Catherine Bruns is a talented writer who always pens an entertaining cozy mystery. In the Italian Cafe series, she’s created an endearing and memorable cast of main characters that I love following along with their lives.

In book three, Tessa Esposito is immersed in creating delectable dishes at Anything’s Pastable. Down the street, her good friend, Archie Fenton is struggling to make ends meet at his coffee shop, Java Time, because a new competitor, Mario Russo, has opened another coffee place right across the street, The Espresso Lane, and is undercutting Archie’s prices. This Mario is a rude playboy and Tessa can’t stand him. Lots of people dislike him for various reasons, and it appears his dark past has followed him to town.

Author Bruns creates an assembly line of suspects who could easily be cold-blooded murderers. Best friend, Gabby, and her detective brother, Gino, work well together with Tessa by sharing information to solve the crime. I liked all the action, and had my eyes on several could-be killer’s; however, I didn’t have the correct answer so the reveal was a complete surprise! I’d also been wondering who Tessa would choose—Justin, or Vince, as her romantic interest? Read the story on release day, 10.26.2021, for the answer to that question, and many more! Delicious recipes included.

I honestly reviewed a digital arc provided by NetGalley and Poisoned Pen Press. All opinions are my own. Thank you.

I love to read holiday themed cozy mysteries all year long, and I enjoyed reading this one quite a bit.
I'm not familiar with this series, so I was a little confused about the characters, but that did not distract me from the story.
Tessa Esposito is a solid character, and I'm looking forward to reading the previous books in this series.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for selecting me to read an advanced copy of this book.

Dollycas’s Thoughts

Anything’s Pastable (I love that name) is open and owner and chef Tessa Esposito is ready for the holidays. She is baking tons of cookies to be served at Harvest Park’s annual Festival of Lights and getting ready for her Breakfast with Santa on Christmas Eve morning. She is also serving delectable meals at the restaurant on a daily basis. Working long 12 hour days are tiring her out but she wouldn’t have it any other way.

Harvest Park newcomer Mario Russo has become a daily customer who appears to have a crush on Tessa and most of the other women in Harvest Park. He opened The Expresso Lane, a coffee bar, about 3 months ago directly across the street from the beloved Archie Fenton’s Java Time. He is a pushy deplorable man that turns off Tessa in every way possible, plus his business is putting a huge dent in Archie’s business and several other Harvest Park businesses. Tessa tries to keep the Christmas Spirit but the man sure does not make that easy.

The first night of the Festival of Lights appears to be a grand success until Marco Russo’s dead body is found outside The Lake House where refreshments were being served and where kids could visit with Santa, the aforementioned Mario Russo. Sadly, the police have pegged Archie Fenton as their prime suspect but Tessa knows the list of Mario’s enemies in long and while most may be nice, someone was naughty and decided Mario would not be brewing another cup of coffee or listening to any more children’s wishes. Tessa with the assistance of her cousin Gabby hopes to identify the killer who will be getting the coal in their stocking behind bars.

This story contains a fabulous mystery set during the holiday season but it is so much more. Catherine Bruns has created characters that I have genuinely grown to enjoy following through their daily joys and trials. Tessa is an excellent protagonist. She has a curious nature and a huge heart. Her best friend Gabby makes an excellent sidekick and will support Tessa in any way she can. Gabby’s brother Gino is a cop who begs them both to stay in their lanes and let the police handle the investigation. Tessa’s landlord Vince is much more than he originally seemed and that made me happy. Firefighter Justin was Tessa’s husband’s best friend. Since her husband’s death, he has helped her in any way he can and has admitted that he does have feelings for her. She also has feelings for him but never wants to lose the friendship they have built so she is afraid to take their relationship to the next level. These characters are very likable and true to life. They face some very dramatic/dangerous situations but they all have each other’s back and will always be there for each other.

The author also includes a wonderful supporting cast that are believably connected and have purpose that adds to the story. Both the core and supporting characters are developing at a reasonable pace. She also created the swarmy Mario and gave this reader plenty to hold against him which led predictably to his death.

This mystery was a lot of fun because there were a lot of suspects. The plethora of suspects added several exciting moments. I just couldn’t zero in on the actual killer so the reveal was a thrilling surprise.

The Enemy You Gnocchi was a fantastic read. I love the way this author blends mystery with just the right amount of romance. The story is also written to draw the reader in and hold on tight. The main mystery is joined by delightful subplots and flows flawlessly. It truly was a Perfect Escape. I can’t wait to return to Harvest Park to see what these characters get into next.

