"I didn't know what love was until I found you. My true north. My Firecracker."
There's something to be said about reading a book from one of your favorite authors. It's like... Sunday roast. Everyone's had Sunday roast. In my case, special Sunday roasts were my grandma's.
Jessica Lemmon's writing - and her billionaires and bad boys - are like grandma's Sunday roasts, because no one can hold a candle to them.
Case in point - Charmed by the Billionaire. I swooned, I got emotional, and I smiled. A lot, on all three counts. The perfect storm.

For those of you who read (and if you haven't, you should!) Once Upon a Billionaire, you know who Benji is. Benji is the youngest Owen brother who, just like Nate, has been adopted into the family.

I adored Benji. I love his general cockiness, I love his sense of humor, and his dirty mouth too. I love his confidence, and that his heart is in the right place. I love how adorably clueless he is, and how romantic he truly is without even realizing it. His parents died when he was a kid (hence the adoption), and he has a cynical take on anything that seems long-lasting (including his relationships). And so he doesn't do permanent, and doesn't handle intimacy that well either.

Cue Cristin - how can you not love Cristin? Her mother bailed on her and her brothers, forcing her to basically raise them, and neglect herself, in more ways than one - she's still a virgin. She dropped out of school for her brothers, and was determined to make them the best people they could be. But now they're all gone, and she's alone in the house - and she realizes she's been missing out in life.

Cristin is Benji's "life assistant coach". She's also his best friend, she knows his silences, his voices, and his smiles. Nothing ever happened between them - in fact, she's sure he doesn't even see her as a woman anyway... but what if she's wrong?
In fact, what if he volunteers to take her V card? I mean, it's just sex, right? Well...

*Ahem* I will never look at a compass the same way EVER again! *swoons* Or at a donut?

"I am the man in your future, and in your past, and here, in the present."
Their feelings for each other are so inspiring in their simplicity, and so obvious to anyone but them. Cristin thinks she can categorize, compartmentalize, and keep things inside a little box inside her head so she doesn't get hurt. Benji thinks he can take mental pictures for his mental scrapbook, which he can keep to himself and remember later. It's all about playing it safe, but it doesn't really work like that, does it?

In this friends-to-lovers story, Jessica Lemmon shows us life (and love) are all about ripping through those little boxes and taking real pictures meant for real scrapbooks and frames. Cristin and Benji will discover how perfect they are for each other, and just how much they complete one another, without losing who they are.

It's a really amazing, heartwarming page turner that will make you believe in love, and hope to find that person who is your own true north, wherever they may be.

If I thought Nate Owen was a nice book boyfriend, I hadn’t met with Benji yet. Well, we DID meet him in the first book in the series, along with his best friend/life assistant coach Cris, and we got a glimpse at their peculiar relationship. A relationship that evolves in this second book, and that I enjoyed watching bloom.

Just be aware, it’s unrequited love AND friends with benefits–it’s frustrating, borderline cringy, but it’s also rewarding when what should have been casual reveals being deep and strong.

Because there’s a lot of love here, right at the beginning. Not exactly the one we’re waiting for, but the feelings are there. Benji is loyal, attentive, and overall nice with Cris, and that’s what prompts the beginning of their carnal affair. I loved seeing him pulling all the stops to please Cris in every way–and I mean EVERY way. It was hot, sensual and gentle, all at the same time.

Cris was a remarkable character like only this author knows how to write. She turned her hardships into strengths, and developped qualities that made her endearing. I rooted for her.

Compelling characters and a sexy storyline, the author delivers another perfect romance.

When I want to read a good sexy, funny and romance there is no better than Jessica Lemmon. And she has not disappointed me in this book, Book 2 of the Blue-Collar Billionaires is a wonderful story of two friends who work together, Cris is a life coach and assistant to her best friend Benji and when he over hears a conversation about Cris and her needs in a sexual way, he knows he is the man to full fill those needs. Cris has been raising her 3 brothers and never had time for herself and date or get what she needed.

The sexual chemistry between these two is off the charts and as Benji full fills Cris’s fantasy’s, she begins to see what she has missed and she gives Benji the okay to take her most prized gift... her first time....

