Jami was a counselor trying to save lost souls.
Drago finally found his sister, but he was too late.
She is dead.
When he tried to piece together his sister's life, he ask for Jami's help.
Drago found his one true mate ( OTM )
Now, he will do anything to keep her safe.
When danger comes looking for Jami, Drago will not hesitate to use fire on the enemy.
I loved the characters and the storyline.
His sister was the last of his family.
When she died, Drago was truly alone.
Now that he has Jami, he is not alone anymore.
He also has new shiften friends in Serenity.
He found a new family.
I always love a HEA.
Are we going to have books on Jami's sisters ? Violet + Savannah

What he found out he went through the roof with his Dragen Roar. But he had to control his dragen which he has never been able to. But now everything is changed you see he found his One True Mate.

This is one book that will keep you up until it is finished. Jami is a recent graduate who has moved away from home as she was drawn to Serenity, a place from her mother’s past. As a substance abuse counselor, she deals with tragedies but nothing can prepare her for the fact that all of her clients seem to be the victims of foul play. Drago has come to Serenity to find his long lost sister but instead finds out there has been a grave injustice. This leads him to Jami to get the answers he seeks. Jami is drawn to Drago and he is to her as well. Can she accept the new truths that he is telling her? This story is full of intrigue, secrets and above all the trust that bonds two people together. I can't wait for the next story which will hopefully be Jami's sisters.

Okay, it is official, this story is now recycled for the third time.
Entertaining enough but it felt familiar and didn’t really flesh out well enough for me. Some research showed this was originally a book in Lisa Ladew’s True Mates Kindle World series and was then extended to become part of this authors SOUTHERN SHIFTERS world.
Liked the characters and the storyline, would just like to know exactly why the man was killing people and what did they do with him?
I definitely know the next book is a recycled one. I will read it but I don’t expect it to be changed that much.
Luckily, I read it through Kindle Unlimited but would be annoyed if I had paid for it again.

A great read, I was taken into the story from the very beginning and fell in love with the strength and genuineness of the characters and their stories. The world building was intriguing, and the well written storyline is truly captivating, and I hope there are more to come.

What an exciting shifter romance. Jami has returned to the city of her birth, Serenity, to pursue her career as a drug counselor. When another one of her patient’s overdoses, she struggles with the loss. At the same time, she feels like someone is following her. Maxim Drago comes to Serenity to identify his sister, he is shocked to learn she was already cremated. He seeks out Jami, his sister’s counselor, for some answers. What Maxim doesn’t expect is the intense connection he has to Jamie – her scent, voice, touch – could he have just found his one true mate (otm)? Jami is shocked by the intensely sexy man that shows up at her apartment. She is always so cold but his touch warms her bones. As they work to find out what happened to his sister, truths are revealed and Jami learns about a world she never dreamed of. Will she believe that she is Maxim’s OTM? Can she accept her true heritage? Loved this romance and hope that her sister’s stories will be told too. I voluntarily read an ARC of this book and this is my honest review.

Ms Gayle has done it again for me. Enthralling storyline and characters that make me feel like I am part of the story. Like I am right there in the action. Drago was a jerk at first, but the longer I read the more I fell for him. And Jami? I actually liked her. Most of what she does (though it may be TSTL) comes from her heart. Like usual I loved every second of it and will definitely be looking for more of this author and the OTM world

So now, I’m gonna need more of Drago and Mac and see if they ever learn to play nice,
And I need to be there when Drago sees what all Graeme (our only resident dragen at this point)can do with his powers.
Please tell me there is more coming in this story. I don’t want to miss a thing!!

Turn up the heat
What a fantastic read! The author created this fantastic town and filled it with characters that felt real and were easy to connect with. I love the drama of the unknown and the excitement of new love and especially the hint of more stories to come. This book kept me enthralled until the very end and I can’t wait to read whatever comes next from this author.

Plot: Jami is trying to make it as a drug counselor, but lately, she's been hearing voices and feels like she's going crazy. Then a strange Russian man shows up at her door wanting to talk about her latest dead client, and he seems a little crazy as well. Turns out there's a whole hidden society of shifters and she's somehow bound up in it. But Maxim makes her feel things she's never felt before, and he's not willing to back off.
Commentary: This was a quick read with a fairly predictable fated-mate storyline. I liked that Jami had a professional career. Maxim was a little harder to warm up to. He was supposed to be this sort of bad-a$$ business magnate with a hint of mafia sensibility, but with his initial inability to shift, I didn't get the alpha vibes from him at all. He was a big guy, but was only a potential alpha because of his species/size.

A mystery surrounding the sudden death of Jami's client who was trying to keep clean from drugs, Jami was told that she died from an overdose. Jami is upset with losing her client that she tried to help until the clients brother shows up knocking on her door demanding answers. Not only is he demanding he also claims to believe that his sister didnt die from an overdose but was murdered and he wants answers.. After a day together he discovers that Jami is his true mate, something he never believed in and the sherriff in town wants him to leave because dragon shifters are not welcome in bear shifter country... Jami doesnt know that the demanding brother is a dragon and people she thought she knew well are bears... If she is to be a true mate, her mind is about to be blown when she realizes that shifters live among us..
Enjoyed this story even though im not a fan of instant love or meet me at 3:00 and your my true mate at 4:00, lets go to bed at 5:00 and have our mating ceremony at 6:00 and live happily ever after at 7:00...