Note – Ms. Bruns has included some marvelous recipes. You will want to try all of them before, during, and after reading this story, so plan ahead.

Author Catherine Bruns delivers a delightful holiday whodunit with The Enemy You Gnocchi, the third installment of the Italian Chef Mysteries. This series was my first introduction to Ms. Bruns and I have been delighted by each new book in the series. I adore Tessa Esposito. She is a terrific main character with genuine qualities that make readers want to come back for more. I think the author has done a fantastic job with the character growth and development in this book. Tessa is ready to move on after the death of her husband but the author didn't rush it along. The secondary cast of characters includes her cousins Gabby and Gino who I also adore. One loves to be Bess to Tessa's Nancy Drew, while the other is a cop trying to keep her nose out of murder investigations. I love the real sense of family that is always present in each book.

The mystery was very well done. It's the holidays and a new shopkeeper in town, who has basically made an enemy of everyone, is found murdered at the town festival. Because the victim has so many enemies and was so unlikable, the author allowed herself to have room for multiple suspects. She laid out her clues well, dusting them with some twists and turns and topping them with a few red herrings. The reader (or at least this one) had to pay close attention because I followed each clue down every rabbit hole and still came up with the wrong killer in the end. The killer was revealed in a great climactic fashion, and Tessa once again helps her cousin bring a killer to justice.

This is such a terrific series and fans will not want to miss this holiday treat. I will definitely be back for future books in this series. I think the author has so much more in store for these characters and her readers. I don't want to miss out on any of it.

I voluntarily read a digital advanced reader copy that was provided to me by the publisher, Poisoned Pen Press, through NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions expressed in this review are my own.

THE ENEMY YOU GNOCCHI, the third book in the Italian Chef Mysteries by Catherine Bruns, continues the story of Italian chef, Tessa Esposito, with a temptingly delicious read. From the start, the author’s strong descriptive voice brings the reader right into the thick of things, with the sights, sounds, aromas, and tastes of Tessa’s cooking evoking the holiday season. Ms. Bruns has also taken care to create memorable characters that complement each other on the pages, as well as change and grow over the course of the series. Especially enjoyable are Tessa and her cousin/best friend, Gabby. Their repartee adds a sense of family and closeness, which allows the reader to feel like they’re getting to know them on a deeper level. While this book can be read as a standalone, starting from the beginning builds an appreciation for how the characters’ personalities and lives move forward.

With a tightly plotted mystery of finding out who would have wanted to kill Santa during the town’s Festival of Lights, including Tessa herself, I was kept glued to the pages. There were clues to keep me on my toes and suspects aplenty that kept me guessing, unsuccessfully I should add. The surprising and suspenseful reveal had me on the edge of my seat until I’d read the very last page. This drool-worthy mystery is a great way to usher in the holiday season while munching on cookies and sipping hot cocoa!

With so many mouthwatering dishes and desserts mentioned throughout the story, it was a pleasure finding several recipes at the back of the book. They all sound fantastic!

I was provided with an advance copy. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I love holiday themed cozy mysteries and will read them any time I get a chance. The covers are so darn appealing and the cozy mysteries inside are so hard to pass up.
This one, The Enemy You Gnocchi is the third in the Italian Chef Mystery series.
I loved the opening talking about Italian food reminiscent of what her Grandma used to make, the sauce with garlic, herbs and tomatoes. You can just smell it and it makes you hungry for a hearty dish of pasta.
Chef Tessa Esposito is busy stirring the sauce her grandmother used to make in her own Italian restaurant in Harvest Park called Anything's Pastable but that's not all she's doing. When something needs done she's your woman so she's also baking dozens and dozens of cookies for a town commitment while putting in twelve hour days at her restaurant.
Newcomer in town Mario has opened up a coffee shop and he's hurting the town's business by undercutting them.
Many are mad at him for doing so plus he flirts with many of the women in town. Is this a reason for him to turn up dead though?
This is a fast paced and exciting mystery. The plot is great and will keep you guessing.

⭐⭐⭐

This book is a little hard for me to rate. It was very well written. Held up well as a standalone. The plot was engaging. The mystery kept me guessing until the end, and the characters were likable (although I found Tessa annoying at times).