This book kept me turning the pages a to see what these two best friends were getting up to. They both are charming and sexy personalities and their friendship and humour were fun to read. What I loved about Cris is she trusted Benji to help and give her what she has been lacking in her life... An actually life, just to do what she wanted. Benji was romantic and sexy and wanted to make her feel her best and be the confident woman he knew she was. He knew just what a woman wanted, but the one thing he could not give was a forever and when it comes right down to it, Cris wants the whole deal, the HEA. But it’s a no go for Benji. He’s just not that kind of guy.

This book is going to make you feel all mushy and have you sighing because these two are so HOT together in and out of the bedroom. You are also going to smile and chuckle while reading this book and by the end it’s going to leave you satisfied because you know that’s how you feel every time you read one of Jessica Lemmon’s wonderful, sexy and romantic books.

Thank you, Jessica Lemmon, for giving me the opportunity to read an advance copy of your book. I look forward to the next Blue-Collar Billionaire story.

Let’s talk about “Charmed by the Billionaire by Jessica Lemmon”, second book in the Blue Collar Billionaires series.
💙
I thought I loved the first book in the series, but nothing prepared me for this book. I’m glad that Jessica took a turn on the heaviness that Vivian’s and Nate’s story was and made Benji’s and Cris’s some kind of fun and light. But don’t mistake, there’s some angst and they both have to work on some issues, but their friendship, caring, protectiveness and love for each other was amazing. I loved them as individuals, but together they were kind of a explosion of chemistry, banter and awesomeness.

Cris never thought her best friend/boss Benji, had any womanly desires toward her, but he only needed to overhear a phone call from her and everything changes. I’m happy that he vowed to make their time together a perfect one and showed her how she should be treated, all while “teaching” her all the intimacies she didn’t know. And oh my.... they were so hot! And that donut scene? Yummy!

Their friendship was inspiring, seriously. But as they were changing to truly lovers, it was sometimes frustrating. At times I wanted to lock them together in a room and say that they could only get out of there after they talked about their feelings! In the book life I was Vivian, questioning them about everything and everyone. I liked that even if she loved him so much, she didn’t let go of her dream, especially because it was so opposite of what he wanted.

And then we reached THAT part in the story, where everyone’s hearts were broken, including mine. Although it fitted the characters and it was so painful to read about Benji struggles, especially when it was so on point with his history. That’s a couple you want to protect at all costs. But that end was so romantic... I swoon hard for this story. Now I can’t wait for Archer’s story, but then again it will be the last and I’ll miss them so much!!!

Rating: 4.5/5

From the eye catching cover to the intriguing synopsis, Charmed by the Billionaire did not disappoint at all. Lemmon delivers an incredibly romantic and steamy friends-to-lovers story that will have you hooked from beginning to end.

At the beginning of the story we get to meet, Cris Gilbert, who works for her friend and boss, Benjamin “Benji” Owen. As his personal assistant or life coach as he likes to call her, Cris spends a lot of time with Benji. They have known each other for ten years and it’s in that time that she slowly developed feelings for the man that she can’t have. He doesn’t acknowledge her beyond her role and Cris is ready to move on. Not only is there pressure to meet the right guy, but there is also the fact that she is a virgin and not very experienced when it comes to being with a man/dating. It’s when Benji offers to give her the pleasure that she’s never experienced before that changes her life forever. No matter how much they both try to not let it affect their friendship, once crossing the line new feelings start to resurfaced and Cris has to decide if she willing to let go of what she truly wants in future just to have Benji at her side or let him go.

As the adoptive middle child of the Owens, Benjamin “Benji” Owen works for the family business, Owen Construction. Having the luxury to work from home, Benji has developed a lot of routines with his best friend and life coach, Cris Gilbert. She keeps him on track on and off work. Although they’ve known each other for a very long time, he sees her as more than a best friend but deep down Benji knows that Cris deserves better. He didn’t expect to overhear her say that she’d like to have sex with him, but she does and he offers to take care of her needs temporarily. Little did he know that it would turn out to be so much more and he would have to decide if he can settle down with her or let her go before it’s too late.

