the sword
Good second book. This is almost as sexy as book 1. I really like all the characters and their quirks. Damon living every man dream. Three sexy women and him alone. Hurry with book 3 Anya.