The main issue I had with this book is that I loathe romantic angst in my cozy mysteries. If I want to read that type of thing, I would have picked up a romance. A genre which at the moment I have ZERO interest in. Half this book seemed to be Tessa lamenting about her dead husband and/or her feelings for his best friend. Every time it was brought up, I wanted to stab myself in the eye with a red hot poker. 😂

So yeah, if you don't mind romance in your cozies, then I'd definitely recommend this one. If you are like me and don't want a bunch of romantic angst wedged in with your mystery, I would probably give this one a pass.

This one had the perfect cozy mystery vibe with a festive twist. I loved the holiday setting, the small-town drama, and all the food descriptions (seriously, they always make me hungry).

I also love that these books balance warmth, emotion, and mystery so well. There were moments of tension, but also heart, humor, and comfort. And of course, I always enjoy the recipes included — such a fun bonus!

The Enemy You Gnocchi is the third book in Catherine Bruns’ Italian Chef Mysteries series. The storyline flows smoothly in this steadily paced cozy whodunit, and the well-developed characters are delightful. Ms. Bruns is a talented author whose descriptive writing brings the reader right into the action. The tightly plotted mystery contains plenty of twists, red herrings, and suspects to keep the reader engaged. I recommend this book to readers who enjoy reading well-crafted cozy mysteries.

The annual Festival of Lights is underway, and Tessa Esposito, a talented Italian chef, is hosting Breakfast with Santa at her restaurant, Anything’s Pastable. While still grieving the passing of her husband just over a year ago, Tessa is determined to savor the holiday and all it has to offer. When Mario Russo, a new Harvest Park resident and the owner of The Espresso Lane, turns up dead, Detective Gino Mancusi, Tessa’s cousin, must follow the evidence which points to Archie Fenton, Tessa’s good friend and the owner of Java Time. Since Mario’s arrival in Harvest Park, he’s made enemies of almost everyone he’s met, so in Tessa’s mind, the pool of potential suspects is unlimited, and she is determined to clear her friend’s name.

The Enemy You Gnocchi, the third book in Catherine Bruns’s Italian Chef mystery series is another strong entry in this formidable collection. It tugs at your heartstrings more than most cozy mysteries and packs a powerful emotional punch. Yet we never lose sight of the mystery.

Tessa Esposito and her Anything’s Pastable crew are serving Italian delectables at the Festival of Lights, a local holiday gathering in Harvest Park. However, a damper descends on the festivities when Mario Russo, the man playing Santa, is found dead just outside the celebration. Who would want Mario dead? Apparently, there are plenty of suspects, including Java Time’s owner, Archie Fenton. Mario, the proprietor of a new coffee house, The Espresso Lane, is an obnoxious man who has angered many of Harvest Park’s citizens. Archie is fed up with the way Mario has lowered his prices to lure patrons out of Java Time and into The Espresso Lane. Unfortunately, this keen competition for customers leads police to focus on Archie as their prime suspect. Tessa knows that the kind-hearted Archie could not have committed murder, so she steps in to help solve the case.

Yes, this is a really good book, with a compelling mystery, with several twists and turns of fast-paced drama. But the murder mystery is not the only thing that keeps the reader flying through the pages. Although she had been widowed a year ago, Tessa is still struggling with her husband’s death and her new-found feelings for his best friend, Justin, with whom she has bonded following Dylan’s untimely demise. This makes for several poignant and heart-felt moments, leaving Tessa with an important decision to make. The emotional ups and downs she experiences ring true. The supporting cast is fantastic. Gabby is the quintessential best friend, on hand to dispense timely and wise advice just when Tessa needs it. Cousin Gino, a detective with the police, walks the line between adherence to rules and a desire to include Tessa in the investigation. And Justin is kind and heroic, sharing the loss of Dylan with Tessa and hoping for more. Their blossoming relationship becomes an integral part of the novel.

This series just gets better and better. The Enemy You Gnocchi, with its excellent combination of emotion and suspense, is a book you can’t put down. And its characters will find a way into your heart, and I am looking forward to seeing what happens to Tessa next.

Note: I received an ARC of The Enemy You Gnocchi from NetGalley and Poisoned Pen Press. The above is my honest review.

The Enemy You Gnocchi Earns 5/5 Buon Natale Greetings…Entertaining Fun!