I really enjoyed reading Charmed by the Billionaire, the characters were relatable and the realistic. We have to characters who have been there for each other for a decade and they have a strong bond already. So it makes their chemistry that much more sizzling when they decide to cross the line between friends and lovers. We get more background into their personal lives and how that affects what they want in the future. This presents an obstacle for them because they both envision different futures, but they want to be with each other so they have to learn how to compromise if they want to make things work. Although the story can be read as a standalone, previous characters from the first book are very much present in Cris and Benji’s lives. We get a sweet ending, but I have a feeling that their story is will continue and be interconnected with the next book in the series. The ending is still satisfying and I would highly recommend checking it out as well as the first book in the series, Once Upon a Billionaire. :)

Oh my, I think Benji just melted my heart!! I don’t know what it is about Jessica, but every single time I think she can’t top a favourite, she does it again. Loved revisiting Nate and Viv, and was so excited to see how everything played out with Benji and Cris. It was so worth the wait. He comes across as loveable and fun, and what about that swoon-worthy ending! Ugh! Also loved the little subtle nod to the Cranes.. didn’t realise another set of brothers could topple them, but the Owens are way up there too! Definitely worth the read. Already counting the days till we get to see what antics Archer gets up to. Thank you Jessica!

•Finding Your True North•

Great follow up to Nate and Vivians story.

Charmed By The Billionaire is the second book in the Blue Collar Billionaire’s series, which brings us into world of the ultra hot Owen brothers. I adored Benji in Once Upon A Billionaire, he had such a sweet and easy going personality and I was excited to learn more about. He’s so much more than what he projects and I really loved the emotional path the story takes to show that.

My favorite aspect of the book was for sure the relationships between the characters. The bond between the brothers is incredibly endearing, especially with the vastly different personalities between the three. I also loved seeing Vivian’s integration into the family and her close bond with Cris.

The bond between Cris and Benji was obviously the most enthralling with their immense chemistry and beautiful connection.

Cris is such a strong, independent, wonderful character. I found myself relating quite a bit to her and really enjoyed her journey over the course of the book. Benji is just plain HOT!! Everything about this man is swoon-worthy, especially when he starts to open up to Cris.

I love the way this series is written, while they are standalones they also build on top of each other. I find it incredibly unique and feel that it leaves me with more anticipation for the next book.

Cris has been in love with her best friend Benji for years. Besides being best friends, Cris also works as Benji's assistant. She knows she can't cross the line with him, not only would she be out of a job, she would lose her best friend. But seeing Benji's almost continuous rotation of relationships makes Cris realize that it's time for her to not be held back by her feelings. With her brothers (whom she has cared for since they were young) now all out of the house at college, Cris sees it as the perfect time to spread her wings.

Benji knows how wonderful Cris is and, admittedly, he can admit to himself to finding her attractive as well. Of course he'd never go there because then he'd lose not only his life coach, but his best friend. But that doesn't mean he can't be there for Cris after a series of bad first (and last) dates. When he overhears Cris admitting her attraction to him to a friend on the phone, things take an interesting turn.

So Benji and Cris were standouts in the first book Once Upon a Billionaire. Cris's feelings for Benji, and Benji's seeming aloofness where Cris was concerned drew my attention immediately.

I liked learning that Benji wasn't as aloof as it had seemed. That his feelings for her weren't necessarily new or out of the blue, but were there just pushed aside like Cris did for her feelings for him. I think it made their chemistry really sizzle between them. All these pent up feelings and emotions that finally get a chance to surface.

I wish we had gotten a little more of Benji's backstory in regards to his feelings about losing his parents at a young age. It's something that is touched upon, and something that has definitely had long-reaching consequences in his adult life, and when we would get these revelations I felt like I was finally seeing and understanding Benji for the first time. I just wish a little more time had been spent with this revelations and how they played into his budding relationship with Cris.

I don't remember getting Cris's backstory in the first book. Not that it wasn't there, just I don't remember it. That's why when I (re)learned that she had taken care of her three younger brothers after their mother up and left them, I was even more impressed with Cris's strong character. I loved seeing her interactions with the boys and the fact that they do realize what she sacrificed for them.

Overall, there's not much I can say beyond this was a supremely satisfying story. Watching the friendship between Benji and Cris grow and change was wonderful.

I'm excited for Archer's book up next. Jessica Lemmon gives us a good glimpse of what's to come!

