Journalist Trish Taylor steps out of her front door in Charlotte, NC, one fine October morning, feeling good, until she looks down and finds a menacing note from a mysterious figure known only as Salamander. Is the note related to her husband’s death a year ago or perhaps to her investigation of the big bank fire in which several people died? Or is it something else? Immediately she is thrust into a series of dangerous encounters as she searches for the unexpected, chilling truth in this cozy mystery.

I loved the book. It was absolutely thrilling to the core with some unexpected twists in the climax. Trish Taylor did a marvelous job by exposing the corrupt and bringing the true culprit to justice. Awesome book.