The local theater production of A Christmas Story, the Festival of Lights, and the town dressed for holiday cheer, couldn’t make for a better Christmas, but there’s a Scrooge in the form of Mario Russo. His coffeehouse, with freebies and cut-rate prices, is an “across the street” competitor of Tessa Esposito’s good friend Archie Fenton’s Java Time. He also has an overzealous, creepy, “thing” for Tessa and refuses to take no for an answer including grabbing her arm to get her continued attention. She’s surprised to learn the man who usually plays Santa at the festival is sick and Mario’s been pegged to take his place; isn’t Archie suppose to be the back up? Mario’s even pressuring Tessa to hire him as her own Santa figure for her Breakfast with Santa event on Christmas Eve. [Enter karma] Mario is found dead.

Catherine Bruns has lit up the holiday season with her third book in an Italian Chef Mystery series with karma delivering some justice. The victim is less than “jolly old elf” with rumors of loan sharks, questionable dealings, disgruntled business owners, and a string of women instead of Ho-Ho-Hos. The stockings are hung with loads of suspects slowly revealing secrets, clues, and reasonable motives (a must for me). The crime occurs early putting the investigation at the center along with Tessa’s daily cooking at her restaurant, gatherings with family, and navigating her relationship with good friend Justin. And Wow! a great ending…Watch out! Bonus! Catherine includes easy-to-follow recipes: Christmas Thyme Cookies, Gingerbread Pizzelle, Harvest Park Hot Chocolate Cookies, and of course, Tessa’s Easy Gnocchi.

I’m sometimes hesitant to start a series in the middle of it, but the synopsis of The Enemy You Gnocchi was just too good (and who can resist an adorable cat thrown in the mix?) that I kept an open mind and dived in.

Tessa, restaurant owner and head chef specializing in Italian food and pastries was a formidable character. She didn’t embody a nosy busy body that can be typical in many cozies, but instead she played an amazing amateur sleuth that did her sleuthing in scenarios that were more realistic than others.

The author had me going down routes to figure out who the killer was, but the red herrings she placed in my way were so well developed that I guessed wrong right up until the grand reveal.

And of course, I especially loved the possible love interest triangle that was introduced to me and had me sighing with content on how this part of the story concluded.

Overall, this was a wonderful holiday cozy mystery and I look forward to reading about where Tessa’s story will lead to next.

Thank you Poisoned Pen Press for the arc. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

The Enemy You Gnocchi is the 3rd in the An Italian Chef Mystery Series by Catherine Burns where the annual Festival of Lights are underway. Tessa is in full swing getting read for the Santa Breakfast, if only she could find someone to play Santa since Justin is working. Mario Russo who owns the new coffee shop in town is really stirring up trouble in the small community and he's set his eyes on Tessa. Tessa isn't impressed! When Mario is found dead in his Santa Suit, Tessa feels she needs to find out who killed him since her cousin brought Archie in for questioning! I really enjoyed this book with lots of twist and turn in this mystery. Catherine Burns is a wonderful writer!

Who says murder can't be festive?

When the guy who was hired to play Santa at Harvest Park's annual Festival of Lights is found dead, Tessa Esposito is determined to find out who is responsible for his death, because surely it can't be one of her close friends... Right?

To be honest- I'm not usually drawn to Christmas themed stories outside of December, but I happened to be in the mood for a cozy mystery and The Enemy You Gnocchi caught my eye!

Catherine Bruns really had me going! I don't mean to brag- more often than not I'm able to guess who did it, but not this time! I appreciate the challenge!

Thanks to Poisoned Pen Press and NetGalley for my review copy.

This is the third book in Catherine Bruns’ Italian Chef Mysteries series, and I felt like there was a good balance of discussion of the past with little introductions of the characters. I definitely think this is one that can be enjoyed as a stand alone, although that said, I enjoyed it enough to go back and read more from the series.

The characters were fun, and the backdrop to the story felt Christmassy enough to justify being a Christmas book, rather than just Christmas adjacent.

If you’re looking for a Christmas cosy murder, this one is definitely worth checking out!

Review:

The characters are well rounded and well developed. Tessa and Gabby find themselves involved in another murder. This time it is a person that not many people like. The prime suspect is a good friend so Tessa and Gabby need to find the real culprit before he gets put away. Tessa and Gabby will do whatever they have to do to make sure justice is served.

The writing style flows smoothly and it defines the characters very clearly by their actions and words. The author is very talented in her descriptive writing and these descriptions pulled me into the story from the very beginning. I wanted to keep reading so I could find out what was going to happen and what would happen in Tessa’s love life. The mystery was well plotted and I did not figure it out until it was revealed at the end.

I would highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a well crafted cozy mystery. I enjoyed this book so much and I cannot wait to read the next one.