Charmed by the Billionaire by Jessica Lemmon, book two in her Blue Collar Billionaires series, is an emotional, steamy, and enjoyable tale of best friends who want more from each other. Now that her youngest brother is in college, Cris has time for herself and hopefully a relationship. She’s an assistant and life coach to Benji Owens, her best friend; who she also has a crush on. Benji convinces Cris to come to his house after her dates to decompress and analyze how her date went. One evening, Benji overhears Cris on the phone saying she’d like to have sex with him. WOW, Benji’s response is YES!! Okay, so Cris always takes care of him at work, so maybe he could take care of her needs once in a while. After all, it would be temporary as Benji didn’t do forever. Having a sizzling encounter, Benji learns that he and Cris are even more compatible in bed compared to their working relationship and also that he’s her first. Neither can get enough between the sheets time with the other. Their magnetism is super-forced and the chemistry is off the charts. Benji fears this relationship is becoming addictive and it’s time to end their fun-time together. Only, he has just broken his own heart, let alone Cris’. Now he has to figure out how to convince her that he’s the one for her and wants her in his life, forever.

Ms. Lemmon wrote an emotional and steamy romance that should not be missed. She provided a tale rich with emotions, sizzling chemistry, sarcasm, a few laughs, revealing conversations, and charming characters giving Cris and Benji a chance at love. I highly recommend Charmed by the Billionaire to other readers and look forward to the next book in this series.

I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.

After all, what are best friends for?

They both have attraction for each other but keep it buried deep inside because neither of them want to ruin their friendship. So when Benji finally overhears Cris on the phone telling Vivian how she’d seduce him, he finally sees a way In. Deciding that they can handle it and not let it get weird, they embark on a sexual adventure together. Benji has had the hots for his best friend and assistant life coach for a while now but have never been one to rock the boat especially knowing that Cristin has a lot going on in her life. But everything changes when Benji overhears Cris saying that she has decided to live her life for herself now and that so happens to include him in it.

••

What was supposed to start as a little bit of fun between two friends soon turns into very real feelings, but the question is will Benji be able to convince Cristin that she is worth having her own happily ever after?

••

This was such a cute picture, I absolutely loved watching Benji and Cristin fall in love and find their way to each other. Jessica Lemmon has really delivered a brilliant friends to lovers romance that hits you right in the feels.

••

I absolutely loved Benji, even though he has been through his own deal of heartbreak he was still such a romantic. But really it was Cristin that was the star of this novel, she was so incredibly selfless in putting the needs of her family before herself, all while being super sassy. But gosh did these two dance around their feeling for a hot minute!

••

This friends to lovers romance is packed with witty banter and steamy chemistry that will have you rooting for this couple to find their happy ending. Definitely a must read!

Jessica Lemmon does it again. This woman is amazing at writing and I just can’t get enough of it. When I started reading this book I immediately loved Cris and Benji together and their chemistry was through the roof. I loved that Cris and Benji had this fun boss/best friend thing going on. It kept things fun and interesting.

One thing I’d like to mention before I forget is the inclusion of Vivian into this book. I really loved her inclusion so much and I like her even more now. I like that she’s part of the family now and we see her so smoothly transition into the Owen's family. She’s just as amazing as in the first book. (I also loved being able to see Nate and Vivian together and in love it’s so sweet)

I loved watching Cris and Benji’s relationship truly blossom in this book and come together. It was sweet and I loved their witty banter. (Don’t get me wrong there ARE steamy moments).

I read this book in one sitting and they kept me interested all the way. You don’t have to read the first book to understand what’s going in this one but it’s recommended. This book is amazing and I think everyone should at least read a Jessica Lemmon book once in their life. I guess you could say I got charmed by the billionaire. ;)

Well, this was another fun story.

This time we have Cris and Benji, two friends who work together, where one pretty much handles everything about the life of the other friend, lol.

I loved Cris, she was so kickass, really great at her job and an even better friend. I also loved her work as an older sister and her family history broke my heart. All in all, I really wanted to be her friend, lol. Now, all this thing starts when she’s confessing her lack of sexual life to a friend and Benji overhears. Now he’s on a mission to make it the best experience for her.

So, Benji. He was a pretty cool guy. He might date a lot, but he was always forthcoming with his intentions and he was this time as well. He wanted to have a good time and make Cris feel special, but he didn’t want a long term thing… and she did.

I did like they were clear from the start about what they wanted, however, the heart has other intentions.

This was a really fun story, very much like the previous book. With lots of swoony moments.

Very recommendable story and looking forward to more.