I loved this book it’s well written & I love Jami & Drago’s relationship, I loved the interaction between Nick & Draco. I can’t wait for the next books. Highly recommend

Ugh! Why can’t I find any good books recently?! I didn’t have high hopes for this book. I honestly only hoped for at least some kind of plot and a HEA…. I was let down.
This book is like a mini novella. It felt like something that should have been on Watpad, written by a novice who only wrote for fun in their spare time.
FMC is our quintessential TSTL Mary Sue. This girl is so ‘sweet’ she’s stupid. I hated everything about her. I can’t even talk about it right now. I’m so disgusted by this girl I have no words.
Drago is our MMC in this book. He’s okay, he is also the quintessential alpha dragon we all expect him to be. Nothing new. His personality is shallow, his backstory is minimal at best and barely even touched on. We only see him as aggressively angry and desperately horny. That is the extent of his personality.
The story felt like it was introduced and then it was finished; it all happened so fast I was left wondering where the rest of the story went. It felt incomplete. We don’t know anything about FMC’s super Psy powers at all. We just know she’s supposed to have them. We have no idea who was stalking her. We don’t know what these characters are going to do with their lives, neither one wants to give up their plans. We don’t know anything!
The world building was weak and almost nonexistent. There was no discernible plot besides the two main characters mating.
By the end of the book our FMC has turned Drago into a weak little bitch. He won’t stand up for himself because she doesn’t want him to, he’s just letting the asshole bear shifters dictate his life now. He won’t kill the serial killer because FMC says no. She wont let him leave this stupid town because she refuses to go anywhere else…he’s whipped, but not in a good way. She’s being super selfish and I hope she dies. That’s how this book ends. Fun times.

Eliza Gayle newest novella feeds my addiction to dragons. Short and sweet and pretty much to the point. One you can read in one yummy sitting.
Dragon’s are arrogant, you can just about feel it rolling off of Maxim. His personality made me laugh. So alpha all up until his feeling got involved, then he’s easily weak kneed by a beauty.
Human or no? Jami has an endearing spirit easy to adore but it wont stop her from showing a bit of grit and sass. She knows something isn’t right about the recent events, but what can she do about it?
Weird dreams and voices in her head, has her leaving her family and home town to move to a quaint small town. She’s passionate in her job, even though it barely covers her rent. The latest death of a client just piles on top of the already stressed Jami.
A buyer and seller with more money than he knows what to do with, thinks most of life is straight forward. Looking for his sister throws him for a loop, even more to shake up the fierce male? I substance abuse counselor with a heart of goal.
Easy quick read just made me fall for dragon’s even more. A bit of danger, a bit of fun and quirkiness. Passionate scenes and emotions that get shaken up a bit. If you like Eliza Gayle this is just another great story to grab. Enjoy.

I just finished this and I'm still trying to figure out why. Why were the girls being murdered? Why were they only Jami Raye's clients? Why was there minimal info on the Psy paranormal? Why were the bear shifters goading a dragon if, by their own admission, dragons were not to be toyed with? How does the whole mating thing work and does it impact the life of a human mate? There was mention of extra power and Psy females being hunted, but there was very little information given. This story was not as fleshed out as I'd have liked it to be. Some of the things that happened pushed the reader to make assumptions about things rather than the author building out the world she was trying to convince us to be entertained in. I would consider giving this author another chance because I saw potential between the pages of this story. It just needed more.

I loved everything about this story, the only bad thing I can say is that I wished it was longer, and I wanted to see what was going to happen to her other 2 sisters, (they are triplets) when they came to Serenity to visit, because we all know if she was a "OTM" Then her her other two sisters are definitely going to be also, which left me wanting to it she was going to write a follow-up , so we would find out who her true mates could possible be, and she only met Rogue which is only one of the 8 ANGELS sisters she has, not including her other two sisters with whom she was born with, so many avenues left open..... GRRR....

Nice beginning to the series. A lot of things aren't explained yet which leads to intrigue in the next books.
This book focuses in on Maxin Drago, a dragon shifter and Jami. Jami moves to a shifter unknowingly. She is there to search for her birth family and to be a drug counselor. But her clients are dieing. Drago is there to search for his sister who happens to be a client of Jami's.

Good story full of intrigue and hot shifters. This is my first OTM book but it is a great intro into the OTM World. Drago and Jami are interesting and engaging and they kept me reading, wanting to learn their story. I freely reviewed this ARC.

I love dragons stories and this one really was good. Although short it ticked off all the points you like in a true HEA.

Another good addition
Pretty good story of a dragen finding the mate he didn't know he needed. Drago and Jami have a whirlwind romance while trying to figure out why Jami is losing her patients along with Drago's sister from overdose.

Ok normally voices in the head means your going nuts right.....
Loved Jami and Maxim the characters are up to Eliza's ususal standard where nothing goes as planned but everything works in the end.

This is the 2nd book I have read in the One True Mate Universe and I totally love it. Especially loved seeing Mac and Rogue again!!