I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book provided by the publisher, Poisoned Pen Press, and NetGalley, which I greatly appreciate.

Book Review:

I gave this book 4 stars. It is the third book in the Italian Chef Mysteries. You can read this as a standalone, but you miss out on the back story. I was a little lost by not knowing what happen in the first two books. The author tried really hard to give clues so you would be able to follow. The good reads synopsis gives you a good view on what happens in the book. What I like about the book is the friendships of the small town and the family units. Tessa is the cousin of the main police detective, and he knows how she thinks and works. He knows that telling her to stay out of the investigation is almost point less but he keeps trying. Tessa finds herself realizing that she has feelings for her late husband’s best friend, and she is trying to come to term with it. This book takes place 14 months after the first book where her husband is killed.

I am finding myself wanting to get her other books so I can read them to get the full picture and then reread this one. It is a fast read and you will tear up in parts of the book.

Tessa is gearing up for the holiday season and looking forward to the Festival of Lights. The only downside is Mario Russo, a.man who thinks he's god gift to women and hits on Tessa constantly. She would ban him from her restaurant but she hates to turn away from money. He is a new member of the community who has opened a coffee shop. Tessa hates that her favorite local coffeehouse has been looking business since Mario has come to town. When Mario is found dead at the start of the Festival Tessa realizes that there are quite a few people that wanted the man gone. Soon it becomes clear that the cops are looking at a good friend and that she just can't sit by and do nothing. After going through a list of the mans enemies Tessa learns that there quite a few people in his past that hated him too. Follow along as Tessa tries to put the pieces together to figure out who the killer is. Will she find a killer before someone else ends up dead?

THE ENEMEY YOU GNOCCHI is the 3rd installment in the Italian Chef Mysteries, but it can be read as a standalone. There is plenty of background information to keep the reader in the know. I am obsessed with pasta, so I love the Italian chef theme! This book is a delightful whodunit set during Christmas. It was a fun and fast paced read. Bruns creates quite the festive atmosphere to set the mood. She writes a multitude of characters who could all be suspects in this cozy murder mystery. This book is filled with delicious food, plot twists, action, and even some romance! There’s some excellent recipes in the back of the book that I can’t wait to try out, too! I really enjoyed this book and look forward to reading others in the series. I highly recommend this for all cozy mystery fans looking for a festive read.

This is my favorite of the series so far. Tessa's character grows so much in this one, learning to open up to possibilities in her personal life as well as her professional life. The mystery was interesting and had me guessing the whole time, with plenty of suspects and a potential mafia connection. The characters were interesting and I felt the sense of community the author was trying to build. Can't wait to try a few of the recipes from the back of the book.

Catherine Bruns has another five star book (from me!) in the Italian Chef Mystery Series with the third book in the series, The Enemy You Gnocchi. I've also read and reviewed the prior two books: Penne Dreadful and It Cannoli Be Murder. Though you can read them on their own, they're much more fun to read in order! That way you'll get the full picture, and you won't have to worry about spoilers!

I love Christmas time! Decorating is always hard work because I have SO much stuff, but it's worth it. The tree lights make me happy. Looking at the ornaments and other Christmasy things that belonged to my grandma makes me happy too. She always went all out with decorations too, and as she got older, I often helped her put them up. Anyway... I love Christmas books too, and The Enemy You Gnocchi takes place during the Christmas season. Bruns's detailed descriptions make you feel as if you're in the book. You can smell the cookies and other yummy food. The cold starts seeping into your bones...that's what cozy blankets are for. It really put me in the mood for the holidays.

The characters are well-developed, and you'll feel like you know them personally. This is one reason I recommend reading the other two books first because the relationships grow and characters evolve with each book. I love Tessa and her best friend cousin Gabby. When they're together, personal safety sometimes gets thrown out the window! This is much to Gabby's brother/Tessa's cousin Gino's dismay. He's always telling them to stay out of it, yet they never listen. If they did, solving the mystery wouldn't be as much fun! Speaking of the mystery, this is well-plotted with just enough red herrings to keep you guessing.

Don't miss the delicious recipes in the back! I enjoyed this book tremendously and can't wait for the next!

Thanks to Poisoned Pen Press for providing an ARC of this book. I was not required to give a review.

I adore Tessa. I love her strong family ties and her love of cooking and baking. I loved this story. I kind of thought I knew who might have done it, but I was surprised by the reveal and the ending was fantastic. So excited to see what's next for Tessa!