*Thank you to the author for providing a copy for which I’m giving my honest opinion*

Blue Collar Billionaires book 2 features Cris and Benji. This book is steamy, sexy, flirty and funny but it didn't quite grab me by the collar so to speak. I enjoyed the story, who doesn't love pages so steamy you can see the fog on the page, but I guess I didn't get as much back story as I'd hoped to make this story really touch me. We get to know a lot about Cris more or less but not as much about Benji. I never really enjoy when books are slanted more one sided than dual story.

Cris has been through a lot, having to basically raise her siblings and that forced her to miss out on a lot of living life. Benji was adopted into his family (just like Nate who we met in Once upon a Billionaire) and he hasn't stopped since day one. Confident, cocky, sarcastic, tries his best but needs guidance from his life assistant coach, Cris.

We met them in the previous book but book 2 really takes their relationship and gets into the why and why not of it working so well. This friends to lovers story has you going on a steamy ride that has many ups and downs. The characters are interesting but just wanted that little bit more to complete them in my eyes.

***ARC Provided by the Author***

I love books about 2 people who absolutely, certainly, definitely should be together but aren't becuase they are afraid they will mess up a friendship or a working relationship, or cause issues at family dinners because both are likely to be there...all reasons to be cautious.

The problem? Benji and Cris are meant to be together, and it is getting harder for them to ignore this fact.

This book is about them figuring that out, and figuring out the transition, and figuring out how to make things work between them as their relationship shifts.

To all of that, add the wit and charm of Jessica Lemmon's writing and this is a book you are not going to want to put down. You like the characters, you laugh with them...and cringe when things don't go the way they wanted...and, that is the best you can expect from any title...to be invested enough in the characters to feel drawn in emotionally. You will be drawn in to their story.

I enjoyed and recommend this title.

This was a pretty good book and I would recommend it!
The book is a romance between two best friends and it also a work place romance because our female character works for the male character who is the CEO or something. One day when our female character is going out on a date and comes back to the male character's house, she calls her best friend and basically jokes that she is sexually attracted to her boss/best-friend and he over hears her...oh ya she is a virgin and she is trying to "get rid of it" but at the same time not to some creepo. And that is where the story begins because he offers to be her "coach" and help her out by sleeping with her. And that is the hook-up to more trope. I really liked this book because they are both strong modern likeable characters. The male character is so healthy and good because he respects the female character and seems like a good boss that doesn't sexually harash his coworkers... Anyways this book is pretty good and I am sorry for the vague review, I can't seem to remember their names but the plot is good!

Benji and his assistant Cris have had the hots for each other for a long time. Neither one knew the other was interested until Benji overhears Cris on the phone telling someone. Oops. When the cat is out of the bag Cris and Benji decide to explore things. Cris spent most of her adult years so far raising her younger brothers. With the last one off to college she's a empty nester and not even 30. Benji treats here the way she deserves and is taking care of her. She's not sure how to take all the attention. Cris has always taken care of Benji even though they are friends it's always been part of her job too. Benji parents were killed when he was a young boy then he was adopted by a great family. He's a great guy but won't marry and doesn't do love which is really inconvenient for Cris because she loves him and wants to get married one day. Loved these two together and really enjoyed their chemistry and well as the rest of the family. Can't wait to see what happens with last brother!

The first word that comes to mind for describing this book is delightful. It has everything I love in a romance- witty banter, heat between the characters, supporting friendships that add a little fullness to the story, he's hot (duh!), and it's well written. There isn't a book of Jessica Lemmon's that I don't love. We got a hint at these two and their relationship in the first of the series, so while you don't have to read them in order and could technically read as a stand alone I personally think it's made so much better by going in order. The author gets you fully invested in the characters and you not only want to know how their relationship unfolds, but you'll find yourself rooting for them like their your personal friends. Her writing is just that good. Just a warning tho- you'll probably not get much done once you start reading it because you won't want to set it down!

Cris has been attracted to Benji for years. Benji overheard Cris on the phone saying that she would pay anyone $1,000 if she could get an orgasm from someone other than herself. He says that he can help her with that. Should she accept?

Benji works a little too hard if he's forgetting to eat and drink. It's a good thing he has Cris to help him. It's cute how after her bad dates she goes right to Benji. That confession she said to Vivian, while Benji listened, was entertaining. I like how Benji booked the trip to Florida. It's sad how all she keeps thinking is that she's not good enough.