This series always entertains me. The story line and the characters are so real to life (I grew up in an Italian/Polish/Jewish neighborhood).

It’s Christmas time in Harvest Park and Tessa Esposito is ready for the town’s Festival of Lights. Even though there’s a new coffeehouse in town and it’s taking some of her business she is going to enjoy the holidays. Then when they find the new coffeehouse wonder dead at the Festival of Lights, Tessa ha some sleuthing to do in order to save one of her BFFs who is the prime suspect. Will it be a Merry Christmas or will there be more ghosts joining the local Scrooge this holiday?

This is a great series and I absolutely adore it! This is an author I have read before and i thoroughly enjoy her writing style and characters. If you haven’t read one of her books yet, give tis one a try, it reads fine as a standalone and you will be able to bing her other works and catch up.

Tessa is ready to celebrate the holidays starting with the Festival of Lights.
It's been just over a year since she had became a widow, and she's ready to start living and enjoying her favorite holiday again.

When Mario, the newest business owner in town is killed at the festivals opening night, few if any of the towns citizens and none of the other business owners are really sorry he's gone.
The man went out of his way to make an enemy of everyone he met.

Pro's
Strong and developed characters and plotline, and a really good mystery with lots of suspects.

Con's:
The story ended too quickly!

This is the third book in this series and I would say it's best in the series so far.
With characters that draw you in, and plenty of distractions to keep the story moving at a steady pace.
There's a solid mystery, and for the romantics. Enough of those sidelines to keep the majority of them satisfied, but not enough to distract from the main story.

The Enemy You Gnocchi is a holiday-themed cozy mystery.

I haven’t read the first two books, but I was able to enjoy this book as a standalone.

Tessa Esposito is a hard-working chef, who is eager to move on after her husband’s death. she serves tasty food at the restaurant at the Harvest Park, works 12 hours a day but nothing can stop her from working hard.

Three months earlier, Mario Russo opened a new coffee bar in the neighborhood. Mario doesn’t interest Tessa; it seems like he turns Tessa off in every possible way. On top of that, his business is hurting other businesses.

While Tessa and others are trying to keep the Christmas Spirit, Mario seems like he doesn’t care and doesn’t want to make it easy for anyone.

This was a very well-done holiday season mystery with so many suspects. The characters are well chosen and easy to connect with, they each add value to the story.
Now I have to go back and read the previous books in this series.

The Enemy You Gnocchi by Catherine Bruns is the third book in her Italian Chef Mystery series and two things will happen when you start reading it..... first you will be hungry immediately and want to eat everything mentioned....you may even think you smell the good food that Tessa is cooking. Secondly this book will get you into the Christmas spirit even with a murder involved.

The Italian Chef Mystery series centers around Tessa Esposito and her restaurant Anything Pastable in Harvest Park and her unlucky knack of getting involved in a murder and the investigation. It all started in the first book, Penne Dreadful, after her husband's death and continues with each new book and a new murder. Even though her cousin Gino is a police detective and her cousin Gabby is dating a police officer and she in continually told to stand down, she doesn't.

In The Enemy You Gnocchi there is a new coffeehouse in town, The Espresso Lane, and the owner Marco is not liked by many in town. And his coffeehouse is taking away from Java Time, the coffeehouse that is been there forever and everyone loves owner Archie.

Tessa as per her usual has a lot on her plate with the restaurant, cooking and baking, as well as helping with the annual Festival of Lights but when Mario who is playing Santa at the event is found murdered after going on a break, she knows she has to do something. And when her cousin takes Archie in for questioning relating to the murder, she know she has to step up and prove his innocence.

Tessa luckily doesn't have to do it alone as her cousin Gabby is right there for her.....unfortunately her brother Gino does not like her or Tessa getting involved. However trying to find Marco's murderer proves to be tougher than they realized seeing as there weren't many people in town that liked the guy and they soon learn that his past may be chasing him as well......

Readers will not want to stop reading The Enemy You Gnocchi and the only time you will stop is to get a drink, something to eat and many use the ladies room, or the little guys room. Not only will you love the town and the businesses, the people and the activities but the fact that it is close to Christmas and everyone is in the Christmas spirit, or most people are, you will get that warm, cuddly feeling. And as you read and get deeper into the story, you will be frozen in your spot......and I will warn you that Chapter 11 will give you GOOSEBUMPS !!!! And that is all I have to say.......so hurry up and go grab your copy and get lost with Tessa.....