I didn't like the audiobook. I couldn't get into the story because the male voice wasn't clicking with me. It's not a bad story though.

“Charmed by the Billionaire” is a sexy, steamy, romantic read. There are a lot of sexy times and a few laugh-out-loud moments.

Benji Owen is definitely a charmer. As much as I adored him, he seemed to lack depth—until the end of the story when we finally find out how his childhood defined him.
The focus of this book seemed to mostly be on Cris and her journey, even when we were in Benji’s point of view. There were a lot of references to her raising her brothers and how that impacted who she was.

Don’t get me wrong, there is a lot to enjoy about “Charmed by the Billionaire”, I just wanted to know Benji better during the story, like we did Cris, and not have to wait until the end.

Charmed by the Billionaire is a fun friends to lovers story.

Cris and Benji make an awesome friend/co worker set and it was fun to see them decide if they could/should explore more. Both characters have emotional baggage - Benji’s is a bit heavier. The emotional growth needed for them to have a shot was sweet and a little awkward at the same time.

Add in an interesting secondary cast including Benji’s brothers and this is a fun read that hits the spot. As the second book in a series, I personally think it's more fun to read in order, but these are very independent books and can be read out of order. I am curious about the third brother (Archer) and what his story might be.... also, after meeting Cris' brothers I am hoping they have future stories too!

This is the second book of the Blue Collar Series by Jessica Lemmon and it’s about two best friends Cris and Benji. Cris is a life coach and assistant to her best friend Benji and has been in love with Benji for years. Even though she is in love with Benji she knows she cannot cross the line with him as he is her best friend. When he overhears Cris talking about him and wanting to sleep with him, he decides to take matters into his hands. Their chemistry is off the charts, this book kept me turning the pages. It’s a beautiful story with great characters. Overall just loved this book and the great storyline

Better than the first one. Cris and Benji cross the bestie line into FWB territory- where Cris knows she has FEELINGS, but tries to shove them in a box, and Benji is in denial about his FEELINGS.

It's nice to get a friends to lovers trope that utilizes an actual friendship(not as an excuse to avoid a relationship). And it didn't over hype the 30 year old virgin card. Cris was a virgin but it isn't her main personality trait/main identifying feature. While acknowledging Benji's man-ho tendency without dragging it out. Not much to it. The big conflict is Benji struggling to see what's in front of him- and what he really wants.

Mildly angsty plot with mildly angsty characters.

This was such a funny & well written friends to more book. Benji has had some heartbreaks in the past so he is so leery of relationships. Cris is not only his life assistant coach but also his best friend. Now that her brother is in college Cris wants to take time to have some fun & do things just for her. They truly cared about each other and it was so much fun to see their friendship blossom into a relationship.

I really enjoyed this story! It was cute and romantic and hot. With Benji’s cool smile masking old wounds and Cris’s liberation of raising her younger brothers, these two made the perfect couple. I loved how their romance helped them both, opening their eyes to see that there’s more to life and it’s okay to take care of yourself. Not only was this story romantic and quirky and funny but also rewarding. A must read!!!

Benji😍 I was so eager to know Archer’s story that this one completely caught me off guard. I was in literal tears towards the end. The way Benji made Cris special is everything. I’m holding on to find someone like that now. Let me also tell you that I finished this book in one go. Thank you for this one. I hope we get to have an update on their story in the next one
Ps: Couldn’t stop smiling at the mention of Crane Hotel

Chirp Audiobook

I’ve been reading palate cleansers all year & this is no exception. A best friends to friends with benefits, this was nice with the perfect amount of angst for someone like me.

The main characters never got unbelievable or unlikeable. Sure, Chris was constantly thinking about whether this could become a real relationship, but most of us would. Especially if you’d been harboring a crush for as long as she had.

Loved this one ❤️

We get to explore Cris and Benji’s relationship which we going a peek at in book 1 (you could certainly read this as a stand alone though). Boy did they deliver! So spicy!

You really get to dive into Cris’s home life and all of the struggles she went through that no one really saw. Bonus more details in Nate and Vivian’s continued romantic. Maybe even some insight into a lady for Archer??

Did I mention I loved this one?!
